This is evil reporting. The majority of the video is about justifying the US military and it’s "hellfire missiles". Shame

It’s always different between what they said and what actually happened. I want to write more F words but it won’t change anything. So be it.

If the white Toyota corolla driven by Ahmadi "contained explosives" in its boots then there should’ve been residues of the explosive in the gutted car. Did the Pentagon find any?

I love how the NYT throws a few bones to anti-imperialism here and there. They do this to mask what their true agenda is: to run cover for the U.S. national security state and it’s masters, the Little St. James frolicking sociopath oligarchs.

It’s so common among Afghans that they use those yellow and black containers for carrying water. The devils sitting in pentagon have zero sense. We would have seen another level of outrage if this was done in US soil but yeah let’s forget because it was in a poor country like Afghanistan?!
Allah ﷻ ask you and held you accountable very soon, don’t forget that! The oppressors will never find peace!

And then the United States, Biden in particular wants to act like Putin is a monster for killing Ukrainian civilians. Which is not right on Putin’s part, but the U.S is in no position to be demonizing other countries for crimes they too have committed.

There is so much democracy in America that the New York Times can very clearly investigate the military, president, wrong policies of power, war, violence murder. The New York Times did the same in the Pentagon Papers, which were discussed by Noam Chomsky. In my country i.e. India, one cannot speak anything against the government, especially against the Modi government.Modi has got hundreds of people killed directly. Indirect killings cannot even be accounted for.The root cause of Kashmir problem is the Indian Army which openly rapes, kills Kashmiri girls and women.Indian citizen has the right to vote only and only, all other rights are just show and are in paper Lakhs of people have been killed by starvation in India and the entire media is the slave of the government.

Just as bad as the police killing innocent people. This just rubs me the wrong way that our military could be so stupid and careless. Someone needs to pay for this.

This is the norm for US on foreign soil, 99% don’t make it to the news.

  31. kihlos on July 25, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Heartbreaking, we need to be 100 positive and without a reasonable doubt we are attacking the right people. This right here is how we create more American animosity. I’m sorry this happened and he didn’t deserve this he deserved the best.

  32. Tiffany Hart on July 25, 2022 at 8:17 pm

I think maybe since ya know H*tler n 9/11 that our government is a bit on edge but this was a horrific mistake!!!!!! These people should be here now not MURDERED by the place they wanted to come to for a better life! Come on think of it as America growing 🤦🏼‍♀ smh.. isn’t that a GOOD thing!? Answer – YES! THEY JUST WANTED A BETTER LIFE! Instead murdered.. 🥺. Mostly children.

I’m not a fan of the NYT by any means, but these visual investigations have been the best, most well researched pieces of media we have had. Please continue the great work.

Hi, I’m Evan, one of the producers on this story. Our latest Visual Investigation looks at a deadly U.S. drone strike in Kabul that killed 10 members of an Afghan family. We used witness interviews, expert analysis and exclusive security camera video to piece together the last hours in the life of 43-year-old Zemari Ahmadi, an aid worker for an American NGO driving a car targeted by the U.S. military. Fearing an imminent attack on the Kabul airport, the military appears to have interpreted every act by Ahmadi and his colleagues on Aug. 29 as a threat, from loading containers full of water into his car to carrying laptop bags. Contrary to the Pentagon’s story, we found that it was unlikely his car contained a large amount explosives, and that the military had attacked without knowing anything about Ahmadi or where he lived. I’ll try to answer any questions you have about the investigation below. Thank you for watching.

A very detailed investigation into a US war crime. So, when are those responsible up for being arrested and up for trial?
Oh, they aren’t because the US is above the law? Cool, cool…

  44. Sol Schwarz on July 25, 2022 at 8:41 pm

What makes me so angry about this is that final frame. A week after the investigation was published the Pentagon admitted and apologized.
In other words, they would have continued to deny and cover up if not for this investigation…

This is why everyone hates the USA they just want to make war and stuff and they are the one who made Taliban but no The afghan should be blame for even though Taliban came from Pakistan Saudi Arabia and iran

  49. Pinkchu on July 25, 2022 at 8:47 pm

This is horrible….hopefully the family can recover from this

But if they thought there were explosives in the car, why would they launch a mistake at it??? That seems counterproductive😑
