I have ryze tello and it’s the best drone for traveling 😀

  2. Matt Brewer on July 26, 2020 at 7:57 am

Knew it 😃Totally agree … My m2p flight experiences just get better and better.

  3. Aivis Dornis on July 26, 2020 at 7:58 am

Seems like you don’t appreciate your stuff… throwing it around like that 😃

  4. Michael Hype on July 26, 2020 at 7:59 am

Been watching vids as I’m considering a Mavic 2 Pro… and this guy is one of the best.

  5. Gilberto Arce on July 26, 2020 at 7:59 am

I never travel without my toothbrush.

  6. MrSkiCam on July 26, 2020 at 7:59 am

The one thing I never travel without is my Passport mate 🙂

  7. Will EDC on July 26, 2020 at 8:02 am

It’s funny how every model is perfectly slotted. Mavic pro goes with me. I was considering the spark but it would need 2 batteries for the one of the mavic for the same flight time. It’s not more portable , it’s just cheaper. Tello is rubbish outdoors I’ve done many tests. If the mavic air had ocusync I would consider to add that to my stable.
I don’t even bother to carry a dslr while traveling anymore. A smartphone some basic photography knowledge and a nice editing app is all that is needed to close the gap for social media worthy shots.
So with that said , a big usb powerbank is what I never travel without because the smartphone does everything now. And also my friends always forget to charge their phones 🙄

  11. Ben Foong on July 26, 2020 at 8:08 am

I had a mavic pro , air 2pro and Spark . I chose the air after mav 2 because the casing was too big to slip into my rucksack as a carryon

Title is a little bit wrong, what is the best DJI drone to travel….what about Parrot Anafi or Autel….

  18. Gregg W on July 26, 2020 at 8:17 am

Thanks for video. I had a fraction of the options that you have when packing for holidays back in August, but my biggest concerns were the local drone laws in Corsica, where I was heading. Couldn’t find much info. Have you got a single go-to source of info on drone rules around the world? I’ve read some real horror stories about drones being confiscated in Tunisia.

  19. Alan Carter on July 26, 2020 at 8:17 am

    Primark.?

  20. Oxford Blue on July 26, 2020 at 8:18 am

I have an Inspire 2 with X7 and a Mavic 2 Pro and love them. However, I’m cycling between Vietnam and Cambodia over Christmas/New Year and after much pondering I’ve specially purchased a Parrot Anafi 4K. It’s a third of the price of the M2P, fits in a small back-pack, has great functions, autonomous modes and with the latest 6.3.1 update, has great quality imaging and if it goes AWOL, I’m not going to weep buckets. It’s big plus is that it’s soooo quiet, so less likely to go upsetting people, compared to DJI equivalents. It also comes with a great man bag, if you buy the extended kit, it stays up for 25 minutes and big plus, it doesn’t have NFZ!. Granted, it doesn’t have collision avoidance, but a) I’m not bothered, as it just makes you fly it more carefully, and b) at 320 grams, even if you do prang it, it doesn’t disintegrate and just bounces back into action. Worth a look ikopta.

  21. drie wiel on July 26, 2020 at 8:21 am

My drone was $55. It has everything. 3 axis loose hanging wires, earthquake experience, space-time jumping video. auto-crash.

  22. Magnus Persson on July 26, 2020 at 8:21 am

Very nice video Dylan! Only backpack and kayak expeditions sofar…no planes yet but I can really understand your arguments. God I love the MP and M2P! Thumbs up for the video and for good advice.

  23. Brian Harris on July 26, 2020 at 8:21 am

A question, very apt for the time of year. My mate was flying his spark in low lying fog/mist at about 80ft when all of a sudden the controller beeped saying it was landing. He noticed that suddenly the height was showing 2ft!! The spark just hovered while the controller constantly beeped. He put power on and climbed up above the mist and landed in clearer air.
Q.Would the spark have shut the motors off thinking it was landing when it was actually 80ft up.
Or would it have hovered at 80ft thinking it was at 2ft until critical battery level forced it to land, and would it then have come down by 2ft and shut the motors off even tho it was at 78ft.
Thanks for a great enjoyable series of vids by the way 👌

One thing that I find invaluable, is the Bagel adaptor. It’s a round charging adaptor that is small but can take loads of plugs of different types. And can plug into any type of outlet

  25. Kenneth Matteson on July 26, 2020 at 8:22 am

more confused now then ever lol

  26. Chunter GB on July 26, 2020 at 8:23 am

I take my mavic water floats for extra peace of mind , just in case I crash over water it’ll be easier to get back for repair than trying to find a local diver who may or may not speak English.

  27. Stuart Guest on July 26, 2020 at 8:24 am

Another great video mate, wow you packed a lot into that one, it was also nice to see you with a wee spark in your hands again #goweefellaspark. It’s my travel companion these days for holidays. I would like to hear your thoughts on the Osmo pocket as you mentioned it…. I am between the hero 7 and the Osmo p. I have a hero 4 already so am tempted by the djiop as it is just to film my holidays in the sun, don’t need an action camera and so far I am leaning towards the Osmo, thoughts?

  28. Ian Bailey on July 26, 2020 at 8:28 am

Wherever I go it has to be my P4P Yes it has a larger footprint than the smaller drones but not so much to be a major hassle. It does everything I need it to do. It’s more rugged and copes a lot better with wind and weather etc than the smaller drones. Also apart from the obvious I always take my landing pad for a number of reasons they’re not just a gimmick like some people think!

  29. iSonic on July 26, 2020 at 8:30 am

great vid dylan! i always have my gopro with me and my spark! not for commercial flights but travelling with spark makes things easy and lightweight! palmlaunch lets me fly everywhere no need for looking for a place to start/land and on top spark doesn’t attract people’s attention so much! takes me 1 1/2 min to take off! love your vids! enjoy your trip and have a nice xmas holiday! best greets from switzerland

  30. Su Amigo El Ilegal on July 26, 2020 at 8:30 am

I’m trying to decide witch one should I buy and what would be better for my self. I watch a lot of videos on witch should I choose but the funny part is that I don’t even have a job and I’m disability cause I have a messed up back 😂🤣 the only place I can fly it is on my back yard

  31. randygrimes78 on July 26, 2020 at 8:31 am

    Old school mavic pro!

  32. Kelvin on July 26, 2020 at 8:32 am

Should have called it "The best DJI drone" to travel with.

  33. Milan Krkus on July 26, 2020 at 8:33 am

Where can I fix my mavic air? Have a issue with gimbal overhead and it can’t be in level

  34. Peter Weber on July 26, 2020 at 8:36 am

Mavic Pro, If you don’t own a Mavic Pro 2 😀

  35. Wildlife Safaris Johannesburg on July 26, 2020 at 8:36 am

Sell all your equipment and you could buy your own Bell Helicopter and you won’t have to use Ryanair

  36. stewedapple on July 26, 2020 at 8:36 am

I currently travel with a Pgytech case for my M2P inside my carry-on luggage case, then surround by clothes etc. I have a hard case backpack on order however that may not work with my case inside my carry-on idea as there would be no spare room, and I hate checking-in baggage for a flight, perhaps I’ll use the hard backpack for going bush etc. By the way, I’ve noticed you are very rough with your equipment, is that just for the video or is that how you normally roll? It always looks like you are about to drop something and are so rich that your drones don’t mean much to you.

  37. Nick Powell Photography on July 26, 2020 at 8:40 am

Dylan, your channel is awesome!!! Have learnt so much, and am currently studying for the PFCO. I was wondering if you have ever flown in Australia? I have registered on their website, and emailed the forms etc, but have not heard anything back at all. They say it takes up to 6 weeks, but a confirmation email would be nice. Cheers. 😁

  38. Al Bolen on July 26, 2020 at 8:40 am

Hey Dylan, where in British Columbia are you headed?

  39. Steve Forster on July 26, 2020 at 8:41 am

Excellent choice Dylan sir, although I do have a Tello in my bag wherever I go now for instant gratification 😉

  40. peter hughes on July 26, 2020 at 8:41 am

Hi Dylan, thanks for the video, be interesting to see what your thoughts are on the two different sets of filters, the man in red has brought the M2p but not the filters yet. Have a good trip, take care and catch you later. Peter

  41. Wynn Hau on July 26, 2020 at 8:42 am

    I never travel without money

  42. Terry Ambrey on July 26, 2020 at 8:43 am

Dylan. What do you deplete your batteries to when you travel. I have a platinum so I’ll be taking that? Thanks.

  43. TYPE xxi - WOLF on July 26, 2020 at 8:43 am

10 batteries – well, that will make you suspicious until you found 4 people in your queue who agree to carry 2 of them for you.

  44. Roger St martin on July 26, 2020 at 8:44 am

Thanks for the video…. great topic and very informative as always ✌️👍

  45. Danny Fyffe on July 26, 2020 at 8:47 am

You are going with 4K/30fps. So much for slo-mo. Should have taken a serious tool called the Autel Evo.
