    The problem with the FAA air space system, LAANC is that many airports are not set up yet in the system and the system is only able to be used by pilots with a Part 107 certification number. Hobby pilots are locked out of the system until sometime in the next few weeks or months when the FAA updates the system. Still, there are several airports, mostly smaller Class D airports where the LAANC system won’t give authorizations to anyone yet. You use an app to access the system, submit your request and wait for it to pop up approved or not . But if the airport is not set up yet then you won’t get an approval on the app.
