I’m not an anti armed forces person, I think that war is atrocious but we need to be prepared to defend ourselves and sometimes that involves acts of war and killing people. However, I think if the decision is made to kill someone then the person pulling the trigger should be in the same country (or at least above the same country) as their target and they should be empowered to decide whether to pull it or not. To me sitting halfway around the world in comfort with a gaming headset on and looking at a screen takes some of the seriousness of that decision away and is morally not ok.

Man, these guys can fight a war without ever putting themselves in danger… Not much of a fair fight now, is it?

(not that I condone it) But this is why the bad guys fight the way they do, how else do you fight an enemy you can’t shoot back at, other than hitting them on their home turf with truck bombs and suicide vests?

A pair like that killed Soleimani. The drone is up, shift change. Phone rings, HVT. Kill shot. They know who the killed from the media. It is beautiful a monster like that liquidated from a shipping container in Nevada by people who are young.

Can you imagine being on the receiving end of this drone technology? They can kill you at will and there is no way to fight back. I doubt they are even visible unless you had binoculars and knew right where to look. Even if you knew where the drone was, and had the tech to shoot one down, so what? Another will take its place.

Since the US in any war would have air superiority we could pretty much run the whole war using drones.

The ones who kill with video games stuff and bombs attached to themselves are both the same… Terrorists, Killers, Assassins. Just the reasons, interests and the ones who give the orders could be different.
