    I wonder if the taxman/insurance looks at drone flight video for sale then investigates if it was insured at the time then you get points and fines lol

    This turned out to be very cheap.
    I went with 1M cover and 600pounds cover for equipment for a Mini 2, videography and photography, and I’ve only been quoted 19.99 a month. Perfect!

    Hi Paul, I have a mini 2 and have been asked by a company to make a promo video for them. I have my operator ID and I’m trying to get insured with flock. When I try to get a quote from them it’s says I need my foundational competency test. Would this be the flyer ID? Thanks

    From the 1st of December, Flock will no longer be issuing new commercial drone insurance policies.
    If you are an existing customer, don’t panic; you are still covered.

    I do not trust insurance companies/people, have not had a pleasant time with them in the past, for my recreation I can live without just fine

    Ha ha! Who else could make such a dry subject funny? I didn’t know about the app… cheaper than I’d thought for commercial work πŸ‘ Thanks for the info Paul.

    Hi Paul, interested in insurance (hobbiest) Question for you. Is the insurance valid without landowner permission to fly? So if I fly my drone from a public footpath will I be insured? Or will the insurance company just say "you should have got landowner permission, your insurance is invalid"

    Hey Paul
    Flock cover sounds good, if for instance i am doing a wedding
    and want to just get the mini 2 up in the air for an Aerial shot of the wedding party, although i can activate the app what happens if the say hotel wants to see proof i am insured, how apart from showing them an app on my phone can one do that? as they probably want to see i got it in advance of the wedding.

    Here’s the problem now, when I entered the same amount as you did ‘coz I only had mini 2. It says;

    The liability limit is too low

    We can only offer policies with a minimum Β£300,000 of public liability cover. Please change the number you entered, and click ‘NEXT’ again.

    Thanks for the info Paul πŸ‘ did the policies you looked into just cover uninvolved people and property or do you know if it covered drone replacement?
    Is there different options for this like 3rd party and fully comp?
    Thanks again mate. Fingers crossed this covid road map thing is working and I/all of us, can start finding some new locations to fly! πŸ€žπŸ˜€πŸ‘
