The UK's Most Powerful drone MQ-9 in Action

@BritishArmy #MQ9B, is loading #PavewayIV laser-guided #bombs and #Brimstone missiles being on the ground-based vibration tests.
#Britain will load these weapons for the first time on the MQ9 drone.
Brimstone missile is also used against vessels and motorboats.

The aircraft will use enhanced data links, and carry next-generation, low-collateral, precision strike weapons – the UK-made Brimstone missile (MBDA), and Paveway IV Laser Guided Bomb (Raytheon UK). The fleet will also have advanced anti-icing and lightning protection, providing the RAF with unprecedented flexibility to operate in adverse weather conditions. The first aircraft delivery to the RAF will be in 2023.

    Why so long for delivery the air frame should be easy to build and all electronics are there all ready missiles have been tested in combat so why so long and the cost seems too steep and why aren’t we building our own in Britain.If turkey can build them cheaply why are we not doing the same.We don’t need to use American equipment all the time.Me as tax payer feels like am being ripped off here.
