Is More Regulations For Drones Good And Funny Recreational Drone Law Thoughts For Canada In A Day

I was reading a lot of articles today on how more drone regulations may actually be good for the tech and hobby. As well I learned that my footage I took for fun last year for a TV documentary called Canada in a Day for CTV didn’t make the final cut but it made me think how the Canada drone laws are so silly that technically everyone who submitted drone footage for this is considered commercial and could technically be fined.

I decided to show some if my unused Canada in a day footage such as the bears in Grouse Mountain. I also bumped into a turtle today!

The interim Order just got a little more reasonable
most notably aerodrome restriction have been reduced to 5.5k and helipads down to 1k if your model is less than 1kg
Also the 75m from any building rule is gone and you only have to stay 30m laterally away from people

Something to note… this guy (iN-SIGHT) spoke to Transport Canada and they said that putting monetized drone videos on YouTube constitutes commercial activity and is a breach of their interim order. I note that you start your vlogs with an aerial (drone) shot and monetize your vids so "technically" you’re in breach of the order. Crazy!!

    How about alcohol and tobacco?..
you hit the nail on the head many videos ago when you said it can’t be about safety. It’s not about common sense but dollars and cents.
