Max Out Your Drone Batteries

Max Out Your Drone Batteries

One must have accessory that gets overlooked are these adapters from DJI. They allow you to use your intelligent batteries as a power bank to charge devices like your remote, phones, tablets and more. These are not only good while out flying, but I also use a lot of my older batteries at home to charge other devices when I’m not flying.

Why is no reviewer taking about android 10 not working on dji fly. Its been weeks not thousands of people can’t fly their drones.

  2. E T on July 5, 2022 at 7:27 pm

@flyrPath should I buy the new Mavic Mini or the Mavic Platinum? I have a drone now, but only flown a few times, but I don’t have a lot of distance. Thanks

  3. HammahMann on July 5, 2022 at 7:29 pm

I bought this by accident thinking this would use a power bank to charge my batteries. Nevertheless, for the price this little accessory is cool. Do you know of any way that you would be able to charge your Mavic batteries on the go?

  4. Wayne Greenlee on July 5, 2022 at 7:30 pm

can i fly my mini mavic without a phone? its new , a fly more combo. 499.99 from best buy, and now i find out my phone is too old
for the dji app. so now i have a new drone paperweight, till i get a new phone. a samsung a10e, , is there anyway to fly it, or is it locked up until i download the app? kida is upsetting. any help would be appreciated. merry Christmas.

  5. Paul Emus on July 5, 2022 at 7:31 pm

False economy. Don’t waste drone batteries that need to be in good shape. My drone just fell to the pavement because of battery failure.

  6. Hover-Fly on July 5, 2022 at 7:32 pm

These can’t be a cost effective method as a Mavic 2 battery perhaps has only 120 charge cycles.

  7. toe jam football on July 5, 2022 at 7:33 pm

How come you don’t fly your phantom 4 anymore?

  8. WHEELZ FPV on July 5, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Does any of that work with the spark?

  9. tlsmoke23 on July 5, 2022 at 7:34 pm

Don’t leave them in the car.. Too late. Swollen like road kill.

  10. Armando Ferreira on July 5, 2022 at 7:35 pm

The charger of the Mini fly more combo is very useful as a power bank

  11. FlightTime on July 5, 2022 at 7:39 pm

What happens if you leave your mavic mini batteries on the charger charging for more than the expected time? Will they automatically stop charging or will they keep charging and maybe overheat?

  12. DJNVRS on July 5, 2022 at 7:47 pm

The GOLD Question is: CAN one use a POWERBANK to Charge one of these BATTERIES through this adaptor ? 😄

  13. Nick Poverman on July 5, 2022 at 7:48 pm

These adapters are no good for the drone batteries. They lower their lifespan.

  14. KM Wong on July 5, 2022 at 7:51 pm

I just wonder, every drone has a payload they can take off with. Isn’t there a battery solution to increase the battery?

  15. greatguy2003 on July 5, 2022 at 7:53 pm

This video could have been 30 seconds or less. Owner/creator: rewatch it yourself and see what I mean. You said the exact same thing about 5 times! It was so difficult to watch.

  16. JOEL MARTINEZ on July 5, 2022 at 7:54 pm

Hey bossman got a question on my spark dji battery it didn’t want to shut off and the 2 middle green lights were on everytime I but on the spark it would power it up and would not let me shut down battery. Is there anyway I can fix this battery..really would appreciate yr input thanks.

  17. mcrae1977 on July 5, 2022 at 7:54 pm

Nifty idea. But why waste the charge/discharge cycles of your expensive drone batteries? Just head to the shop and pick up a normal power bank.

  18. LinoPR 2016 on July 5, 2022 at 7:55 pm

Should the batteries be drained for storage or leave it at 25%?

  19. Tim McGee on July 5, 2022 at 7:57 pm

    Good reminder!
You mentioned that you don’t use your iPad for flying since you got a Smart Controller. I’m using an iPad Mini 4 with my M2P, and it works great. What are the benefits of the Smart Controller over the iPad? Obviously one less thing to charge and remember to pack. Is the screen better in sunlight? Any other benefits. Thanks!

  20. Darren Alkire on July 5, 2022 at 7:58 pm

I recently realized the mavic air usb adaptor actually provides fast charging. I never charged my phone with it because I figured it would slow 5v charge. I was in a pinch and tried it and to my suprise my note10+ was fast charging! usb multi meter also confirmed charging at 9v 1.85a.

  21. Optical Flow Drones on July 5, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Will they work with the spark batteries ?🔋 thanks 😊

  22. Greg Hilton on July 5, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Hey thanks. I never knew they existed. Merry Christmas everyone

  23. Peter Brøsted Jensen on July 5, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Deep charging your batteries (LiPo) because you have depleted them fully, is actually a very bad idea. The cells might collapse chemically as they need a minimum charge to stay intact and be chargeable. Luckily the newer DJI intelligent batteries automatic switch off, long before you reach that point and are as such protected, but for the older ones it’s around 8-12%. Don’t go beyond that.: You might not be able to recharge them.

    First 🙂

  25. PhillyDroneLife on July 5, 2022 at 8:04 pm

Hey you can send me one of those instead of the cage.. lol lol. Nice job as always.. 👍👍

  26. David Adams on July 5, 2022 at 8:05 pm

Tip: if you connect your phone to the bottom USB connector of your Mavic remote controller, you can actually charge both your phone and remote whilst flying using your spent flight batteries connected with the power bank adapter to the remote’s side port. This can extend your effective flight time considerably.

  27. Ali on July 5, 2022 at 8:09 pm

Bruh just carry a separate power bank

  28. Andy Cortez on July 5, 2022 at 8:09 pm

They’re ideal for discharging your batteries to get them down to storage voltage too.

  29. Ghas Foring on July 5, 2022 at 8:11 pm

This is totally useless. no one will charge smartphone from drone battery. I tried to charge dji mavic air 2 battery from my power bank but thats not taking charge from the power bank. is it possible??

  30. AllINeedis1Mike on July 5, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Wish you could charge your flight batteries with the powerbank adapter. I understand that a standard phone charger isn’t powerful enough but i would think something like a 60watt USB typeC PD charger should produce enough juice to charge a single flight battery. It would give more options for charging in the field without having to buy DJI’s expensive car charger. Probably the exact reason that it does not work that way.

  31. Nilmar Aballe on July 5, 2022 at 8:14 pm

why not put a bleeder resistor in series with the cable to prevent the controller from charging the connected phone or tablet?

  32. Tom Spurlock on July 5, 2022 at 8:15 pm

Wow, the Phantom 4 USB charge setup is $29 plus shipping + tax. You have to buy two parts, the cable, and the adapter. I’ll use the one from my M2 flymore kit if needed. Nice reminder, thx.

  33. Found_Fox_Fabrications on July 5, 2022 at 8:18 pm

Can you charge the battery via usb with these adapters?

  34. Tome XVIII on July 5, 2022 at 8:18 pm

    Amazing 🙂

  35. GINOTV on July 5, 2022 at 8:21 pm

Can it work backwards ??????? can you charge the battery with a power bank or it doesn’t do the job ???
