So it’s basically a delicate piece of electronic equipment that needs to be handled with care and not bashed on the ground a 1000 times like typical carbon ones. Also so deep dive into the motors should help us understand the efficiency of DJIs motors and Crack the code behind those obnoxiously long flight times.

I was hoping there would be some sort of camera/vtx/recording module and i could buy it separately to put on my custom quad. But it all seems to be integrated.

i recently crashed my drone and had to change the body of it .. it was a hell of a work for me and my shaky fingers D: but i somehow made it but now the 2 rear motors aren’t spinning when i start it and the info in the googles says that the selftest of the "drive control" doesn’t work and i should restart the drone or conntact support … any ideas what this could be ? did i frie some parts of the esc as i took it apart ? or could it be anything else ? would be nice if someone could help me out with that

If anyone can design a carbon fiber frame to fit all these electronics that will make the drone more durable, it would be Chris from Armattanquads

Teardown and rebuild on a 5 inch carbon fiber frame. Maybe some 3d parts. That would be fun to see.

  38. J Boy FPV on July 21, 2022 at 8:16 pm

Great video !! Would the antenna wire that hooks up to GPS board keep the drone from turning on if it was cut in half from a crash ? The heat sink module mounting tabs broke and pushed over cutting the left ADS-B Antenna wire. Hope you can help. Thank you for making this video.

Nice Video…….! are TearDown the Remote too??…. Thanks.!!

  41. Petter Bruland on July 21, 2022 at 8:23 pm

Ordered replacement parts. Crashed it into 60 mphs into power lines, and found the drone after 90 minutes of searching. Busted arms and battery missing. The battery falls out a bit too easily, perhaps by design. Anyhow, thank you for a detailed video. Will be watching it a few times soon 🙂

  42. Joao Victor F. Carvalho on July 21, 2022 at 8:23 pm

Hey, do you think it is possible to take apart the video transmitter from the dji drone and the camera and make it work in another non dji drone? Or it might be some signal necessary feom the MB for it to work?

  43. Ardren on July 21, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Great video. It looks over-designed, and poorly constructed.

I really don’t understand DJI. They have so much talent, technology, and experience, but seemed to have significantly missed the mark. It could have been a great product if they scaled everything back a bit and spent anytime (at all) on toughness, modularity and repairability.

I am in the UK , I have a Yuneec H that will not power up after being in storage , no startup sounds etc , batteries have been tried in another Yuneec H Hex and work fine , do you think you would be able to repair this Drone or would cost bake it not worthwhile ?

  47. JT Winters on July 21, 2022 at 8:27 pm

I wonder if anyone had taken the hardware and installed them into a different body. Maybe one less prone to breaking and lighter?
