I want to learn FPV, but I don’t have the tools to build my own one and I also know nothing about FPV drones. Do you know any good prebuild drone kit that has a controller, drone and goggles inside and that can carry an action camera? I’m using an Osmo Action.
I’m not searching for a cheap beginners drone, I want to start with a good one , my budget is around 350 euro.
    Can you pls help me?

HI Captain! I am into DJI drones but wanted to buy a racing drone, which one is the best? There is so much information around, but apparently no one is a clear winner n this field!

  8. Brendan O'Mara on August 17, 2020 at 10:21 am

Great story! I may just have to try one! How do you feel about the short flying times? Is that scary after flying other drones with 10+ mins of flying time? I’m always afraid I’ll loose it from running out of juice! Also – did you build this from a kit or purchase it built?

It makes me dizzy seriously dizzy just watching fpv on YouTube . I can’t watch the whole video I have to keep looking way or I physically get sick.. something wrong with my brain LOL..

flying those fpv racing drones is very dangerous and only practical in wide open areas.. which is not going to happen near the city.. you have to fly way high in the air.. those things could kill someone how heavy they are if you lose control..

near the city there’s always people you’re never alone. Even in a football there’s always someone or something going on..

Also those goggles cost a lot of money..

I hear ya! My Ford Edge was quoted $880 by the Ford dealer to replace the backup camera. I bought one for $75 online and replace it myself! Nice report, I’ve often thought about a race quad, but I have 4 DJI quads already. I need to sell a couple.

Trying to decide between an fpv and a camera drone to help find RC planes that go missing in the weeds/woods around my flying field. Do you think the speed and lack of easy hover of the fpvโ€™s should steer me towards a camera drone?

  15. Lee Wattenbarger on August 17, 2020 at 10:28 am

I’ve been enjoying your Vids for a while as I try and decide which drone would be best to document my boat travels. I appreciate your knowledge and the production skills evident in all your vids-Thanks for putting out all this useful and interesting content. I’ve noticed you are frequently hampered my cold hands and seem to cut short your filming occasionally when your hands get too cold. I used to have the same issue when filming my kids Lacrosse games in the early spring and finally resorted to the single use packaged hand warmers. I found it helpful to keep an activated warmer in each jacket pocket. However the operating temperature is fairly low, so I needed at least 5 seconds or so to begin to feel the warmth. Also, back in the 1950s, my Dad got my brother and I a couple of "Jon-E" hand warmers which ran on lighter fluid that heated a catalytic element. Those were extremely warm and could not be held in a bare hand without the protective fabric pouch. There’s a new, and I assume improved, model currently sold under the "Zippo" brand which I have not used. You probably know all or much of this, but like me you may need to hear about several times before trying it.

Hey I have some experience with FPV drones and have been considering spending more time with them. What bind and fly quads do you recommend? I build two about four years ago but don’t have the interest now.

  18. Lo']['uZ on August 17, 2020 at 10:32 am

How much did you pay for the drone and goggles? I have a Phantom SE and a mavic air. I am thinking about getting into race drone f ok r the sheer thrill of it. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

May wanna consider strapping the battery down before plugging in to minimise movement while the gyros calibrate, also you’re not hangin onto it if it goes rogue. FPV4LIFE. Enjoy.

After watching this video and alot more i feel some "yeah, i would like to try that"…however, i feel there is so much to learn. I am completly new on this. What i want is a fpv race drone that includes everything you need. Is there anything out there that have it or do i have to buy all of the parts from different places?:)

Just love fpv quads. Really bad at flying them and crash them frequently but so much fun.๐Ÿ˜ Can get expensive though as I constantly keep buying better equipment and quads.

  34. mosephina on August 17, 2020 at 10:50 am

Yo, Captain…have you considered the DJI FPV system? Supposedly, it increases range dramatically, and, being digital, it has a higher quality video feed to the goggles, but the system is $1K more or less.

Do you have any thoughts on that system?

  44. Bruno Brunetti on August 17, 2020 at 11:03 am

Nice video, but if all your getting is 2 football fields and 3 min of battery, I think dji is a better choice for me. Btw, what does that build cost (gogggles, bird and GoPro …all in)??

  45. Joe Marianna on August 17, 2020 at 11:07 am

Cool video. I was thinking to get into FPV. Watching videos I get confused with binding, beta, pids, and so on.

  46. mrgoodbye95 on August 17, 2020 at 11:08 am

Nice job man. Rare to see a camera drone channel supporting the fpv culture as well. I like the fact that you explain very basic things in most of your videos, so every audience can keep in touch with what you saying. I would like to see in a future video the exact experience an fpv pilot gets by a POV sample . Many starters get dissapointed when they meet the analog image(pixel lines. signal cuts ,etc.) ,as they are used to digital HD(which has a delayed signal ofc but the image is pretty solid and clear.). Another great fact is that fpv drones are completely tunable and customizable to your preferencies, sso if you want to change your camera or antenna you dont have to change anything else. You know, things that will make people be more selective between building an fpv drone or buying a camera drone. Everyone is excited just to pilot a drone without even touching one yet. So i think it would guide some people in a nice way. Thank for your videos man . Have fun piloting!!

  47. Rich H on August 17, 2020 at 11:08 am

Yes1 Need cockpit views and laser targeting weapons to dog fight using VR. Future wars will require this skill set.

  48. Zangeef Fangsteen on August 17, 2020 at 11:08 am

I would buy one if the image quality wasn’t so horrendously bad. I looked into all the cameras and there was no usable option, outside of mounting a Yi 4K+/etc. The low image quality literally upsets me too much to look at.

  49. S B on August 17, 2020 at 11:10 am

I think I would be sitting in the car with the heat on flying that thing.

  50. Rob the Wayward Woodworker on August 17, 2020 at 11:10 am

I am curious if the FPV drones are home made or if they come complete. And how do they compare in price to something like the DJI Phantom 4? Thanks and it’s always nice to see a YouTuber from Canada! Cheers.
