Registering your Drone! An FAA Requirement – Read comments for important update!

This video will show you how to register your drone for Part 107 flying or for Recreational flying, both are required by the FAA to legally fly your drone.

There is an update to FAA Rules for recreational flying, and a new drone video will soon be available to explain the requirement to pass the TRUST Safety test for recreational flyers. This is a NEW and required element in addition to registering your drone, so watch for the video to be released soon!

Back in the beginning of the RC flying hobby, you stick built a model airplane, installed your radio gear and most always if you gave it a go by yourself you turned your many hours of work onto a ball of balsa wood splinters. At that point many simply gave up on the hobby. The ones who carried on, crashed a few more planes and finally got good at flying were the serious ones in this hobby. As you know this has all changed. Now anyone with zero RC experience can fly a drone. This has led to a lot of stupid people doing a lot of stupid things with these drones and unfortunately that has caused the need for the FAA to step in and now regulate this hobby. As I have said from the beginning of this drone thing it’s only going to take one bad person that is looking to do harm to others with a drone in this country to end this hobby rather quickly.
My advice is to think about the future of this hobby and spend your hard earned money accordingly.

A very informative video Paul! 🙂 And I can easily imagine the number of people who are going to royally screw things up for themselves and everyone else…
