  12. Willy Pete on July 29, 2020 at 8:28 am

just pass regulations that you have to get a pilot slicense to fly a drone be over 21 and pass a yearly test in order to own one legally! Also make it illegal to mount a weapon of any kind on a drone unless you pass background check and pay 100k dollar per permit to do so!

  13. Chris R on July 29, 2020 at 8:28 am

Why is the FAA investigating whether or not this kid broke any of their rules? Seriously? This kid did this on his own property harming nobody simply as a demonstration that it can be done. Give this kid a scholarship for an engineering degree or two and a job designing drones for the military when he gets done with it. What are you bending over backwards to try and send him to jail for?

You ought to be thanking him, cause apparently even though anybody with half a brain ought to have known it was just a matter of time until civilians were able to do something like this, ita apparently news to you, and your only conceivable response is to try and make an example out of the kid so nobody ever decides to try it again… bad plan, somebody will try it again, and the kid is probably going to be a valuable asset in the future for keeping military and police hardware up to par with it, or even in reverse engineering and doing forensics work on future civilian weaponized drones, but no, you want him it jail I stead of on your pay roll… again, bad plan. Get off your high horse, and start trying to be sensible alright? The kid probably already dismantled the drone so he could use it in another project anyway.

Normal people see a crazy lunatic teenager while I see an innovative engineer whose trying to progress in the world~ Really hope someone hired this kid as an engineer, but more than likely no one did or will. I bet ya’ll in the future, drones with guns will be a norm, but this kid will get no credibility for making the first one possibly… People these days are so scared of the most stupidest shit.

  27. Cezariusus on July 29, 2020 at 8:41 am

The FAA investigating whether he broke any law. For short: they don’t like it and are looking for a way to hurt that kid.

  28. ClutchKarma2 on July 29, 2020 at 8:42 am

"Using a drone as a weapon is not a useful purpose" I (and the US goverment) beg to differ

  29. Introverto 83 on July 29, 2020 at 8:44 am

Sad to say but the US government made it first.

  30. hardow on July 29, 2020 at 8:44 am

Mastermind behind this – yeah sure only a mastermind can attach a trigger system to a drone… would a flying kinderegg be illegal too?

  31. person on July 29, 2020 at 8:45 am

this guy would be really good as a field technician in the military if he can build something like that. the government does use drones with hellfires but if soldiers cant get their hands on one this will be a nice alternative.

  32. Abe Kil on July 29, 2020 at 8:45 am

    shits bad ass

  33. No One Of Consequence on July 29, 2020 at 8:46 am

Well, damn. That’s a loophole that the government wants to close desperatly, isn’t it? Next we’ll have drone control, because we can’t have anything of our own without their permission. Ever.

  34. Jim Jones on July 29, 2020 at 8:47 am

i doubt this guy had any intention to use the drone for criminal activity. thats assuming that the drone is even capable of being used. not practical. government should have left him alone.

  44. Rafael Reyes on July 29, 2020 at 8:59 am

I’m going to make a few in case racist trash tries anything with me, they’ll never see them coming. By then the government would have fallen and guns will be the deciding factor in what happens to you. I implore everyone to arm themselves just in case. Better safe than sorry.

  45. chem dog on July 29, 2020 at 9:00 am

Seriously! dont record criminal activity. It goes viral, people will point fingers, you will go jail over something people feared or imagine you might do. No freedom in this country, the government keep us as sheep 🐑 if anything give him a job weaponizing drones. 🤣

Reality check: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The barrel is firing — true — but no projectile is exiting, else an equal "weight x speed" would have to be ejected out the back end.

  49. authorization batman on July 29, 2020 at 9:05 am

Drone handles the recoil pretty well.

  50. wildernessshouter on July 29, 2020 at 9:05 am

I think everyone in this video; except the kid that built the drone, are card carrying Nazis. Just a bunch of flat earthers upset that someone did or said something outside THEIR perceived idea of what the world should be. If these people where around when the Wright Brothers flew they would be screaming their heads off about how unsafe it was, and wanting to burn their plane. CNN is fake news!
