The truth about recreational drones and bombs

The truth about recreational drones and bombs

Can a recreational drone or RC plane be used for bad things? The answer is here but it may not be the answer you were expecting.

A drone without a bomb is just a drone but a bomb without a drone is still a bomb. Forget tougher regulations for drones, if you’re worried about the risk of drones dropping bombs then lobby for tougher restrictions on explosives.

Great video pointing out the real issues.
    Thank you.

You’re forgetting the rights of the general public in the USA for people to have access to weapons with little regulation. Obviously that can’t regulate weapons because rights, therefore must regulate the dangerous drones!
I know. Makes no sense to me either.
The problem is that other countries (I’m in Australia) just follow along because bureaucrats need a project that will require a team they can manage to move up the corporate ladder and this becomes a perfect excuse.

It’s just common sense Bruce. Something that sadly seems to have been either bred out of us these days or taught out of us. Common sense is something that is not learnt from books and is certainly not seen in politicians any more.
Keep up the good work Bruce.

You do realize that restricting any firearms or explosives is a violation of the second admin mint of the United States Constitution correct? The second amendment is a fundamental law that grants the American people to have access to the same weapons that the military has access to in the event that the civilian population has no choice but to overthrow an oppresive government. Granted the United States government has enacted laws banning certain weapons to be legally and lawfully owned by the civilian population those laws are against the supreme law of the land the United States constitution.

is this your new channel? inhave missed so many of your videos 😭

  9. GraphicUnlimited on April 19, 2022 at 6:10 pm

the "video" of a drone dropping bombs is from a video game. It’s not real. The only people successfully arming drones right now is the military, and those are a lot larger than our hobby drones.

  10. Gary Gasser on April 19, 2022 at 6:10 pm

The FAA has NASA in evolved in the drone controversy now.

  11. Nick Sebring on April 19, 2022 at 6:11 pm

I think we need Remote ID in Cars/Trucks/Scooters. More likely to deliver a lethal dose than my 5" recreational "built it myself" hobby drone!

  12. Maddmavic on April 19, 2022 at 6:12 pm

Can drop a bomb with a balloon and a pellet gun lol

  13. Magic Smoke mit Lothar on April 19, 2022 at 6:14 pm

Share this vid!! Blow this Video up!!! And write to the FAA

  14. Old Gray Cowboy on April 19, 2022 at 6:14 pm

Almost worse than the bombs are the polititians creating these silly laws for our safety.

My stepson gave me a stunt kite today.
I was thinking about that and this and was thinking about this video.
People always had ways to be stupid, this is just convince for them. They won’t care about regulations if they attach anything like this regardless of the type of delivery system they use.
Sorry. But you can’t Nurf the planet.

Perfectly explained so even the Karens will understand it.
Now what am I going to do with all this C4? 🤔

Corner shops in the UK are all out of TNT

  20. sasa sasa on April 19, 2022 at 6:22 pm

Well, drone attack on Saudi refinery happened just couple of days after this video 🙂
In early stages of Ukraine conflict recreational drones were adapted to military use very fast, both fixed wings and DJI Phantoms. It was mostly reconnaissance but in several cases Phantoms were configured to drop a grenade – grenade is rammed into glass so lever is pressed, pin is removed and whole contraption is attached to a remote-controlled hook. When dropped, glass shatters on the ground, lever is released and grenade goes boom.
Inefficient, limited range, risky for the operator but still is the simplest way to weaponize the drone in the area where it is easy to find live grenade.

Dogs can carry bombs / cats to a Rc car can carry a bomb my grandmother coud carry one t and im realy realy shure politicans maybe coud this 2 but maybee they need someone to tell them how to…. i demand banning all the posible options to carry explosives …. 😉 especial the last one …..

The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a drone is a good guy with a drone.

By this logic – BAN ALL SCAFFOLDING PIPE!!!!

  26. Simmons Lack on April 19, 2022 at 6:29 pm

This is a stupid video. You don’t drop C4 and expect an explosion. Get your facts right.

  27. Capistrano Gardener on April 19, 2022 at 6:30 pm

I agree…You didn’t see regulators impose restrictions on cars when they were used to deliver bombs. And those (car bombs) did a lot more damage.

  28. Tyson Glore on April 19, 2022 at 6:30 pm

You could put a bomb on a RC plane just as easy and like you say the real problem is the bomb

  29. Neville frking Bartos on April 19, 2022 at 6:30 pm

You could just drop it out of a light plane

  30. James Turncliff on April 19, 2022 at 6:34 pm

Did you hear the explosion of the Tonga volcano and feel the tremors

  31. Paul Sharpe on April 19, 2022 at 6:37 pm

All terrorist register there weapons don’t they so they can get them back

  32. Stan Senter on April 19, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Humph…the same could be said of firearms….
Drones/guns are baaaaddd! It’s not the fault of the person controling the drone/gun, but it’s the drone/gun, regulate/ban drones/guns…

  33. RP Bishop on April 19, 2022 at 6:39 pm

Next to cell phones, drones are the biggest threat to the last privacy of world citizens. The government doesn’t protect the use of drones on behalf of hobbyists, they do it to secure their rights of passage, and to think that drones can only inflict damage via explosives, is pure ignorance on your part as well as those of others. Although you do make a good point, I’m afraid you’re wasting your breath. The rights to deliver personalized packaged goods by means of commercial drones, has long been approved. The only thing that hasn’t, is vectoring and routing approval. Your ( right of way) will dwindle, if not disappear all together at this point.

( One morning you open your screen door only to find out, that in doing so you took out a federally operated drone. Without even realizing it, you’ve broken several federal laws and you haven’t even had your breakfast yet ).

This is all just my opinion of course, as is a saying that came to me many years ago: “Anything that man thinks or writes about, will be, if not already has been, (done)”.

  34. GigaHurtz on April 19, 2022 at 6:40 pm

We should ban cars because people can pack them with explosives.

In the active volcano on the island of "La Palma", the scientists found a drone flying toward the volcano, they thought that was one of the rescue teams, so they share the information, and the police said to them that was not one of their drones, that they saw the same drone going to the volcano and come back and thought that was one of their drones… The reality was, some of the inhabitants of the island used that drone to carry explosives to the volcano eruption to stop it…
The problem is explosive, but at least the high yield explosives are used only in the army…
I said the same like you always, but we don’t have media coverage to reach all the people.

Sorry lawmakers are not capable of understanding this. Along with the people who want this regulation. 😊

  39. drone racer on April 19, 2022 at 6:46 pm

Bruce have you seen the Trevor Jacob controversy, he’s been accused of deliberately crashing his manned aircraft by parachuting out for You Tube views, and pretending it was an emergency.

  40. David Morgan on April 19, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Where will it end Bruce! If they ban drones, then they will have to ban cars, backpacks, suitcases, kid’s skateboards, you name it, as I said. where will it all end!!!!

  41. vanepico on April 19, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Brilliant idea Bruce, this was just what we needed, snappy videos countering one topic, like an FAQ section. And the general public are not likely to want to pay attention for more than 6 minutes on something that doesn’t directly affect them. We all need to get on the same page if we are going to be strong!

  42. Paul Rhoden on April 19, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Where did you get your C4 from?? 😂

in the US they should start by disarming the people, people are a threat to each other.
committing crimes is also legally prohibited and what?…… you can have a gun, but drones are forbidden? USA USA USA;)
