  19. drewski on May 13, 2022 at 6:58 pm

They could have bought drones that can fly for up to 72hrs. I think this was a waste of $$$$

  20. alex stevens on May 13, 2022 at 6:58 pm

I actually partake in the setting up of this building network and power system

  21. Amun Ank on May 13, 2022 at 6:58 pm

A wonderful step in the right direction. This should have been done a long time ago but still very grateful it has finally materialze. The king air is a great aircraft for the role it will play and hopefully it will be joined by at least two more examples for continuous operational needs especially border patrol and ISR operations. Congratulations on a step in the right direction.

  22. Wayne Calder on May 13, 2022 at 6:59 pm

    Very nice Jamaica

  23. Steven Parchment on May 13, 2022 at 7:02 pm

A county doesn’t buy these things unless they have a system in place to service them, I hope they don’t end up just laying around not being put to good use

  24. rastadee on May 13, 2022 at 7:03 pm

    Why not they need it

  25. IamINERT on May 13, 2022 at 7:04 pm

    Why couldn’t be buy a mig 19 or a ww2 attack aircraft ?

  26. GSA Architectural & Mechanical Drafting Inc. on May 13, 2022 at 7:04 pm

Very good job but they also need more helicopters for the army to use to track down the criminals, if Jamaica had a very reliable rapid response system where whenever there is a shootout they can summons the army and they come out in a moments notice, that world let criminals think twice because it’s very difficult to escape when the helicopter in the air spots you, just my opinion

  30. R Tee on May 13, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Very Good, we desperately need them, they will be able to spot Suspected arms
Smugglers, and boats Carrying Drugs or Arms, and give information to the Coast
Guard Ships, So that they Can be intercepted and Search, the Root of our Gun
Crime is Coming from Abroad, mainly America and Haiti, this will help, but we
need Some tougher New Laws, to Combat the Gun Crime effectively, the death
penalty should be Reinstated, for possession, use, Smuggling, buying, Selling of
any illegal firearm, Murderers who use Guns to Kill should lose their lives as
well, its no good putting them in prison and Releasing dangerous Criminals
after a few years only for them kill more, the Government need to implement the
death penalty urgently; if they are Serious about fighting this Gun pestilence,

and we also need two Large troop Carrying helicopters that Can Carry Police and
Soldiers to hard to get to terrain anywhere in Jamaica in Minutes; the badmen
and Gangsters have declared War on Jamaica, and we must fight fire with fire,
    to take Our Country back;

  31. DJ GENIUS on May 13, 2022 at 7:12 pm

  34. danny blackhorse on May 13, 2022 at 7:13 pm

A helicopter is needed for emergency rescue, ok let me say it jets for "BORDER PATROL"?????????????????????????????? what border? Jamaica is an island surrounded by water Mr PM, I would say
spend the money on Helicopters the most versatile aircraft there is that every country should at least have 6, Jamaica is 144 miles long, most Helicopter cruse about 145miles an hour, top speed can go as fast as 250 miles an hour easily cover from tip to tip of Jamaica you don’t need a runway and they can land almost anywhere in time of need, do we need Jets ?everyone is shouting for joy now comes the hard part paying for them and maintaining them far more than the price to maintain a Helicopter, spend the money it comes free, wait we borrow it from China more land to give .

  35. these foxes on May 13, 2022 at 7:15 pm

At first I must say well done mr minister

  36. Richard McGrath on May 13, 2022 at 7:17 pm

Good stuff. Need 2 more Beechcraft turboprops with as high tech equipment as we can get. I’ve been trying to think of ways Jamaica could prevent boats smuggling stuff to our shores; Its a massive undertaking with 635 miles of coastline.

  37. Taniesha Russell on May 13, 2022 at 7:21 pm

Lol really how did we acquire those as if this govament spending a dime on crime that they created. All this looks and smells like American doing behind the scenes. Jamaica is a tiny island if they really wanted to get crime and violence down they would have a long time ago. Not too long ago Mr holiness he would not use money from other areas to fight crime becuz it going to significantly affect those areas. Now this. But am looking frwd for the changes

  38. Sonia Montes on May 13, 2022 at 7:24 pm

This is one of the best news so far in regards to help in fighting crime. Love it

  44. rundatrack on May 13, 2022 at 7:31 pm

  45. DiManhimselff on May 13, 2022 at 7:32 pm

So basically 2 years ago we acquired 3 aircraft not 1 but 3 aircraft yet an unidentified aircraft entered our airspace did whatever they wanted without no arrest being made so all of that was for nothing thing cause if you spend so much money to purchase plane to do a job how comes man enter Jamaica waters n even manage to escape ??? Incompetent leaders ill say 👈🏽

  46. Mike Johnson on May 13, 2022 at 7:32 pm

We give thanks now we need at least 4 times that hard ware good look

  47. Alma Mockyen on May 13, 2022 at 7:33 pm

I cannot recall a time when so many "new" things were happening in Jamaica all at the same time. It has meant certain dismantling and inconveniences, but when it’s all over our island should have improved its status generally. Wow! Leaving partisan politics aside, the Holness team is a set of busy bees …and I don’t mean maybe!

  48. evron dixon on May 13, 2022 at 7:34 pm
