Me and Effie, I’m Floyd, waz flying over here on vaccination at Gatsweek, England when we used our instantaneous lance approval. I call my buddy lance, a lot, since we got my part 107 after Effie found out how to hack the airport camera where they took the tests and all. He looks up stuff on the Goggles search motors, and then we fly where we like. I don’t know why you guys take so long to get approval, I can call lance, pour a cup of instant coffee, comes in a little stick like package and add hot water, and then we can flies. It’s all about adjusting the aluminum foil on the top of the GPS locator, that lets you do it. I learned that when truckin. Stick a pin in the commiecast wire going to the satelite dish antenna on ma truck and I could run all day on them electronic logs and all. I regret, so back on tracks, It sure got quiet the first time we flew at Gats weak, probably because Brexit, which means British Exit, was happening while Syria-exit was taking place, and Trump pulled us out, of Afghanistaner, which must be Afghan-e-exit or somepin like that. We are headed for Buckminster palisades next, says Effie, she wants to see the guards change. I don’t mind so much, she let me watch them gals in New York change, what are they called, oh yeah, the "illegaly blondes". I would make them legal if I was mare of Ny. Anyhoo, that trump has become one Ill Eagle trying to Make america Great Again. Maybe he should have tried Mare of BS City, afore trying to run the Popes way and scewing all of us, not just the childers……..Floyd and Effie Out! Oh, Yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS, to all, Ya’ll

Great Video. Well done. Very good update one where things are at.
P.S. I also like you giving another one of your guys a chance to get in on the action too….even if at 10:26 you have to pull him into line rather sternly …Paul!!! Wow LOL.

Altitude in my DJI drone controller app is set at 200 feet and I want to fly over and film fishing boats leaving Quivira Basin in Mission Bay San Diego for a photo (hobby) project.
Launch point is at 1300 Quivira Rd, San Diego, CA 92109.
Aircraft departing Lindberg Field (KSAN)  take off at a steep angle to comply with noise restrictions and are nowhere near Quivira Basin. Question: Can/does the DJI/LAANC system incorporate drone controller height settings in the approval process.

I use Airmap. Works very well.

  6. Aaron Trujillo on January 12, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Showed absolutely nothing in how to actually go through the process off getting Authorization on the app it self. Hmmmm…

  7. Matthew Hinman on January 12, 2021 at 11:37 pm

The folks at Kittyhawk have really made a great app (and they no longer work with AirMap, a big plus in my book).

Wow, this is the best video I have seen on drone airspace and getting a waiver. It was pretty difficult and confusing until now. Thanks guys!

  9. Sarah Wagner on January 12, 2021 at 11:52 pm

I noticed on a different video with reps from Kittyhawk (if I remember right), while you were applying for the approval, it did ask if you have anti collision lights…my question is if you don’t have them and answer "no" will that be a definite denial on their part for your application? I don’t typically fly at night necessitating lights so I don’t have them…but if I need to in order to get approved through LAANC then I will. Thank you for your time!

When I submit a flight plan in LAANC and its ‘approved’- is the ATC or authorities then aware I’m operating on that area or what’s going on?
