Thanks Tom, you have been a great help for me getting serious at cinematic fpv 🙂

  2. Denis Pugachev on August 8, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Tom, thanks for the video! I am new to FPV. What mah and C value will you recommend for my 4S batteries on 5inch drone if I want to make cinematic video? I am thinking between 1500mah and 1800mah to have more time to fly.

  3. Te Yang on August 8, 2021 at 9:50 pm

What do you do when you don’t plan on flying them in a while? Do you have to discharge them?

  4. Life Exotics on August 8, 2021 at 9:53 pm

A great video for us beginners! Thanks for the great knowledge

Hi, when you are on the field, how are you charging? Are you using your car battery?

  6. Bartosz Sorokin on August 8, 2021 at 10:00 pm

How long the fully charged battery last unused? If u charge the battery few days before the flight would it hold the same voltage?

  7. Tom Strojnik on August 8, 2021 at 10:00 pm

What are you favourite lipo batteries to use? 😎

  8. Matej Planinšič on August 8, 2021 at 10:05 pm

I usually field charge my batteries from 4,15-4,35V and use them right away.
It gives you 20s of extra power and a little longer flight time,
meanwhile it doesnt degrade batteries becouse of very short time at HV.

    Thanks Tom…

I use a 1550 mah battery on my 5 inch cause it feels best for slow turns, and slow cinematic footage, but is still rly good for heavy freestyle😊

What is a good storage voltage for 4s and 6s?

  13. Kapharnaum on August 8, 2021 at 10:10 pm

For my new Sector v3, I got 1300mah Tattu v3 and 1550mah Tattu v3. Haven’t had a chance to test them yet as I’m waiting for my dji v2 goggles but something to take into account is the weight. 1300 is at 210g and 1550 is at 250g. I will evaluate the ratio between extra weight / extra flight time / flight characteristics with both… Choosing the right battery is really not that simple.

Nice video! For beginners like me, any information is valuable, no matter how many times I have read about it or watched it in other videos. And there are always so many questions about batteries. Hvala! 🙂

What s your favorite lipo for nazgul5 v2? Now I am using lipo 6s funfly 1300…thanks

Great video for beginners. Good job Tom !
    Also if your charging multiple batteries (1500mah 6s – 1300 mah 6s – 1800mah 6s for example) just add the capacity of all of them (1500 + 1300 + 1800 = 4600mah) to determine the desired 1C rating (in this case 4.6A).

PS: I also burned a parallel board once, scary stuff xD

Something about the C rating, to be honest the C rating depends on the capacity, for example, a 850mah 100C means it can output 85 Amp max (ie 0.85*100), but a 1300mah 100C (ie 1.3*100) can output for 130Amp max.
Basically C rating means how much Amp you can pull without damaging the battery.

Just know that 100C is not always the best case for each lipo.

(Always check how much Amp your drone probably draws so you can choose the correct rating lipo)

What voltage do you run your 6s battery to

  20. RedX Fpv on August 8, 2021 at 10:24 pm

    Thanks! Cool!😊

Ore more of a challenge but in the cli you can set up a KV cut to set your motor to the disputed KV for when your running a higher s rating on a higher kv motor as long as your ESC/s are rated for a higher s rating like 6s you should be fine 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Ore you can just deal with the insane throttle curve you’ll creat and warm motors 🤘🤘🤘
