Unmanned Ground Vehicles | DRONE WARFARE

Unmanned ground vehicles or ground drones are pretty amazing bits of tech! Are they going to become a prominent asset on the modern battlefield? I think we are already there.

Hope you enjoy!!

Hate to be that guy… but sooner than later some people will have a rude awakening regarding that tech…

    Won’t be pretty either.

Love your military tactic review at the end! =)
I think the Air Force could already have been replaced by drones, reducing needed humans in the air force by probably 90%.
I also think the Navy is the most logical next step to full drones.
The Marines and Army? Well, there is still a need for human contact in most areas that need to be "occupied"

With today’s military being extremely sensible to casualties I’m afraid that in any potential future conflict one relatively massive loss of lives would result in a capitulation. If for example the Chinese sunk one of our carriers which would instantly result in thousands of lives lost, our current soft skinned social media society could ask for an immidiate stopping of combat operations.
Or if for example a salvo of hypersonic glide missiles annihilates the Chinese navy’s Hainan submarine base, which would also result in a massive amount of casualties, the Chinese people may demand their government to instantly stop their aggressive moves in South China sea.
But than again, I maybe completely wrong and such large amount of deaths in a single day could result in a Pearl Harbor like reaction where the population would ask for revenge and blood…

In 2018 already thete were swarm AI being developed. Now that research is more developed and in use. These could be also tied to UCAVs and that would be effing terrifying.

  23. John 14:6 Muay Thai on March 31, 2021 at 1:21 am

The word GOSPEL means “good news. The Good News then is what is taught about something good. This teaching is found in Scripture Alone. The Scripture teaches that God is Holy.God’s Holiness and Sovereignty demand Holiness (complete perfection) from every human.Humanity has sinned, fallen from perfection, and commits sins because we are sinners.God is His holiness is required to be just, therefore, the just condemnation for sin is death. Therefore all men are dead spiritually and will die physically and will enter into a second death eternally. So what’s the good news? God sent the Son, fully God, fully man, born of a virgin, prophesied forever, to live as a human being.Jesus is His name. He is the Christ (messiah), or the Holy Anointed of God.He lived a life of absolute perfection without any sin before God as a man.He then died a death that He did not deserve in order to take the punishment (death) of sinners. His death Atoned (paid for) the sins of His people.Jesus’ death satisfied the wrath of God justly, because He substituted in life (obedience) and death (punishment) for His people.God, through the hearing of this truth, brings to life sinners and causes them to be born again to a living hope in Jesus Christ.Jesus rose from the dead and lives today in order to vindicate all His claims and promises. Therefore, Christ has taken the wrath of God from all who believe, those for whom He died and their sins will be held against them no more. The good news then is that those who trust in this redemption through this God-man Jesus, have eternal life.

Just stick a lobotomised prisoner in it to "man" the gun. Thats the 1st step towards a kataphron battle servitor.

  27. Nikita Tarsov on March 31, 2021 at 1:26 am

UGVs are imho a question of society more than of strategical matters. They save lives, make war more a game or a money invest rather than a serious thing. The one with more money wins. It also menas you need more education to your new troop of drone-supervisors and engeneers. You have to protect your networks, pimp your A.I.’s etc., etc..
America is one of the biggest investors in this case, and lacks a lot of good education that is needet to keep such a weapon from getting used against yourself(by hijacking single vehicles or whole networks). A society without contact to the warfare of ther nation is also very thretend by the idea, something can’t happen – and in fact will get a victim of counter-warfare very soon.

But the comercial vid, and very much the whole actual drone discussion, is to sell ideas to byrocrates, not to bring anything usefull to the field. Maybe the results of this company game will find place to the real world once. But there is no telling now on which side, and in which shape.

Btw.: Germany has a remote IFV in service, which is quite cool for a tech nation without so much soldiers, but a problem by an underfinanced military not able to keep up with evoluting digital warfare. Good for fighting Taliban with Nokias, bad for fighting – for example – russians or chinese. So very much a future weapon, just inable to work proper in this future.

    Automated warfare literally..

  29. Mark Brisec on March 31, 2021 at 1:28 am

Logistics UGVs aren’t called donkeys, they’re called mules..Like a packing mule.. I’ve never heard somebody referring to them as donkeys. But again I may be mistaken… That being said I don’t see the technology evolving enough to deploy UGVs any time soon. Ground troops are gonna receive even more of different types of UAVs. From the micro sizeed UAVs a few inches long for covert intelligence gathering, all the way up to a large quad copters capable of delivering ammo and other supplies to exposed or soruonded troops. There was great hope from that 4 legged robot made by Boston Dynamics, I think it was named Cheetah, which had some incredible capabilities and was able to traverse heavy terrain. But eventually Pentagon decided to cut the financing seeing that the technology simply wasn’t there yet… Similar thing happened to the much hyped exosceletons which gave an average soldier incredible power and endurance.. I don’t know exactly why but those systems also didn’t make it out of the R&D departments and labs into the real world of ground combat.

A huge multirotor drone with a modular payload (cargo, transport, anti-tank, recon) is all that is needed. You ‘re welcome.

The number one priority of ANY weapons system needs to be reliability. A broken machine is as bad as a wounded soldier.

Now the elites don’t even need the loyalty of the soldiers, they can just send killbots to put down any disorder.

  35. The Architect on March 31, 2021 at 1:33 am

I listened to a podcast on the employment of the assault drones, specifically with the US and UK military’s using sensor fusion, battlefield layouts via multi sensors , enemy location , threat and weapon systems. The US Specual Forces operator was able to be involved in testing of specifically a Precision Sniper overwatch drone. He talked Abkhazia with their size, they can be airdropped his parachute. Roll off a chinook they can navigate and drive themselves into a mission. Area or go in prior finding perfect location I. A mountainside , then powers down for up to 4 weeks able to power on at anytime. , use its advanced sensor /cameras , FLir to keep an eye on targets. Charging via enhanced solar . It can be operated in A mission of assault ad a sniper by either a operator I a steel container I. Nevada or anywhere on earth thst has the operation controls . Even more amazing I’d what we will ultimately see. He talked about our sensor fusion, and how all of these advanced sensor equipped airframes and vehicles how they will play key roll and sensor mapping an entire battle area , when complete war zones and constantly bring scanned and updated by f35’s ; APC ‘s Abrams tanks AC130 hercs ? Apaches , etc with the data constantly refreshing and communicating to eCh other as well as military personnel and high ups. The advancement and shock thst he said will floor everyone when it’s experienced is the use of Artifical intelrgance For transport , operation, data acquisition. He said o e of the biggest advantages of this push we’ve. Been doing, does not require AI and a supercomputer on any AI operatted drone, The US and our allies developed some systems And sensor vehicles they essentioally can, like switchi g a pilot, it’s simply using AI to operate the vehicle remotely. Also the Us miltsries requirements for ALL combat vehicles , drones, airframes, naval equipment to be flue by wire drive by wire equipped by 2025. Which means AI or a pilot /driver anywhere could operate an Apache helicopter , the firing systemic a Hercules , painting targets and instructing an F35 20 miles out to drop a laser guided missile. Etc. or whatever is needed. A war room :operation room. And political leaders and specialists could sit in on a laptop . Set rules of engagement for the AI , list goals and priorities and seeing prompted options during a Mission to provide cover fire or actual accurate precision fire . Bow he said the biggest game changer In his eyes is how these military AI operators like an attack drone pilot that sits down and does the mission, an AI operator operates the drone vehicle for the specified mission, so maybe an overwatch and assault precision sniper AI operation. Operator assumes Control of the weapon system and using its sensors, o the drone, all other sensors in the battle space we see were AI will change everything. He explained how an SOF sniper uses his spotter or himself to take some data, Windage, distmce, tempteratuee, thr sniper sets up for his shot waits for the tight shot and takes itC reloads etc. he said. Now an AI sniper platform /operatesr in a sniper assault drone on a hillside. Uses anything ay it’s disposal like the sensors on its vehcikle; sensor equipped vehicles and jets, grand Troopes and even likely using the internet for info and takes all of its data in, and then uses a he truelu astonishing AI ability to process. Calculate math problems, physics propels and scenarios and then plug on all the data to apply to each individual shot before firing!!!! The amazing think of AI is it’s ability to calculate problems, mutli task info and amounts of data and problems in a. Fraction can decontrol then simply fires , a drone operator also will h r the ability to have all th sniper data calculated and applied to ever shot prior so the GM adjusts fire jsut before pulling the trigger. An exercise had three sniper drone fire fro over 2 miles out and with shot calculation, the sniper operator was fed the most dangerous targets in priority order based on lap fro to thr special forces on. Ground. AI targeting. Systems line up and keep the targets picked . You sit lull the trigger the. A beep and note saying forces are existing. And it flashes to outside rcovergire for them: this particular drone uses magnetic moly charged liquid to stabilize the weapon supply for increased accuracy. The AI makes hitting vehicles or aircrafy so simple. , it can then go and pick up the team or cover them carry heat and stat on watch all night as they sleep. He said special forces operations will deploy on these operations with a combat drone for their soevicfic mission. Can prefrontal to the area or with the team and marking so much more effective and are. If getting overrun , a simple command to stop egressing and assault the pursuing enemy agrrsdsivrly and the weapon will take care of exerting. He said he’s never been interested in robotics in wat but seeing the advancements now had him actually looking. Very forward to bei able to have extra suport , Bieng able to have a mission commander give it ideas , or even simply communicate to that emergency egress is needed and a sensor sensor equipped LATV can begin driven to an chosen location, or a fly by wire SOAR Littlebird could be flown o a rendezvoused point , can use a longbows sensor to watch the skiesRPsys and missiles , provide cover fire from a jet of Toce the little bird the best maneusicr to a occur being hit. He said the precision , the ease of employent of weapon systems , battlefield mapping etc is so much Forsyth beyong what we through and will make operations. ‘Row effective, safer, faster, etc. the multisensor pubs makes more sense to me now. ,

This entire style of warfare is going to become obsolete. The days of running around with a gun on a terrain and fighting over a map reference at XYZ is coming to an end. The future is psychological warfare. Winning the battle in the mind of your opponents. The bots won’t have wheels and guns. They’ll be bots that build trust and propagate lies. Bots that can eliminate funds in a bank account, take over a media station. or turn off a hyro electric plant. And this will be even more true when all carbon sourced combustion engines are replaced by electrical power cells. This video is about as relevant as watching the movie Zulu to train contemporary troops. The movie Zulu would probably be a better training movie for the future style of warfare.
