Most tourists don’t realize that Las Vegas is a city and the Strip is not in the city. The entire valley is often considered “Las Vegas” and is made up of 9 communities. Each with their own thoughts on flying Drones. We are surrounded by National Parks, State Parks, Military areas, major airports and power stations. Most are big “No Fly” zones for Drones.

Drone Laws are changing almost daily and so what’s stated here today may change in the future!

Remember: Fly Legal, Fly Safe. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us!!

Hi Mark nice channel thank you for the info. I’m coming on vacation to Vegas at the end of the month I’m resident in the UK.I have registered my drone with the FAA,,,
I have got apps B4 you fly, FAA DJI Airmaps and Flysafe. They seem to all read differently on NO fly zones!!!! Can you please tell me if I can fly my drone at Mount Charleston? and valley of Fire? Las Vegas is expensive for us coming from the UK and I do not want to have a fine as well.. Many thanks Mark and thank you. Graham

Hi I enjoy your videos they’re interesting. Just like to know if you could help me. I am from Canada and I own a phantom 4 drone. I spend three months of the year down in Las Vegas Nevada. Just like to know how or if I need a license or do I have to register my drone when I come down there. Or what the law is. Any help you can give me would be great.

Thanks again. For any help you can give me. Hope you have a great day and take care.

Well that worked out well equestrian South is right by my house……drone score!

  17. Patrick EH on July 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm

Cities can make NO laws about flying. You are mistaken. FAA has 100% jurisdiction

I am looking forward to part 2. How do they attempt to limit your flights in other parks?

  19. The Vegas Tourist on July 2, 2021 at 12:01 am

Drones are getting more and more popular and the laws about where and how we can fly them are changing rapidly. The FAA is way behind on rules and regulations even for model airplanes. So they keep us on our toes.

There are a lot of "no fly" zones in and around Las Vegas. But there are also a lot of open areas where it is legal, maybe not as glamorous, but just as fun and it keeps you from getting a ticket. Check your Drone Apps before sending your little friend into the sky. ok??
