The noise of these drones is awful. Suddenly I’m in a flight path listening to drones all day.

Wanna save people time. Then hire people to run your stores and not just self checkout only taking CC’s. I swear some CEOs are money hungry only. They don’t care about the people

If Zipline comes to deliver in my area I will order a small toy for the kids on Christmas Eve and tell them Santa 🎅 will fly over our house and bring you a present 🎁

LOL…people need to wake up….drone delivery is nice and cool…BUT, the genera public have no idea as to what is behind all this commercial drone companies and how they are buying the skies and how YOU are denied your rights, be it privacy or property rights, ( and btw the FAA claim they own the air to the ground everywhere in the US ) that includes yours btw.
example is they want to deliver to your neighbor BUT the only way to their yard is through yours, guess who does not have a say in it ? Right , Y-O-U , why ? because the FAA claims they own/regulate all the airspace even yours over your property…which i might add the courts have ruled many times since the 1930’s that YOU have the right to the airspace above your property to the lower status….NOT the Federal Government.
Navigable airspace that the FAA regulates has altitude limits and restrictions…for example § 91.119 Minimum safe altitudes
Except when necessary for takeoff or landing, no person may operate an aircraft below the following altitudes:
Over congested areas. Over any congested area of a city, town, or settlement, or over any open air assembly of persons, an altitude of 1,000 feet above the highest obstacle within a horizontal radius of 2,000 feet of the aircraft.
Over other than congested areas. An altitude of 500 feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.
There are exceptions like Helicopters and powered parachutes and weight shift controlled aircraft
A helicopter may be operated at less than the minimums prescribed in paragraph (b) or (c) of this section, provided each person operating the helicopter complies with any routes or altitudes specifically prescribed for helicopters by the FAA; and A powered parachute or weight-shift-control aircraft may be operated at less than the minimums prescribed in paragraph (c) of this section.

That Congress established navigable airspace law has NEVER been changed just so you know..BUT the FAA claims they own and regulated ALL airspace to the ground and that includes your property ( yard ) and by the simple Law/statute above they simply do not at all
SO if you like your privacy and property rights and Constitutional rights denied for a little box of Walmart goodies…Great…BUT do not whine when these zips turn to drones the size of your SUV and they fly through your yard to get to your neighbors and they drop boxes the size of crates while your kids and animals are enjoying a romp in the yard as they buzz you with many props the size of small manned aircraft are twirling about and hope none of them crash OR drop the package to fast or in the wrong place…yeah that is what they are working on…the zip line seen in the vid is just testing, it is NOT the final concept…get educated on the REAL facts behind all of this wise up and see the TRUTH
read about the FAA’s Unconstitutional claims and forcing simple RC Aviation Hobbyists out f the sly for these commercial entities who are buying the airspace, including YOURS you do indeed own as the courts have said….wake up America, this is just a small part of a larger goal and the CONTROL they want over every aspect of your life…do NOT sell out your rights for a small drop box today that will soon be Large one tomorrow that you pay for by having no say in it….WAKE UP

Many articles on the real truth, research the facts for yourself.

One of my concerns is the excessive amount of packaging waste— The shipping boxes look pretty durable– are they only the same cost as a box shipped by UPS? And what about the parachutes? Can they be reused?

Parachutes are only feasible if people have an acre of land to drop an item.

  17. Remnar on August 19, 2022 at 8:24 pm

I used to order groceries and over time, drivers are not wanting to make the delivery. The last time it happened was the last. So Walmart is aparantly not paying their drivers or is hiring lazy bums. Or is causing a fake issue in order to fire them all and use robots instead. Either way I am not doing business with them again.

FYI. Zipline is the leader in this area and have already been doing this successfully in Rwanda and other areas for years performing critical medical deliveries. USA is in the dark as usual about all this. For those concerned about the color of the freaking box and if it can be reused just paint the box your favorite color and use it for your little kitty cat🤣😅

Oh please Gail you don’t care about dude in his yard. Plus the chances of that happening are super low considering it’s got a parachute and a human head is such a small target. Nothing is easy in innovation though. Leave it to Gail to bring the negative Nancy vibe and the stupid remark 🤦‍♂️

  38. Kevin Glass on August 19, 2022 at 8:50 pm

I’ve lived in Arkansas for 9 years and fully support this. People wont care about the Fedex truck that crashes and kills people, but they will probably complain of this. Think about the folks who live too far from the pharmacy! This will save lives. Here is a link of the work they have done in Rwanda saving lives by delivering blood:
