This Gun Drone Could Replace Army Soldiers

A weaponized drone that was designed for the military and can carry and fire guns.

The TIKAD, a 110-pound unmanned aerial vehicle, has a breakthrough that backyard hobbyists have yet to match. The drone, developed by Florida-based Duke Robotics, can aim and fire, using a robotic stabilizer that absorbs the recoil of its mounted gun. The stabilizer provides the drone with increased accuracy while allowing it to quickly set up for the next shot.

If deployed, it could allow soldiers to engage the enemy, while reducing risk.

Gimme an over under 12 gauge and some bird shot and I’ll take that sucker down in a heartbeat they should make smaller faster drones with a built in .22 lr machine gun instead and always stay moving a whole bunch doing strafing runs would be very effective

  2. Anti-nuclear Coalition on August 13, 2020 at 10:05 am

Notice the phrase "reducing the risk" applies only to the "drivers" of these machines!

It wont replace them; they have to fly it

  6. JoeDoe_ Outdoors on August 13, 2020 at 10:13 am

Hey sweet page ☺ Keep it up!

  7. Willi Vinter on August 13, 2020 at 10:13 am

such an easy target for a shotgun.

  8. INturbalent Tj on August 13, 2020 at 10:13 am

This is stupid why they arm such a big gun on there when they could’ve just redesign it smaller with a larger ammunition

  9. bob saget on August 13, 2020 at 10:14 am

the shock absorbing system is added weight, and the overall design is inefficient. Best to fire lots of guided munitions for better accuracy.

  10. Tony D on August 13, 2020 at 10:17 am

It’s cool but no, it cannot replace the Infantry….Nothing can.

  11. Billy Severt on August 13, 2020 at 10:17 am

still not very practical… still essentially a fixed gun that requires hovering in front of a target….

best idea would be to mount gun on a gimbal with object tracking… then it could fly by or over a target without stopping…

  12. ASEC Mimosas on August 13, 2020 at 10:18 am

No worries, Israel has already acquired some and will be able to test the tech for us.

There is so many issues with this concept. So it’s fake right?

  14. absolute random on August 13, 2020 at 10:20 am

    That’s cool

  15. Jay K on August 13, 2020 at 10:20 am

If there is no human operator why not expel gases from the rear to minimize recoil it may increase costs but it may support large ammo

  16. Krishnan Sivadas on August 13, 2020 at 10:20 am

But wait what about EMP weapons?

*I BET THESE WERE USED IN VEGAS, OR SUMTHN SIMILAR!!!*

  22. MrCrazy-R on August 13, 2020 at 10:31 am

if this replace soldiers we are al dead, they just have to shoot te drone down and get the weapons

  23. Joe Leek on August 13, 2020 at 10:32 am

Killing people is already too impersonal. I would rather we ditch the drone program altogether. If you want to kill people, but risking your own side’s lives isn’t acceptable, you shouldn’t be killing those people.

  24. Phexism on August 13, 2020 at 10:33 am

would be perfect for a north korean war.

  25. Gandolf on August 13, 2020 at 10:34 am

Um you still need people on the ground to fly the drone and find the targets. So the title is technically click bait

  26. xmeda on August 13, 2020 at 10:34 am

Large and heavy = easy to detect & destroy. Attached AR-15 only has one magazine and limited capabilities. What is the battery life and range with that payload? 10min?

Maybe usable to terrorize some unarmed dumbs.. nothing else.

Vocativ is anti-second amendment. Don’t watch their videos.

  33. McKaylee White on August 13, 2020 at 10:43 am

    we should sstill use soldiers

  34. Jamille Mohammed on August 13, 2020 at 10:44 am

Just imagine the wrong people get these machines

  35. Brandon Mondragon on August 13, 2020 at 10:44 am

This is a stupid idea i was thinking more like we implement a gun into the drone not have a drone carry the gun fucking idiots. It would have a nosle that can move around and a heat sensor with targeting systems or manned to shoot people

  36. Sam Tech on August 13, 2020 at 10:45 am

I can make it, if material is provided.

  37. u235u235u235 on August 13, 2020 at 10:52 am

    stupid product.

if you are afraid to get in that close to kill someone, just blow up the entire building.

drones are very loud and will not be sneaking up on anyone. easily shot down?

make the drone able to move around and accurately kill shot fire at the same time once the target painted from 1,000 ft away. then the drone might have a chance. but it’s just too loud.

  38. حارث يزن Hareth on August 13, 2020 at 10:52 am

    Its a matter of cost

  39. Mr Gunslinger on August 13, 2020 at 10:52 am

Imagine all those Chinese factories producing your laptops, phones, gadgets by the millions per day, starts to produce drones like this. God save us.

  40. frederikvr on August 13, 2020 at 10:53 am

where can I buy it? 😛

  41. David Homan on August 13, 2020 at 10:56 am

Why the style? Why the music? Show it killing people if it’s going to be used to kill people, I thought we lived in a post-pc society…

  42. Krishnan Sivadas on August 13, 2020 at 10:57 am

    Game changer indeed

  43. Todd Willis on August 13, 2020 at 10:58 am

Add an LED sniper scope, better recoil absorbers and rockets for quick deployment and you have the ultimate assassin.

  44. Damon Blade on August 13, 2020 at 10:58 am

The rise of the machines has begun. Anyone remember the hunter killers ?

  45. Loli4lyf on August 13, 2020 at 10:59 am

Should’ve strap some grenades and drop them on enemies
