You know whats amazing? Most un-towered airports allow manned aircraft pilots to click thier microphones a certain number of times on a specific frequency that is listed in the charts and turn the runway lights on.

That "hotfoot" on the bugs appendages was great!

  2. Fargo Aerials on April 28, 2022 at 6:20 pm

Very cool video, Ken! Just for nits, the blue lights are actually taxiway lights…the runway lights are white 🙂

  3. Abra Cadabra on April 28, 2022 at 6:21 pm

  6. D Hansel on April 28, 2022 at 6:23 pm

I have USB cables that would do a good job of charging a device but would not transfer files.
I found this out when I purchased the Apple iPad Mini-4. The cables said it would charge the iPad but not let you download files. Others said they would only transfer one way !
That’s like buying a car and not having a reverse. Who in the world would buy something like that.
What were they thinking or not thinking.
I purchased a couple of cable and found out they would charge only ! I took them back and got my money back.
In the Android world I have always been able to charge a device AND send files both way. That’s why I love Android!

  29. Shemar Mills on April 28, 2022 at 6:43 pm

A m i the only one fascinated with the laser?!?!😂
Can it really burn through things ken?

  30. blastman8888 on April 28, 2022 at 6:48 pm

When you use that laser you should wear eye protection I know someone who was using one slipped out of his hand got his eye. He still has a black spot in his eye which obscures his vision.

  31. Glen Smith on April 28, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Have no idea why anybody wants to fly anywhere near a airport. Legal or not. Nice video Ken.

  32. Michael Perry on April 28, 2022 at 6:51 pm

  39. Jeremy Young on April 28, 2022 at 7:08 pm

Ken, when is the how you got your night waiver video coming out? Need all the cards up my sleeve I can get right now. Been eagerly waiting for this one, post or inbox please!!!

  40. Jeremy Weiss on April 28, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Hey Ken, the FAA publishes a list of approved part 107 waivers on their website ( and I didn’t see your approved daytime waiver on the list. The most recent approved waiver posted was dated November 13. When exactly did you receive your waiver?

  41. Antony Alvarez on April 28, 2022 at 7:10 pm

How long did you have to wait for your daylight operations waiver to be approved? Last I heard there’s a lengthy backlog & at the beginning of the year the FAA talked about updating it with a simple test in place of the application process

  42. MrPlaneTalk on April 28, 2022 at 7:10 pm

As a hobbyist, to fly at night:
    1) I need a strobe with 3 mile visibility?
1A) do the LEDs already on the Mavic 2 suffice for this requirement?
    2) Anything else?
    3) Can you point me to the FAR please?
    4) You deserve 200,000 subs

  43. Patchworks Media on April 28, 2022 at 7:11 pm

That lasers insane. In the uk I think we are limited to 1 milliwatt.

  44. Klejdi KD on April 28, 2022 at 7:14 pm

    You are my favorite Pilot!!!
    Love you Ken! <3

  45. christianval on April 28, 2022 at 7:15 pm

    Hi Ken.
    About lasers…
There has been a couple weeks of big protests in Chile.
Look this video from a Police Helicopter and the laser effects over it.
    Here is illegal do that.

  46. Doc Feelgood on April 28, 2022 at 7:15 pm

That was really cool Ken, I have a 1 watt and it’s green and very visible at night . I like to use it in the fog.

  47. Matt Wittman on April 28, 2022 at 7:16 pm

Hey Ken. Great video. I recently obtained authorization through the FAA Dronezone to fly (as a hobbyist)in my hometown’s class E to surface airspace. My town doesn’t have LAANC, so that’s how I had to get authorization. I applied for three months worth of flying and they gave me two years of approval. Since then, I went to my towns local airport. I spoke with the manager on duty, showed him my authorization from the FAA and he allowed me to fly.

  48. Bruce Farmer on April 28, 2022 at 7:16 pm

Congrats on your daylight waiver Ken! Looking forward to seeing your video on how you got it.
I get how the strobe (on the top) helps meet the 3 mile visibility from other aircraft, but don’t you also need additional lights to see the orientation of your drone?
This guy says you need it here:
