My worst fpv drone crash? Here you go. Crashed into myself, then it plunged into the water – https://youtu.be/JSAhyse_IE8

  5. MabitzZ on December 5, 2020 at 9:38 pm

If you geht into fpv you should have 50+ hours on a Simulator before you Start flying seriosly

  6. Drross FPV on December 5, 2020 at 9:39 pm

You guys are in Newmarket, right? I’ll come help you out. Hit me up!

  7. Huck&PrayFPV on December 5, 2020 at 9:39 pm

Someone is addicted to FPV now 😂😂😂 it’s all good brother. It happens to the best of us

  8. Bruce Doyle on December 5, 2020 at 9:41 pm

lmao, i just posted on your first FPV Drone, on why not getting a RTF Drone instead of having your friend build it xD

  9. Ben Canney on December 5, 2020 at 9:45 pm

If you want to tell if your quad will catch in fire you can get a smoke stopper on amazon for like 10 bucks

  10. PyurTek on December 5, 2020 at 9:46 pm

He fried the board with his finger because he wasn’t wearing an ESD strap while assembling it. It’d be a good idea to get one next time your working with circuit boards on a component level

  11. CrashTestDummy_FPV ctdfpv on December 5, 2020 at 9:47 pm

Enjoying your first FPV days a lot! Never thought a Cinewhoop should be a good novice Kwad, but you are right, it is!!
Isn’t FPV fun?? and they want to take it from us.

    Some tips:
Troubleshoot your first drone, and fix it (you replaced the FC and the ESC, probably only the FC was broken). You will crash again and again and again (BIS x 10K), so the solution may not be "go buy another two" each time. This hobby is 30% fixing stuff. 30% acquiring pilot skills, 30% might be racing or video editing and the last 10% is watching other guys either in real life or YouTube.
Use a Bat-Safe box to charge your lipos.
You already heard of conformal coating. Do it if you are flying on snow.

My worst crash: I lost video while I was maybe 200m away. I took off the googles, switch to Horizon mode, and tried to LOS it back to me. But because the sun blocked my view, I confused my drone (it was a tiny but powerful Armattan Gecko) with a bird. So go figure… it wasn’t reacting the way I was directing it. My buddy, who was probably tracking the right "bird" was giving me direction (probably the correct ones) that didn’t made any sense to me… because I was looking at something else. Imagine the frustration once I recognized I was trying to control a bird for the last 10 seconds (felt like 10 minutes). F*&k!

  12. Neil Camara on December 5, 2020 at 9:48 pm

Hey, nice learning just like me. I’m new to fpv. Yesterday, I flew by a water tower. It was awesome! Here it is – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_YoKs7Yfm8 Anyways, I’d like to know your thoughts about the DJI fpv goggles. I’m thinking of buying but I wasn’t sure if it’s really good. Thank you! I sub’d btw. Hope you can sub back 🙂

  15. Beard&HammerRC on December 5, 2020 at 9:51 pm

Subbed! Im prepping to build my first "built" fpv micro drone and just repaired my First bought micro. Its also my first fpv drone crash and repair.. Old school kingkong 90gt that i bounced off a trailer and broke a motor.. Im seriously walking in ya’ll footsteps.. Thanks for sharing!

  16. Abhy Roy on December 5, 2020 at 9:54 pm

TMS production video was much better then this

  17. Jules Wilser on December 5, 2020 at 9:55 pm

If ur drone falls for example in water or someting like that u can just take every single part and put it in rice for like 2 days and u can’t empty ur battery more than 30% in general so pay attention to not use one batterie like five minutes in a row.
If the batterie has only like 1 or even 0% just let it refresh and normaly after some time it has 5% again but u cant let it uncharged too long under 30% and if ur batteries are charged at 100% pay attention to not stock them fully loaded cause they can break if u let them too long charged or completely unchargedu can’t put the batterie on thz charger if it is still hot.

  18. Slow Entropy on December 5, 2020 at 9:55 pm

Here’s a tip, start with nano quads. Mobula, Tinnyhawk etc… I actually prefer them anyways, you can fly anywhere at anytime and they are so damn cheap!

  19. Zechariah Stanley on December 5, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Guys when your stuff gets wet dry it and stick it in rice. I have a tiny whoop drone that went under water I unplugged the battery rinsed it in distilled water dried it and suck it in rice for 4 days and it works perfectly

Edit You want to rinse in distilled water to get any minerals off the electronics that could corrode metal. Water has minerals but distilled water does not. Rinsing the drone or device in distilled water effectively washes away the minerals google It if this isnt clear enough or you can ask me questions it works well. It’s not mandatory to wash In distilled water but you definitely want to if you land in salt water like the ocean or something

  20. Leave Early on December 5, 2020 at 9:57 pm

  21. supermendi007 on December 5, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Oh God please just let me give you guys a hand

  22. Kevin Oselinsky on December 5, 2020 at 9:57 pm

You shouldn’t have started on a 5 inch

  23. Robert on December 5, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Well yes FPV freestyle is on another level ,I have four 5 inch and been doing this for 2 years now, As i live in Sweden it’s hard to do it in the winter,At Least more than one or 2 battery packs at the time as its freking cold outside but in the summer aaa yes .

Also would do it in this order …
#. Buy a BNF quad, (Bind and fly) which is prebuilt, That way it takes the steep learning curve down a bit in the beginning. There will be a time when something goes broken but i think it’s a good middle way to start this hobby.

#. Do not purchase the best/most expensive before you know if this is something you are going to use in the long run. some will get bored after a while, Maybe due to to much hassle or anything else.

#. Also before even thinking of an FPV drone, Just buy a transmitter like a FrSky or something and a sim like Liftoff or FPV Freerider, Some transmitters may need an special sim adapter cable for the transmitter–>computer and also a sim won’t feel 100% same but it helps A lot for the first real flight and on! Teach your brain to fly on the computer first.

#. Find and spend time with others who fly FPV, Newbies or seniors in this hobby it doesn’t matter! It’s usually great people who share the same interest and you will learn alot faster if you are new to the hobby.

    That’s my thoughts

  24. Sen9733 on December 5, 2020 at 9:58 pm

you spent $200 on two LiPos?

  25. Mac Burgess on December 5, 2020 at 10:01 pm

I think you need a balance charging board.
you will be able to charge up to 20-24 batteries at a time.

  26. Matti Haapoja on December 5, 2020 at 10:03 pm

I wanna hear your worst drone crash stories! To make myself feel better about the recent crashes haha

  27. Nirmal.A on December 5, 2020 at 10:04 pm

U should never lipo battery’s voltage go so low, then your battery will have struggle while

  28. Vale? on December 5, 2020 at 10:05 pm

did the guy remove the esc aswell😂 You just need to switch out the fc

  31. Aki Sysmäläinen on December 5, 2020 at 10:10 pm

For winter flying the waterproofing your quad is way to go. No snow crash will stop you flying after that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGco6rlJTXE

  32. nick Buzzorca on December 5, 2020 at 10:11 pm

Water proof the drone electronics with silicone coating

  33. toxic steve's ranch on December 5, 2020 at 10:13 pm

How about using a 5 buck esd bracelet and table mat to prevent hundreds of dollars worth of fried equipment

  34. Fired FPV - Oran Tao on December 5, 2020 at 10:14 pm

Well, it’s not FPV and Mavic thing. It’s manual and automatic flight mode thing. You just not quite good in flying manually. Ok for real, you can’t really able to control your aircraft by your own. You still need the autopilot from GPS/auto level which is in those DJI, Parrot thing. In my opinion, filming drone is flying camera not a flying aircraft while FPV drone is real flying. So… one needs to become a pilot not a flying camera controller in order to fly what you say FPV drone.

  35. upplsuckimcool16 on December 5, 2020 at 10:15 pm

Ok I’ve been in FPV for like 6 months now and on forums and i’ve NEVER heard of anyone leaving batteries on a charger for a long period of time lmfao…. You thought leaving them on the charger set to storage voltage was how you store them!!??? LOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

  36. Liam Peck on December 5, 2020 at 10:16 pm

Center your battery on the quad, it will fly a lot better! Thanks for the great video, I remember the difficult practice weekends. Lol

  38. Bernardo Gaona on December 5, 2020 at 10:18 pm

You should use waterproof circuit board spray on it

  39. nick Buzzorca on December 5, 2020 at 10:19 pm

Adjusting your pids might make the drone smoother to use, try watching le dribs videos, his drones are really smooth.

  43. Ty Dortch on December 5, 2020 at 10:21 pm

YUP I’ve gone through 3 flight controller and fried them just by trying to install them🙂 hell of a hobby lol

  44. TAPP Channel on December 5, 2020 at 10:21 pm

is it ok for that onewheel to ride on the wet pavement like here?? Just talked to the onewheel support today and they said to absolutely don not use when its wet outside… Just asking since I just placed an order for XR 😀 Cheers

Can you give me your honest opinion..how are those goggles are they really clear? And if they are can I go long range? Or even anyone’s opinion on the goggles thank you guys and happy flying to all..

  46. JMD on December 5, 2020 at 10:22 pm

If anyone can help clarify these drone legal questions that would be super appreciated! Been hearing such mixed results online, so confused.

    1) Been hearing you’re not allowed to upload drone footage to YouTube at all because even if you’re not making money from YouTube, you’re technically still promoting footage which then counts as commercially using and you will get fined or reported. I got my drone licensed with the standard $5 fee through faa gov — not sure if this is the license to freely upload to youtube legally.

    2) I see people constantly uploading videos flying illegally over the golden gate bridge for instance, do they just not care or currently of 2020, is there no way anyone can track your drone in flight or prove you were flying it after uploading to YouTube?

  47. Imagination Tech on December 5, 2020 at 10:25 pm

One of my favorite YouTubers I learn filmmaking from got into FPV! My channel’s all about FPV. You’re doing great Matti! 🙂
