Just started using liftoff with an Xbox one controller, and I’m getting really good after 2 hours with acro mode. Haven’t tried any other of the modes, but on the tree maps I’m able to weave in and out of the trees, fly up high, dive, go back in the trees and slow down without crashing too much. Loving it so far. Also the liftoff music slaps.

    Good video👍

  4. Jim Mundy on May 10, 2022 at 6:38 pm

This is totally brilliant. Such good information and the ability to visualize growing in the hobby even if you only have $100 to invest up front. Thank you!!

"I don’t know if any of you watched it from beginning to end"
Me: re-watching it for the 3rd time.
Such a great helpful video. I realised that there’s no way I’ll be in analog for long, so I better just go digital from the beginning. Prices are high, but whatewer. As I’m interested in producing videos, It’s gonna be just so much more fun.

  9. plice on May 10, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Hi Matt, just want to leave a huge thank you for giving me advice and me buying my first fpv drone. Awesome video, keep it up.

  10. Terminal Insanity on May 10, 2022 at 6:41 pm

the 65mm whoop is a great starter. you can flip them around indoors all day long. Winter. Rain. Day or Night.
3inch 3s toothpick for sub-250 freestyle outdoors. 5 inch+ if you really like throwing that weight around.
go with ELRS right away imo. Its the future. Will be cheaper than all the other options. And also has the best range/latency. Opensource ftw

Great video! Literally exactly what I’m looking for, thank you!

  16. Erik Meidell on May 10, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Would you recommend the Nazgul 5 instead of the Nazgul Evoque F6D?

  17. Invader Core on May 10, 2022 at 6:49 pm

idk anything, but I feel like you could have easily changed your nazgul choice a couple times just to have variation. I’d hate to see people that watch this and think iFlight=Life – there’s a Lot to choose from.

  18. Mix Ssh on May 10, 2022 at 6:50 pm

When is 2022 update Matt? 😀 what are the best values in fpv today

  19. Greg Hill on May 10, 2022 at 6:53 pm

if you are willing to go with used equipment you can get some great deals that way.

  20. don dupuis on May 10, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Great job, as a newbie it really helps. Thanks

  21. Siamect on May 10, 2022 at 6:55 pm

As soon as your budget allows you should get a second drone so you can continue flying even if the primary quad is broken… And a couple of GoPros…

  22. Junn on May 10, 2022 at 6:56 pm

땅… 꼬마? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 왜 자꾸 친숙한 게 보이나했네

  23. Mike Hudson on May 10, 2022 at 6:56 pm

Hey I’m just curious……what would you pick now a year later for your high end 1600 one…..and why didn’t you ever change drones when you got to 5 inch

  24. don dupuis on May 10, 2022 at 7:00 pm

How does simulator work with digital

  25. Ryan Lebron on May 10, 2022 at 7:03 pm

    Awesome

  26. The Moggidriver on May 10, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I‘m in fpv now for 9 month. Climbed the ladder from 1.6 inch whoop to 5 inch in the analog world and then changed to digital. Your tutorials are first class 🏆 and helped me a lot. 100% recommendation for people getting startet with this phantastic hobby 🤙

  27. WEEB on May 10, 2022 at 7:07 pm

    You should update this

  28. Terminal Insanity on May 10, 2022 at 7:07 pm

analog / shark byte / dji really depends on your flight style.
analog will always be useful. But the new SharkByte system is great for lightweight short range digital video. DJI has the best video quality and good range. But its a chinese military company soooo

  29. Zouni07 gamimg on May 10, 2022 at 7:07 pm

You should make an uptaded version of these video

  30. Deniedharmony56 on May 10, 2022 at 7:08 pm

For the $400 goggles I can’t seem to find any that are in stock could you recommend another pair within the price range?

  31. MrCadrigar on May 10, 2022 at 7:13 pm

Wow i thought it is waaaay more expensive hobby

  32. Sum Dood on May 10, 2022 at 7:13 pm

Would be awesome if you could do a video on drone packages with the DJI Air Unit models, which can be used with our own transmitter, rather than being stuck with the DJI transmitter. The $569 retail for the DJI goggles is kind of a killer, but having HD FPV, without heavy breakup and noise, and a much better low altitude range is night and day. Considering the air unit and camera runs about $169 by itself. The ~$300-500 the drones cost seems like a steal. I know you covered one price point at the end, but it would be nice to see an entire video with a range of digital drones and your opinion on them.

  34. Oliver_Bentley on May 10, 2022 at 7:14 pm

In the description there is a link for the budgets and on the $1000 one it’s says the tx16s comes with crossfire but when I look at the link it takes me too it doesn’t have crossfire do I have to buy it separately or does it just not say it comes with it

  35. Juan Cena on May 10, 2022 at 7:15 pm

  36. Elabo on May 10, 2022 at 7:17 pm

is it possible to upgrade the drone of the beta fpv kit and keep the googles and controller?

  37. Overcharged FPV on May 10, 2022 at 7:18 pm

Im about to jump into custom fov drone building. And this list kinda is scarying me on highend. But i love flying drones. Big fan of dji.

  38. Crumpled paper on May 10, 2022 at 7:19 pm

can we get a 2022 version please? a lot pf prices have spiked and im interested in to getting in to FPV

  39. Jotaro Kujo on May 10, 2022 at 7:24 pm

Heard this on another channel but I’m not sure if I understood right. Can you buy straight the Nazgul 6s and run it with 4s batteries? if you feel like it’s too much or opposite when you get better

  40. Darren .Hunt on May 10, 2022 at 7:24 pm

Hi , do these radios and drones come with Rx and TX modules . Thank u so much

  41. Melo on May 10, 2022 at 7:25 pm

The only thing I don’t know how to find is, what range can I expect from the nazgul5 V2 with that radiomaster tx16s?
What distances are we talking about

  42. Parth Tanna on May 10, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Any updates to this for 2022? How about with ELRS?

  43. Kelvin Lima on May 10, 2022 at 7:29 pm

    Nice video 👌

  44. amorton94 on May 10, 2022 at 7:29 pm

So, in throwing together my own beginner kit before watching this video, I went with a Radiomaster T12 and a DarwinFPV Darwin79. Haven’t got any goggles yet, may just line of sight it of awhile. I’m super excited to get everything, though who knows when the quad will get here from china. I probably should have just gone with the Tinyhawk Freestyle.

  45. megaprochotin on May 10, 2022 at 7:29 pm

plees make 2022 i laik alot this vedeo!!!!1!

  46. Leonie on May 10, 2022 at 7:30 pm

At 1400 I’d recommend the 1500 kit but with the DJI Remote controller 1. This would save the money on crossfire and a separate receiver and run purely via the vista.

  47. David Wolford on May 10, 2022 at 7:30 pm

Watched from beginning to end. Question. And it may have already been asked in the 400 plus comments. I have spectrum stuff for my planes. Can I use that transmitter and put a spectrum receiver in the larger of the two 400 dollar quad?

  48. B0B_69_TTV on May 10, 2022 at 7:31 pm

For 300 buy the nazgul 5 and the tiranis x9 lite

  49. Terminal Insanity on May 10, 2022 at 7:31 pm

get high KV mob6. not the low KV. Check out Ciotti’s whoop videos to see why ;D

  50. David Higuita on May 10, 2022 at 7:31 pm
