You suck. I can’t even fly this damn thing in my back yard ! Absolute worst piece of trash ! Spend countless hours killing batteries, looking for numbers and NEVER flying ! Your POS app wants me to update, fine. Then is says no internet, so I have to disconnect wifi from the controller and use my home wifi . At this point the APP no longer gives me the update option ! Worst ever !!!!

  6. Quentin on October 15, 2020 at 12:28 pm

I got my drone since 2017 ending. barely used it yet and now there are so much restrictions..I should have definitely used it more then 2 times when everything was still chill..I mean if I want to break the law they should let me and still get away with it I mean HOW are their responseable for my behaviour …Stupid. Next drone im gonna get is either gonna be something different or their change their shit what their definitely not gonna do

I just got my Mavic mini today, and can not fly it anywhere in my city because my WHOLE city is in the Blue Zone (our airport is located in center of my city). What kind of joke is this?

  10. chris c on October 15, 2020 at 12:32 pm

Are you allowed to fly in a yellow warning zone…I’m confused…I’m very new to this and I’m struggling with all the rules and regs….I’m in a Yellow zone just outside of a small airport..I unlocked it on the dji app by leaving my phone number but I dont think this still gives you permission to fly

  11. Roanoke VA on October 15, 2020 at 12:33 pm

I am in Television News, and you would not believe how many times I’m in a zone with 100 to 200 feet clearance, I’ve got my LAANC approval. I’m good to go, but will the drone let me fly? No! It say’s I’m restricted when I’m not. So frustrating, because I’m usually in a hurry anyway.

  12. Lee Keights on October 15, 2020 at 12:35 pm

Trying to do this with Mavic mini but the drone is not listed ?

  13. Ben Pumpiner on October 15, 2020 at 12:37 pm

If you call DJI for help and get the least bit frustrated, they hang up on you. If you call back, they put you on hold and disconnect you again. It wouldn’t be so bad if the support team knew the least little bit about how to help…but you’ll get a bunch of “I don’t know”s before they hang up on you. Love their drones, hate everything about them afterwards.

  14. comcastjohn on October 15, 2020 at 12:38 pm

What gives you the right to dictate where we can and cannot fly from? The pilot should make a go or no go decision on his responsibility. The FAA makes our laws. Not Japan. If the pilot breaks the rules, it is on him and not for you to decide.

  15. Jen Smith on October 15, 2020 at 12:38 pm

I’m at San Fernando Valley RC Flyers Apollo 11 Field and I am locked out. Very frustrating to drive all this way for this.

  16. Steve on October 15, 2020 at 12:39 pm

I have found a bypass to fly in doors with Mavic Mini for areas in lock zones.
    1. If you take drone to auth fly area turn on then turn of,
    2. Bring drone back to home do not turn on beforehand,
    3. Now ensure you are indoors and drone wont get a signal so it will fly until it picks up GPS again.

This has worked for me as I am 3.5 kms from Airport, so it sux I cant fly outside but I can use inside house for group shots or Xmas gatherings all at the table, then again I suppose if you were really keen on photos like this you would use a normal camera, but hey …just saying.

  17. Sebastian Chavez on October 15, 2020 at 12:42 pm

In the App tab says disconected, what should I do then? (no import option)

bugatti314159 their customer service is the worst. I have been trying to fly this BRAND new drone for 3 days.

They are very apologetic and understanding of my problem

That’s are far as it gets.

I’m sorry I can not help you.

    Hands down the worst!!!

  20. Adam Genez on October 15, 2020 at 12:49 pm

How to you check if you have a verified DJI account??

  21. Lawn Mower on October 15, 2020 at 12:49 pm

Got a dji drone and can’t even use it lmao

  22. Slawek S on October 15, 2020 at 12:50 pm

Geo restricted zones are incorrect in the location I live preventing me from flying. Contacted dji about this problem asking to update their map but it looks that they don’t care. Even county I live in is not correct. Still nothing…
Future customers beware. Check their map before you buy from dji or you won’t be able to use your drone at all.

  23. Alessio Sa on October 15, 2020 at 12:51 pm

If you don t provvide us with an offshelve hack like other brands do you will lose to your competitors, you will lose your market and can go produce tablets]

  24. Be like Bruh on October 15, 2020 at 12:51 pm

I can’t even fly my drone even in my front yard because we live near an airport 😑. Really sad.

  25. Kamyar Kamyab on October 15, 2020 at 12:53 pm

Unfortunately, some of the comments are so amateurish.
Every experienced and professional drone operators know about NFZ and must be ready.
When you buy a drone, you must know how to use it and where are you going to fly.
    So plan your flights ahead.
The people who fly without notice, must know all NFZs’ around them.
BTW each DJI application has own options.
If you don’t respect NFZ you’re an amateur operator.

I am not defending DJI, I am surprised why some semi amateur operators still don’t know about drones.

  26. Matt Murray on October 15, 2020 at 12:53 pm

How do you do this on a iPad without 4g?

  27. Conservative View on October 15, 2020 at 12:54 pm

This is some BS! There is no rationale behind this for the consumer. DJI needs an explanation as to why they restrict usage of products WE BUY AND OWN. You are not Apple Inc. Does the US government have anything to do with this?

  28. Revolving Productions on October 15, 2020 at 12:55 pm

Looking for help here. I’ve had trouble w/ lifting the limit in a GEO zone, when I follow the prompt it says I’m not a verified user, than I can’t figure out how to become a verified user. Someone please help tell me what I can do!

  29. Pablo Diaz on October 15, 2020 at 12:55 pm

Was searching in buying one. Not anymore.

  30. J M on October 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm

I owned a Spark and now a Mavic2, I was asked by the EPA to do an aerial survey of a tank farm / storage facility. Contacted DJI and even though I had US Govt approval to fly, they said "we don’t know about that, we’ll get back to you in 24-48 hours". 48 hours came and went, ended up getting EVO on Amazon to get the job done.

  31. Exogen Design on October 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm

After that one Fucking update My Drone Doesn’t flay anywhere even in a remote areas It’s fucking stupid putting such shit, I live in a country where drones can fly anywhere. I can’t even get the fucking work done. I regret updating that shit 3 days ago, makes the drone unusable. Fuck that NFZ.

  32. Frederic Hore on October 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm

So DJI Support, how long does it take before I get approval from you, to fly in a restricted zone?
I live in a house 3km south of a major airport away from aircraft flight paths, but can’t do an operational check like a 3ft HOVER, to verify my drone is operating fine, before going to fly in a non-geo lock zone. Want to be able to do it indoors with no wind, to run tests, make settings changes, check lights, etc but can’t because of your geo-lock. Please advise!

  33. Carlo Bravo on October 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm

Do I need to do this too, I life in Spain and want to buy a mavic mini,
I got a big military air base right next door, and the zones has 3 different tones of blue ,
I need to know if I can fly my mavic mini in my home town before I buy the mavic mini

  34. 24 HERBS TV on October 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm

DONT BUY DJI WASTE OF MONEY IF YOU DO YOUR STUPID cause you just spent over $2000 For Nothing and can’t fly it!!
Dji don’t care about customers after they got your money!

  35. David King on October 15, 2020 at 12:59 pm

DJI, perhaps you should put this WARNING on your website in red fones and on every box of the drone you sell to the customers. PLEASE.

WARNING: We make great drones but you CAN NOT fly our drones 95% of the time due to our PERFECT Geo Zone policy.

  36. BROZ Dizzy Dizzy on October 15, 2020 at 1:02 pm

Well I guess I’m selling my DJI !!!!!

  37. MTF on October 15, 2020 at 1:05 pm

All this and I just want to get nice drone footage over the city 😒

  38. Derr Nav on October 15, 2020 at 1:08 pm

I would sell the Mavic air, but nobody will buy it because of these restrictions. I can’t give the thing away, and I cannot fly it in my own back yard. Will never buy another DJI product.

  39. Janusha on October 15, 2020 at 1:09 pm

I cannot fly this thing ANYWHERE… I feel I paid 2000 for a brick. I still havent been able to take off anywhere. Surely there must be a way around this.

  40. Exogen Design on October 15, 2020 at 1:09 pm

After that one Fucking update My Drone Doesn’t play anywhere even in a remote areas It’s fucking stupid putting such shit, I live in a country where drone can fly anywhere I can’t even get the fucking work done, I regret updating that shit 3 days ago, makes the drone unusable Fuck that NFZ.

  41. Tinus vdW on October 15, 2020 at 1:13 pm

DJI should restrict itself to warning only: It is useful to get warned with up-to-date information. In the end the pilot is the responsible person, NOT a non authorized company. Get this in order, DJI!!!!

  42. Bionic Bird on October 15, 2020 at 1:14 pm

You suck DJI. This is like Boeing or Air Bus telling commercial pilots where they can and can’t fly. This is why there are licenses. The FAA says I can fly some where but I can’t because I guess your geo fence supersede s the FAA.

  43. Ragnarok8 on October 15, 2020 at 1:14 pm

anyone has suggestions on a drone with out restrictions? I will not fly around ariports etc but I do not like the idea that my drone has restrictions.

  44. Gonz Miranda on October 15, 2020 at 1:16 pm

    GOODBYE DJI
    NEVER AGAIN

  45. Sinue Medina on October 15, 2020 at 1:17 pm

    My drone won’t fly

  46. Adrian Vio on October 15, 2020 at 1:19 pm

You are a FUCKING COMPANY not a GOVERNMENT BODY you morons! You DO NOT HAVE a right to restrict usage of a product because you DO NOT HAVE LEGAL AUTHORITY. That is the job of a local/federal GOVERNMENT BODY such as police, FAA, fire department, etc. Do you understand that? You cannot sell a product to the public and restrict usage. The government restricts the usage. Just like GUNS, CARS, PLANES, etc. You can REFUSE to sell the product but you CANNOT sell the product and REFUSE the user to use it. By controlling a sold product you are breaking laws protecting consumer rights. Perhaps everyone selling your product and/or throwing it in the trash will send the message.

  47. j n on October 15, 2020 at 1:19 pm

This video is extremely inaccurate and not helpful at all don’t waste your time! This is not relevant to unlocking zones at all everything shown here is not even what is shown on the website the steps and procedure are far off
