Top 10 Combat Drones in the World 2021

An unmanned combat aerial vehicle is also known as a combat drone or battlefield UAV is an unmanned aerial vehicle that is used for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance and may carry aircraft ordnance such as missiles, ATGMs, and bombs in hardpoints to be used for drone strikes.

Nowadays, military drones are taking over the skies. Forget fighter jets and stealth bombers, decommission ground attack aircraft, and with a gentle touch of a command console and switch to autonomous mode. We need as little interference from squishy human beings as possible because unmanned aerial vehicles are where the future of aerial warfare is. Many nations have adopted one or another form of UAV for surveillance and communication, and a number of them wield drones that can actually fight. Be it using air-to-ground missiles, laser-guided bombs or even experimental air-to-air capability, most of today’s aerial missions can be performed by drones. Not all combat drones are created equal, though. Some of them are just enhanced versions of surveillance UAVs, while others were built to be almost as capable as the most advanced jet fighters.

The criteria to compare them are the same, though. On this occasion, we want to select the most effective, the most capable and the most combat-ready of them all. With this in mind, let’s check it out.

What is up with the data conflicts from this channel? The Grumman X-47 @ 8:34 states a cruise speed of Mach 0.9+. Then @ 9:45, it is stated to be Mach 0.45.

  13. Xavier Dufay on May 19, 2022 at 6:55 pm

To be very clear on the Barracuda, EADS is the french AIRBUS Military and Space – CASIDIAN. German and spain Casidian are subsidiaries of Airbus for Airbus.
Also in Drone, there is the NEURON from DASSAULT (+engine SAFRAN SNECMA M88 from the Rafale).

    I didn’t see much that a DJI Mini 2 can’t do for $419. It’s too bad these are Chinese-made.

  24. Matthew Fairley on May 19, 2022 at 7:06 pm

    It’s a vehicle not a veeeh-hikkle.
The problem with the German drone is it keeps flying to London then crashing into the city.

Philippines has Alpha Kukak drone proven and tested against Islamic rebels here, with a speed of Mach 2. The version 2 is purely Electronic Warfare drone.

Another drone is Paro Paro G!.. It’s armed with hypersonic missiles. It’s can carry 1 long range hypersonic missile mach 16 and 4 short range hypersonic missile mach 12.

Wouldn’t it be brilliant if we did not need any weapons to kill each other.

some of the top 10 models in this video are unproven paper designs OR have never have seen combat. More relevant would be models with successful combat role deployment and the associate cost range per unit. Maybe just do a video on just one model with a history of successful combat role deployment and the associated cost per unit and per deployment… defense system that are not well understood or that lack the experts to use them are pretty useless. For example, while Great Britain successfully deployed RADAR in WWII from the start, the USA fumbled around with RADAR at the beginning of WWII. While the USA fumbled around with Machine guns in the US civil war, Great Britain used the Machine Gun with great efficacy in Africa before WWI. New weapon defense system need an experienced/well train military that knows how to best use them to make them valuable

Drones are the future of aviation. By installing a computer instead of a pilot the jet is lighter and slimmer, which reduces drag.
Also when they get shot down the enemy don’t get your pilot — just your computer. What good is that gonna do them? How can you get information from a captured computer? I can’t even get my VCR to stop blinking 12:00.
The F-22 Raptor can kill Migs, Sukhois, dragons, flying saucers — anything that flies without our permission.
The Russians cannot make anything like it so they attack Ukraine with rocks, Mig-21s and crossbowmen. Of those 3 the crossbowmen should do the most damage.
To whom it may concern, these are my favorite art books:
    – Icon by Frank Frazetta
    – Infinite Worlds by Vincent DiFate
    – Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

BAYRAKTAR TB2 is the best. Ukrainian army destroys Russian tanks and troops with only 12 drone. This is insane!

I like the idea of unmaned escort drones, all remote controlled or A.I assisted. "Iron man" (part 2) type of weaponry. All disposable and quick to replace on a combat setting, one-man remote controlled. No human casualties, all materials.

  43. Arnav Shukla on May 19, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Why is Bayraktar TB2 not in the list ?
Bayraktar TB2 hit more targets than any of the UAVs you shared here. We are talking about hitting more targets than 10 UAVs combined, not one by one. Field feedback, not technical analysis, tells the truth.

  48. Patrick Ganly on May 19, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Wow! Its a freakin 195k drone!! I got one from Alibaba for $100. It works great!!

I had a friend in (mandatory) military service, an engineer who worked in TAI. He was part of the testing crew of new missiles and he would remove stuck missiles by hand (he said it was stressful). What he said about Aksungur drones was:

"They are replicas. Israeli replicas. Our Ankas are mq-9 reaper replicas. And Aksungur is basically just two Ankas attached from sides. Thus, it is our IAI Heron replica. Is it good though? It is. It is better than Anka. And the thing is, it is very easy to make. An upgrade in technology that is just easy. The designs are not genuine, but the work of our engineers is good. What we produce is good quality. They are filled with our indigenous systems."
