It depends on your signal. From the ground it will lock up and drift, there appears to be a complete lockout.. for me it was skimming a 120,000 volt line over 100 feet in the air. Now I launch off a 150ft building within 50 ft of 120,000v and a lower set at 12,000 volts DC The closer you are to the wires, the better your signal is.. allowing you to fly much closer. There is no discharge to the drone, but the wifi is completely scrambled at the wire. I fly around a large substation and am able to get rather close, as long as I am close enough to hit the drone with a good enough signal if that makes any sense. Oncd you touch the wire the wifi data is so corrupt you will need to reboot the drone. Remote reboot feature? 😉 also you could emp proof the drone with doughnuts etc. So I might add,, if you really need the footage, your transmission location and frequency determines exactly how close you can come. Im not a drone expert, but mutiples of 60hz and 100hz would have massive interference, where 5g might pass through

Wish I would have saw this. Just flew my phantom 4 into power lines.
