I ordered food thru a drone delivery service

I decided to order food from a local drone delivery service for the very first time. This is my experience. Learn more about how drone delivery companies can legally operate thru FAA part 107 regulations. Find out how long it takes to get food delivered via drone.

Drone food delivery is certainly something that will become more common in the future, but how well does it work in the present?

That drop was crazy. I’d be pissed if someone or something dropped my hot made sandwich multi houses high… Unless I was drunk and on the run from the law. At that point is be happy. I’d order from them again. Awesome video guys!!!!

I have to say that most of the Crispy Chicken Sandwiches we get around here look like theyโ€™ve been dropped 30 feet anyway. Still very popular.

That’s pretty funny. So how does this work? Does the crew hangout at the local Popeyes and BK shopping center?

Hey, thanks for sharing. Iโ€™m sure there are things to sort out, but competition will improve the experience. I definitely think this is the future, especially in urban areas.

Per the Part 107 rules the pilot must maintain line of sight, or maintain communication with an observer who can keep visual sight of the drone, hence the two operators.

This could be pretty good for saving on trips to the hardware store for the Saturday afternoon projects. Thirty foot drop might be a little bit of an issue though. maybe add a parachute ala Hunger Games.

  32. The Rogue Scientist on October 1, 2021 at 8:34 am

More food delivery drone videos please

  35. dingalarm on October 1, 2021 at 8:36 am

Isn’t it ironic how the media and public became hysterical over the noise & their "invasion of privacy" with rogue consumer drones, and yet they seem to have welcomed delivery drones, even though there will potentially be more noise, greater loss of privacy (all drones have cameras) and a greater likelihood of injuries (due to dropped packages or drone failure) ? The hobbyists (who fly safely & responsibly) have been well and truly shafted by the regulators (FAA etc) in favour of commercial users. The world is full of hypocrisy ! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ก

This video starts at the 6:00 minute mark. "He dropped our chicken sandwich from like, 30 feet." Hilarious.
