The DJI Mavic Pro 2 Drone is now POINTLESS!

The DJI Mavic Pro 2 Drone is now POINTLESS!

With the recent legislation released in the UK in December 2020 flying the DJI Mavic 2 Pro is now limited to the A3 Section unless you take the A2 CofC Course! What does this mean, well unless I pay for a training day I can only fly way out in the country side far from everyone and everything, boring!

In this video I talk more about this, have a little rant and introduce my new drone which gets over all these limitations, the Mavic Mini 2!!

This is what i went for –

The Evolve 2 heavy tank drone. Some time ago they figured out you can make a drone from waste materials, because if it crashes it doesn’t cost you much, as long as the motors and board are spaced correctly the body doesn’t matter lol, physics. The same drone with Obstacle Avoidance is usually about $400 more then same drone without OA. WHY on earth would you waste that or more money making a hard body instead of an intelligent drone for that money, this drone is a big big mistake. All that just for a hard body and a camera 4k 120 is not even close to being worth it and a primitive drone. I just got an Evo 2 pro, it is an amazing drone, please don’t spend money on this tank and just get you one of those. I’m not sure if you’ve ever had a drone drop from just 30 meters, but whether its ABS plastic or titanium your drone is cake, especially if that heavy lol, more physics. ABS plastic is more then good enough for a drone to hold it together good. Evo 2 pro is a landmark in compact drone technology and its important to recognize that. They try to compare it to the Mavic 2 pro, it beats it in at least 3 of the following things. The Mavic 2 pro only records 4k at 30 fps, the flight time is less, and the tracking is not even close to that of EVO 2. They sell these other drones for like $3000 just because they track you around and land in your hand, but only have a range of like a few 100 meters, that’s terrible, and if you look the Evo 2 tracking is almost as good. As soon as I find time here I will start my own channel where I give you an unbiased opinion about all the drones, instead of trying to compare a superior EVO 2 to things like primitive Mavic air to make DJI look good. First free tip of the day: If you wanna fly in sub zero degree or very cold weather, figure out how many air vent slits you need to tape off on your drone to keep that bugger warm lol, :-).

If it has a specification and features that others don’t have which it patently does, then by definition it cannot be pointless.

  3. itsYaBoijake on December 9, 2021 at 11:33 am

Love the vid mate keep it up😌

  4. Battle Fights on December 9, 2021 at 11:37 am

The drone is very good quality to film still

  5. coaldust on December 9, 2021 at 11:39 am

If your being sensible with it, the odds of getting any hassle is extremely low, I understand you want to be above board though, I have a mini 2 myself, But with our usual shite weather here in the UK I’ve hardly been able to use it, hopefully get some use come summer.

  6. Chris Wright on December 9, 2021 at 11:40 am

That’s exactly what i am going to do…. I still have my original Mavic Pro… Have a look at joining the BMFA, they have special concessions

  7. Slavi Stoyanov on December 9, 2021 at 11:42 am

Sad days for drone pilots in the UK. My Mavic Pro is sitting in a bag being sad … I’m sad too.
Good luck with the new toy. I might consider getting one as well!
    Post footage when you can.
    Great vid.

  8. Sean Bird on December 9, 2021 at 11:42 am

  9. Matticulous Media on December 9, 2021 at 11:42 am

Bought a mini 2, went and filmed a wedding in the mountains in BC..
BRAND NEW out the box, updated fully, got it up in the air….
The wind took it and brought it to its new home…

  10. Jack Evans on December 9, 2021 at 11:44 am

Move to New Zealand mate. I fly anywhere I like. Bugger all Covid 19 here too.

  11. Pony Sixfinger on December 9, 2021 at 11:44 am

so take the course? its only £99 definitely worth it

  12. Olivier on December 9, 2021 at 11:47 am

Why does this guy not have 100K subs yet?

  13. Jason Donavich on December 9, 2021 at 11:48 am

The A2 cofc is only £59 pound right now so not really a reason to sell your drone. most of these rules aren’t even enforced unless you are making a fortune. its all propaganda tbh

  14. Neil Oultram on December 9, 2021 at 11:48 am

wtf cant believe just i watched that crap

    bad info

  19. Battle Fights on December 9, 2021 at 12:00 pm

The real reason is because your limited range of flying the drone because I’m thinking of buying this drone very soon or should I buy a different dji drone

  20. Aayush Shrestha on December 9, 2021 at 12:06 pm

You can mail it to me if you don’t want it. Thanks

  21. Stuart & Vicky on December 9, 2021 at 12:06 pm

Thumbs up 👍🏻 sold my drone end last year 😢 and I’m missing it already… can’t wait for the unboxing.

  22. AL RESTIVO on December 9, 2021 at 12:07 pm

I live in Canada and I sold all three of my DJI Phantom drones two years ago for the same reason , I have only sub 250 gram drones now. DJI would be wise to expand the sub 250 gram drone line up. I would love to buy a 250 gram mavic 2 pro.

  23. Battle Fights on December 9, 2021 at 12:09 pm

Sucks bro damn you selling your best drone

  24. dujonn mark on December 9, 2021 at 12:09 pm

    Cellmate: What you in for?
    Me: Flying a drone
    Cellmate: Terrorist?
Me: It was my brother’s wedding mate

  25. Jordan White Reece’s dad on December 9, 2021 at 12:12 pm

So …. doing some research (as I really, really, REALLY want the Mavic Pro 2), it seems that the Mavic Pro 2 is CE marked ready, so all things being well and the talks that DJI are in, everything should be gravy. Even those that aren’t stamped / bought today should be ok (they hope!) …. I’m still going to buy one 👍😂

  26. Matticulous Media on December 9, 2021 at 12:12 pm

They just wanted us to accumulate all the data for them!
The whole world is a conspiracy at this point… LMFAO

  27. drug2 on December 9, 2021 at 12:12 pm

Still one of the best drones. would it always prefer instead of an Air2s.
Cant comapre it with a MAvic 3 beauces that thing is way to expensive.

  28. OXIDE FPV on December 9, 2021 at 12:17 pm

Get your self some training many apply for your permissions and all you will have to do is change the case when they eventually get round to releasing the ce marked version

  29. Jay Griff on December 9, 2021 at 12:18 pm

I did my PfCO in Dec 2020 & feel I was ripped off. Done the A2CofC & nearly done my GVC. I only have the MA2 & Parrot Anafi for now, I fancy the P4P & M2P but it seems like wasting my money. Plus the weather in Lancashire I hardly get any flights…

  30. Berryman81 on December 9, 2021 at 12:18 pm

Didn’t you crash your last drone into a tree tho?

  31. Ingemar Kroiss on December 9, 2021 at 12:23 pm

Nothing new and not so bad. Too much idiots were flying around everywhere already and sadly

  32. Shawn Lavigne on December 9, 2021 at 12:25 pm

Drones are gonna be just like guns. Governments will want to ban them. Both give an individual too much power. Guns to kill, drones to give knowledge about your immediate environment.

  33. Alex-Norway -68 on December 9, 2021 at 12:29 pm

Its A3 the 1st of January 2023! Then you install Id remote and then your drone is back to A2!
