all that height wasted on a short layout..

  2. Annmarie Grace on August 1, 2020 at 8:18 am

    It almost looks peaceful

  3. rdbarne on August 1, 2020 at 8:19 am

Orion looks awfully short. They could’ve added a few more small hills and some more twists to complete. Nice looking ride

  4. JuiceGodAlpha on August 1, 2020 at 8:20 am

7:50 Check out the re-work of Flight of Fear’s queue. They’re using part of the old Firehawk queue as additional length.

  5. Boiler Coasters on August 1, 2020 at 8:20 am

This footage is amazing!!! This vid is probably the best footage of Orion besides when I saw it test up close in person with my theme park club

  6. Coaster Critic on August 1, 2020 at 8:21 am

    When was this filmed??

  7. Chris DeWitt on August 1, 2020 at 8:26 am

Sad to see that empty space where Vortex was. Great video!

  8. Collin Gray on August 1, 2020 at 8:28 am

I can’t believe wear my favorite ride ounce stud is just a empty drit space now

  9. TomCollierBlog Nation on August 1, 2020 at 8:30 am

It looks short and underwhelming. We will see

  10. Lil Dac2 on August 1, 2020 at 8:30 am

Kings island is a beautiful park

  11. Mike Klug on August 1, 2020 at 8:30 am

I was completely mind f#!ked as a child when the commercial for the Vortex hit the tube.
"Yo mah get the tampax stuff my shoes!"

  12. Cameren Stepp on August 1, 2020 at 8:31 am

Beautiful video. Hopefully they’re running more than two trains on Orion considering that obscenely long flat/angled break run can easily accommodate two trains while one loads/circuits. Have them unload at the bend lip TTD so the trains return to the station empty to be loaded. Also, with the removal of Firehawk and then Vortex immediately after, they better have something big coming to use up the plot of land Vortex was on. An RMC would do well here. You remove one iconic coaster that god rough with 30+ years of service, and mediocre “flyer” to begin with and then bring in what looks to be a bottom tier Giga. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

  13. Angelo Giles on August 1, 2020 at 8:32 am

This is so far the best drone footage I’ve seen for this.

  14. TigerRocks503 Aka: Chase on August 1, 2020 at 8:32 am

You know I’m not gonna lie…As beautiful as Orion is…it’s hard to believe another beautiful ride once stood right across from it.

Kings Islands skyline will never be the same without it.

doesn’t really look like a 2020 coaster to me ..millennium force built 20 years ago and parts still don’t measure up …this ride looks fun its 300 feet …but doesn’t look fast doesn’t look long..it does look graceful but then again this isn’t going to make me go to Kinds Island to ride it when there is Cedar point and Six Flags Great adventure with so much more to offer ..I am sure this will attract many ..just doesn’t have really anything new like a coaster in 2020 should have

  16. Ntwa Dumela on August 1, 2020 at 8:36 am

And I finally like some music on a coaster page! Thank u!

  17. Nati Drone on August 1, 2020 at 8:42 am

Solute to my fellow Cincinnatian Droner… we out here 🚁

  18. Eric Befumo on August 1, 2020 at 8:42 am

yikes. that empty plot of land where vortex used to stand is sad

  19. Michael Liptak on August 1, 2020 at 8:43 am

too bad people are not gonna get to ride it this year as they and other amusement parks are not gonna be able to open this year as the virus will still be around

  20. James Barton on August 1, 2020 at 8:44 am

Where Vortex once stood you can fit a B&M wing coaster over there. So long as you can fit the layout. It won’t touch The Beast’s track or you can build over the tracks.

  21. Berland Media on August 1, 2020 at 8:45 am

This is beautiful! That roller coaster looks amazing! Making some drone videos from Norway myself if you’re interested.

  22. sportsMike87 on August 1, 2020 at 8:46 am

    They built that fast

  23. Dave Ross on August 1, 2020 at 8:49 am

Great video. Answered my question. There is a big hole where Vortex was! They even took down the station! Must say the camera shot of the racer track was awesome!

  24. Coasters 24-7 on August 1, 2020 at 8:50 am

What time did you fly over when Orion was testing

  25. Ryne Luecht on August 1, 2020 at 8:54 am

I’m sorry but diamondback has a much more thrilling layout than orion

  26. Hypur Nova on August 1, 2020 at 8:55 am

Wait… I thought they were building Orion where Vortex was, not Firehawk…what are they building in place of Vortex then?

  27. Felice Graziano on August 1, 2020 at 8:55 am

I really wanna get out here this year… damn virus. It’s strange; it’s so, so far away (I’m in Italy) but it feels comforting and familiar even though I’ve never been there.

  30. Gabe Quinn on August 1, 2020 at 8:57 am

Ngl Im pretty disappointed with Orion’s layout

  31. Chase Martini on August 1, 2020 at 8:57 am

Great Footage. Its a shame they couldnt have added a twister section and use up more of Firehawk’s old land.

  32. The Lawl is the *LAWL* on August 1, 2020 at 8:59 am

I think that the trains from vortex were used for the Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds

  33. mcdividends on August 1, 2020 at 8:59 am

Great video. Sure looks weird without Vortex…gonna miss that ride

  34. brody boggs on August 1, 2020 at 9:02 am

Ron Toomer is rolling in his grave right now.

  35. Tomulator on August 1, 2020 at 9:02 am

    Great video…EXCEPT the MUSIC!! 🤢🤮🥴

  36. Caden Schmidt on August 1, 2020 at 9:05 am

them getting rid of Vortex makes me so sad.. was it an uncomfortable ride? yes. was it fun as hell and one of the highlights of my kings island trips? hell yeah

  37. Cory Seevers on August 1, 2020 at 9:06 am

Could the old vortex plot be grounds for a future winged coaster 🤷

  38. Nrules on August 1, 2020 at 9:07 am

I hope i get the chance to ride onion 287 some time

  39. Xthunder on August 1, 2020 at 9:07 am

    Congrats on 100 subs!

  40. Red Headed Ron on August 1, 2020 at 9:08 am

Great View of The Park But Orion is still a Lame Crappy Coaster and a Complete Failure.

  41. Alex Snitzer on August 1, 2020 at 9:08 am

    5:14 RIP Vortex

  42. Hawaiian Coasters 325 on August 1, 2020 at 9:09 am

Is it just me, or does it look like there is a wall separating the fast lane and regular side of the stairs going up into the station.

  43. Koby Brewer on August 1, 2020 at 9:11 am

I bought 2020 gold passes and the corona is going to ruin it all

  44. The Kurt's Place Channel on August 1, 2020 at 9:11 am

Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.

  45. Josh Andrews on August 1, 2020 at 9:13 am

I do not know how much space was limited for building this ride. Given this viewpoint and perspective I do not know why they ended the ride so short. It seems like there was enough land opposite the wave turn to be able to make the ride longer with a stronger finish. Should be fun though!

  46. Clutch Master on August 1, 2020 at 9:14 am

5:15 cedar fair hates arrow dynamics

  47. Matthew B on August 1, 2020 at 9:14 am

Wow, they sure did get rid of the Vortex really quick.

  48. Jason Fogel on August 1, 2020 at 9:14 am

    Orion looks like an animation.

  49. Coaster Bro on August 1, 2020 at 9:15 am

6:52 are those steel supports connected to the beasts helix?

  50. baljeetus on August 1, 2020 at 9:15 am
