I can’t agree more about the water landing legs…I have been stupid with my first mini drone installing what looked smart. I flew over a lake taking lower and lower shoots close to water then… in a turn, the left leg hit the water and the drone flipped over into the water, of course upside down…!! Fortunately, I had a DJI care contract that covered the replacement of the drone that was completely useless, despite a careful drying. The IMU module was dead…!! So, don’t buy this accessory:):)

Where’s the vids of Turkey? The suspense is killing me😎

  3. BlairAir on July 28, 2022 at 7:45 pm

I have Pgytech hard case for Air 2, Mavic 3 and a Matching one from another brand for Evo 2.. one complaint: The smaller format Mini 3 case has no strap attachment points. When you travel heavy, a shoulder strap is really useful 👌

  4. darbuthnot99 on July 28, 2022 at 7:46 pm

Fly more kit is an absolute. I fold the lid of the bag back and then put the whole thing in my PacSafe backpack for instant organization and access to the M3P and batteries. Great video!

  5. RoMo on July 28, 2022 at 7:47 pm

Great video. I love your easy going, relatable presentation style. Smooth as silk you are. However, there is one accessory that your Mimi 3 Pro drone certainly does not need, that you overlooked. That accessory is: an impatient, selfish and careless pilot!

  6. Dartheomus on July 28, 2022 at 7:47 pm

Fair warning on those thinking about that fancy camera bag. I got one. It’s made well, and it holds quite a bit. HOWEVER, I have two issues. The first one is, OMG this bag is heavy! I don’t know what the heck DM is saying when he says this bag is lightweight. It absolutely is NOT. When it’s completely empty, it still feels like you have 2-3 lenses in it. I never take it anywhere for this reason.

Second.. I’m highly skeptical about the rubber sealing they use on all the zippers. So far, it’s been okay. However, I’ve had jackets with these kinds of rubber-sealed zippers, and within a year, the rubber dried out, cracked, and fell off leaving a very jagged edge. I’m not saying that this will happen with this bag, but I won’t be surprised. If I had it to do over again, I would pick a lighter bag. Right now, I just use this bag as my main lens storage. Then I pull out the lenses I’m going to shoot with and carry them in a separate bag.

There is one thing I don’t understand why if you get a new battery every time you have to update

  8. Tim Messenger on July 28, 2022 at 7:49 pm

Yep..I will actually use a handle bar attachment..add it to the top of my list for things to buy.. WTF- unsubbed as this is a shite as it gets.

Of all the computers in my house I doubt any can do video editing. As a matter of fact my desktop is a couple of generations behind on OS as it’s too old. How about recommendations on computing systems and video editors beyond iMovie?
    This is getting expensive.

  11. Carl Davies on July 28, 2022 at 7:51 pm

    Top notch advice.

  12. Ed Kelly on July 28, 2022 at 7:53 pm

ND filters do not get rid of reflections..Only polarizers take care of reflections.

Sgould a person be better off getting VND Filters or regular ND Filters from Freewell?

  17. HEX Investor on July 28, 2022 at 8:02 pm

People should read the reviews on that prop guard, I want for another brand and it’s perfect

  18. Choperz Adventures on July 28, 2022 at 8:02 pm

I’ve had my mini 3 for about 2 weeks now, and I’m really looking forward to my fly more combo arriving in a few days. The charger and extra batteries will be great addition. And one of my 6 different Freewell filters goes on every time before I go up now thanks to one of your previous videos, and I wanted to say thanks. The quality of my pics and videos has improved. Now I just have to learn how to put all this stuff to work. 🤣

  19. WheresWaldo on July 28, 2022 at 8:03 pm

I have a charger that supports high draw tech. I also have the Fly More Kit Plus. I tested this several times and I can attest that if you have the power available the charging hub will draw 3A @ 12 V (36W). While a 30W charger will do well a 45W charger will be faster. Both the extended battery and the 249g battery will charge at the same rate. The charger for the controller makes no difference since it is low draw (5V @ 2.8A).

Honestly it is only a 20% difference in charging rates, nothing if you are charging only one battery but a measurable time savings if all your batteries need recharging.

  20. Mike Lowe on July 28, 2022 at 8:04 pm

Enjoy your videos as always, but I will also disagree on the landing legs accessory. I am still new at flying drones so I have not mastered the hand takeoff/landing. I plan to take my drone to beach areas where the legs will minimize sand getting into the M3P. Plus, I already have the advanced batteries, so my drone is over the 250 gram limit.

  21. Ryan on July 28, 2022 at 8:04 pm

Really useful info. I just wonder, as the two filter packs you recommend are not cheap – if I were only going to buy one of the packs to get started – which of the two would you recommend?

  22. El Capitano on July 28, 2022 at 8:05 pm

Still can’t get a bloody Fly More Kit here in Australia, those that have pre ordered seem to have got closer.

    Very frustrating

Would have liked to see a review on sunshades for the new RC controller. There are at least two differing styles out in the market.

  28. Mark R White on July 28, 2022 at 8:13 pm

Actually there is somebody selling a bike mount for the new RC on eBay not sure how sturdy it is it basically attaches to the bottom where the lanyard screws are

  29. Scott Annunziata on July 28, 2022 at 8:14 pm

Great information as usual. Appreciate the priority approach to your accessory assessment.

  31. Olivier Dornez on July 28, 2022 at 8:14 pm

  32. Матвей Белявский on July 28, 2022 at 8:15 pm

The Fly More Kit is not an accessory, it’s a necessity

  33. Tyrone Clarke on July 28, 2022 at 8:15 pm

Great video thank you Darren. Too late we already purchased landing legs for our drone when it arrives from Drone Valley. Regards🇦🇺

  34. BlairAir on July 28, 2022 at 8:18 pm

MATTE SCREEN PROTECTOR for RC -not as easy to find with all the "9H Tempered Glass" -those protect, but don’t improve visibility.
    Boxwave makes an amazing one.
    * Kills 90% of glare.
    * Fingerprints won’t obscure the display.
Best productivity accessory I’ve found. Just get it. You will thank "that bear scare blaring fair guy" -I promise, lol.

  35. James Lovell on July 28, 2022 at 8:19 pm

I couldn’t disagree more with you concerning the control sticks. My marvellous Mavic Air came with extra sticks as they are easily lost. These would cost DJI a few pennies. My Mini 3 does not come with extra sticks even with the Flymore. I ordered spares from China for under £4 inc. postage. They are high quality and indistinguishable from the originals and they will get me out of trouble if ever I lose one. They arrived in 8 days. The Mini 3 bag from DJI is rubbish too. DJI are genius engineers but they have become greedy misers recently.

  36. c stoner on July 28, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Great Video! Thanks! I got my M3 July 1st, my first drone. I’m very confused about ND filters vs. polarized, etc. The two links you put up for filters look to me to be the same. Should I start out with the set of 6 ND, (which set.) plus some polarized?

  37. Gary Rendano on July 28, 2022 at 8:21 pm

i like to have the landing legs.. because i have the strobe on the bottom.. and i need extra height so the strobe on the bottom does not toudh the ground when it lands.. but yes.. i agree. I would never use those water landing things.. its just inviting a tragedy.

  38. RoMo on July 28, 2022 at 8:22 pm

It certainly would be helpful if there was some more direct way to start and stop screen recording. Something like a double tap on one of the programmable function buttons for example. The way you do it now it just a bit unwieldy and ‘hidden away’

  39. thana jeawmalee on July 28, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Do you have any ideas about sticker’s decorate on Drone? . Can effect, weight , heat, ?

  40. Vick T on July 28, 2022 at 8:26 pm

    For USA. At Harbor Freight,
The APACHE Brand 2800 Weatherproof Protective Case, Medium $40 bucks. Perfect for my MINI 3 🤙

  41. Malthe UV official on July 28, 2022 at 8:26 pm

Is DJI’s nd filters fine, or SHOULD i buy freewells?

  42. Tropical Kandi on July 28, 2022 at 8:26 pm

Lol bugger the prop cover I got a lose fitting rubber band 🤘🏽gr8 video as always my man ❤️‍🔥

  43. Peter Russell 100 on July 28, 2022 at 8:26 pm

I used to agree with you regarding the coloured sticks, until I dropped one of the originals (they are so TINY!) in fairly short rough grass. Despite a thorough search it is still there somewhere! I now use the blingy red sticks!

  44. Graham Ferguson on July 28, 2022 at 8:32 pm

My first additions were a screenn protector and a lanyard – it’s quite freeing for setting up if you can hang the controller from your neck rather than risking placing it down.

Next up – NDs. Only thing is which ones – the circular polarizer ones or the standard ones? I wonder how easy it is to get the dialled-in polarization correct pre-flight (can change a camera polariser in use).

How can an SD card not be in the top 2?

  47. DeAdly DayWalkerZz on July 28, 2022 at 8:36 pm

To the landing gear for water i have to say that actually wanning to start and land on water is simply stupid. Why would you?!

I would love to have something for emergency that in any stupid case why so ever, no matter why, that if your drone is going down over water its not instand drowning.

And therefore: I do see a use of them. Not for the purpose they are sold for but for that. And even if its only a small baggy thing that expand at water contact so the drone floats or anything, just dont drown. Even tho it would be perfekt if the drone would just land on the water so no water damage 😉

So i wouldnt say its totally stupid. But not as regular use more as a emergency device!

  48. BlairAir on July 28, 2022 at 8:36 pm

I like Sunnylife propeller holder more. It’s slimmer and covers the bottom OA Sensors as a bonus.

  49. MJ Klein on July 28, 2022 at 8:37 pm

I got the Xiaomi 120 watt charger. It has a single USB-A port and a thick cable. The lights on the battery hub blink very fast and that thing charges like a dream. I have the large version of that very same landing pad you showed. The first time I used it I was very glad it came with 3 pins to fasten it to the ground to keep the wind from blowing it away.
