★ How I Got Started
Hi, I’m Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.

After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn’t have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me to travel to more places and experience more in life.

Can you show us how you make lily’s food, please, I am actually trying to transition my older dog to real/human food.

  9. Robert Polkamp on August 17, 2020 at 10:19 am

My son and I did Florida Alaska and back in 6 weeks, 12.200 miles, wouldn’t have missed it for the world. If you could have shared the driving duties perhaps the ride to Alaska wouldn’t have been cheaper but could be more enjoyable. You said do-do… 😏

  10. Rhoda Perron on August 17, 2020 at 10:20 am

I would never drive up there as a solo person. I went to northern yukon (Dawson city) in 2007 from Vancouver area with 3 couples. Too much travel (road time) for our two week trip. People should take alot longer. We only went into stewart Alaska to see two glaciers bear and salmon. And yes it rained t he whole time. Lots of beauty and I’m glad I went. I have 200 photos so I can reminisce any time! glad to hear what you liked best. Cheers.

  11. Star Light on August 17, 2020 at 10:22 am

I lived in Alaska for 20 yrs…nearly EVERY yr their are major forest fires., yep everything is VERY expensive. living there, you can get used to all of it. Some people go all that way and never see any wildlife or even the "great mountain" (it has its own weather system.) and don’t forget the the flying blood sucking swarms……..yes its beautiful,, I home based in Fairbanks. traveled and lived all over. agree Valdez is so pretty. and Homer I lived there but to vacation , not so much- very crowded/expensive. Super fun hearing your story…I enjoy following you on your adventures. I should be on the road by fall 2021…PS love the red hair you look really great in red…..

  12. Pts Slm on August 17, 2020 at 10:22 am

Seeing that giant spider has reinforced the fact that I wont go south I’ll have to stay in an middle state but not tornado alley either‼️👍🇺🇸
Learn so much as to what style of travel one would take according to their likes and dislikes. 👍🇺🇸 Thank you 😊

  13. Nancy Barnes on August 17, 2020 at 10:23 am

What kind of screen and where did you get it , for your van sliding door

  14. Pts Slm on August 17, 2020 at 10:27 am

My reaction to what you think of Alaska is; What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger! My experience made me think about it also. 👍🇺🇸🙃🥺
I really like that new hair color your sporting. Do you see very many of those giant spiders? Can you keep them out of your RV and would a spider like that hurt your dog? 👍🇺🇸

Ps. Mosquitoes and smoke from fires!!!!!! Sorry it was so rotten. I’ve visited the NWT, as I have a sister there. Bugs can wreck your trip.
Ps. Good luck with your healthy lifestyle!!!!!

One final thing. I know it can be a downer with weight gain. Been there done that. I have lost enough to look ok for my height. Im 6’3. Ballooned up to 285. It caused a lot of issues. Your attacking the issue with a positive attitude and thats a win. I know its my opinion but watching you on your videos I see avery pretty lady that has a lot of confidence.

what is that screen you got?

  25. Sue Hull on August 17, 2020 at 10:45 am

You could drive to Bellingham, WA and take a ferry up to Alaska. You can get off in Haines, then drive up in the interior. It is another option, and ferry travel is quite nice.

  26. Sue B. on August 17, 2020 at 10:47 am

Great video! From a very self conscious person, thank you for your courage in sharing your path to better health. Your beautiful!! Your inspirational!! Your strong!!😁

Amber, wonderful video!!! Love your refreshing candor about yourself and your situation!!! I think you should consider leading a trip for solo female travelers and document it on your channel. Glad Lilly is feeling better, she is a sweetie. Safe travels…

Are you traveling much ground ?

  38. S V on August 17, 2020 at 10:58 am

Wow! You should be so proud of yourself learning yoga. I always say to myself in a self conscious situation “ These people are strangers and I’ll never see them again. So I don’t care what they think” .
I follow a lot of different people on utube and they all say what you say. There’s a lot of cruel people that write comments on utube. I sure hope you block them. I think you are a beautiful girl with or without a few extra pounds. You will get there again. 🙂

  39. CeNedra Lea Heldra on August 17, 2020 at 11:00 am

Say What The. Forest fires in Alaska.. Wow poor Australia is on fire at the moment. If it is not hard enough to be so dry hot and in drought now we have fires.Believe in yourself. You are You. No one else can be you. Love your self. I am proud of you. Your blessed being able to work on the road and travel.

  40. Ronald C on August 17, 2020 at 11:01 am

Enjoyed the Alaska video. The bullying is unfortunate. Stay the course on getting fitter.

  41. Amy Taylor on August 17, 2020 at 11:01 am

You look great. Love the yoga cards. Very inspirational. Thank you.

  42. tom malich on August 17, 2020 at 11:01 am

I admire what you accomplished. I stay in a class A and really would be nervous taking it up to Alaska. But you did it. Yeah its a lot of miles but its something you will never forget. On the coffee deal you lost me when you came to the mushrooms. Enjoy New Mexico. Beautiful state. You look very pretty. Well you always do. But you tackled going to Alaska on your own. To be honest I think that is something. I know others who have talked about making that run but never do. It takes guts.

  43. Web Browne on August 17, 2020 at 11:02 am

Love your videos🙂 please don’t worry about what other people think. You and only you can determine if your body needs adjusted and the step required to accomplish that. I am a guy that cares more about what is between your ears than anything else. I believe you have a great brain, so keep it up!

  44. Roads of Life on August 17, 2020 at 11:03 am

Would love to see how you make Lily’s food!
I’m not a big Alaska person myself, but did love living through your eyes. I also follow Van Trekking Lifestyle and they loved their trip to Alaska. I think it all depends on your circumstances, as you say.
Also… you are one fantastic person… inside outside and all points between! Never change!
    Be seeing you!

  45. RV Boondocker on August 17, 2020 at 11:03 am

I don’t agree at all. Been to AK six times but flew. Having my class B since means it is the same bed every night, my own stuff, etc. that’s why I bought one! Clearly a first world issue. You didn’t do your homework, I hate to tell you, and didn’t realize normal fuel costs. But you certainly must have know how far it was?

  49. Richard Andre on August 17, 2020 at 11:05 am

I remember driver burn out very well! We looped the 48, Or to Vt to Florida to Ca and back in one year! 23000 miles. I was the only driver on the RV . Slow pace helps loads!
