That Gimbal lock reminds me of the autel Evo Gimbal Lock. I like them both. Great Video my friend

    Brilliant 👌🏻

I bought a set of 8 picnic tablecloth weights to clip onto landing pad rather than trying to stick pegs into hard ground.

Lol, running out of content ideas, reviewing old accessories.

Got to like this advice, will those accessories also work for the first gen. Mavic? I always use a landing mat, or something that will act like it (I use a large picnic table for larger airframes), I use other pegs than the ones that came with my mat, and always have a hammer on hand to make sure it can be well pegged down. If you need to use the RTH function on a drone, having a visual queue like a landing mat is a great help. I also like landing leg extensions, they can be superb at keeping the cameras away from long grass, I have them fitted to my Inspire 1 V2 and the Matrice 100 at the moment. When it comes to transport, well I go for hard cases, but I normally carry the batteries separately. But I don’t go outside the UK.

Only accessories anyone really needs is ND filters rest is just a waste just more stuff to carry around . Grab ur drone and get flying

I have and love the polarpro folding landing gear. Can’t imagine landing without them.

Camera Backpacks especially ideal if you are into tramping in out of the way scenic environments.

It’s funny the things some feel are necessary. Although I highly respect Rick’s knowledge, I wouldn’t use any of these accessories for my M2Z, but that’s me. I would highly recommend a windsurfer as a must have accessory, but some folks never get more than a half mile away. Windsurfers really work, adding more signal strength both ways, maximizing range and signal integrity, up to 5mi. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073CVQB5G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also like the PYGTECH blade holders for storage, keeping the blades from swinging around and catching on things as I tuck the drone away in my backpack. The bulk of a separate drone/RC cases and individual lipo cases are just too much hassle IMO, since I use a backpack with separate compartments for all my drone essentials. My backpack is super essential for travel and hiking, this one is inexpensive, good quality, and perfect for M2 craft. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VPE1WK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for the great reviews Rick!

  13. super Dave on August 7, 2020 at 9:01 am

Hi Rick, just wanted to say thank you for your reviews and time spent doing all that you do.
comments below criticizing what you do I find maddening. I’ve made just a few finished drone videos and the time involved is huge. I got my first mavic because of your review and have had a enjoyable time getting into the sport.
So thank you for opening a new world and cool stuff to buy with your reviews.

I got my new long landing gear today and they are great. Nice fit but ….. now the Mavic won’t fit in the custom hard case or my smaller individual hard shell (like the one in your video). It means that the front legs will have to be put in place when I fly. Not a big deal and perhaps predictable but I’m surprised that 2 of your tested accessories don’t work well with each other. Did you not have the same problem?

  15. Mitchell Peterson on August 7, 2020 at 9:03 am

Hi Rick, thx for another informative video. I have a question about my crystalsky….My cs is 8 months old and is the best thing since sliced bread but…yesterday it failed to power up. Battery is fully charged and all connecting pins are straight and intact. When I push and hold the power button I can hear a very quiet hum when I put my ear to it. Can also feel warmth on the button side of the unit. I let it sit over night w the battery disconnected….still nothing. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know what the H stands for?

  17. John Kelly on August 7, 2020 at 9:09 am

Hi Rick. Gasp just for a second I thought you were going to throw the mavic on the floor like the landing pad. 😲 Always enjoy watching your videos take care 👍.

  18. Verne Pomraning on August 7, 2020 at 9:11 am

    Gotta make an order soon!

  19. Phil Anderson on August 7, 2020 at 9:12 am

Definitely need stake it down. My hexacopter would blow the landing pad away

  20. Stan Cook on August 7, 2020 at 9:12 am

I’m old school and still flying the Mavic Pro Platinum. I am waiting for the Mavic pro 3 that will be a combo of the Pro 1 and Zoom. So as soon as we get by the Spark 2 and oh yes, the tank, we will move on the the Mavic Pro 3. It is going to be awesome.

  25. Keith Douglas on August 7, 2020 at 9:21 am

  27. Jack Montgomery on August 7, 2020 at 9:22 am

I would like to know if i have a memory card in my smart controller do i need one in my mavic 2 zoom drone ?

  28. Ian Jones on August 7, 2020 at 9:23 am

Great vid Rick. I would add the new lume strobe to the list. Yes I know it’s overpriced, but now I have it I use it every time I fly day or night.
I have actually used a PGYTECH clip on Mavic 2 mount, by removing the screw and attaching the Velcro to that and mounting, that way I’m not left with Velcro permanently stuck to the body of drone 👍

  29. Bob Smith on August 7, 2020 at 9:27 am

I just bought the folding landing gear and the battery protection. I already have the separate cases including one for the smart controller. Keep bringing the products to our attention. Thanks
