FLYING A DRONE LEGALLY
Flying drones legally is something I have been looking into for a long time. Recently I passed my FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate Test. I have been flying drones, mainly DJI drones since 2013 so I had some flight time going in to the testing. I wanted to share my experiences getting my FAA Part 107 license as well as demonstrate how I use drones in construction utilizing DroneDeploy and other software. I also used Drone Pilot Ground School (an online course) for my training. I passed the test, and I wanted to share that experience with you.

Good video, I knew most of this and have actually parked my drone since getting monitized and this is a good reminder for me to knock this out over the winter. Want to use in videos next spring while fishing.
Hi I have a question do I need a license to fly drone in San Francisco California I want to make video of me driving my car π nothing professional or like filming.
Great video on the testing! Congrats on passing the test! ππ
Cool, I did not know you flew drones ! Seen lots of your motorcycle videos and very happy to see you also do drone videos π FYI: I watch most of the youtube videos on tv.
iPad 11 Pro while sipping morning coffee.
Hahahahaha!!!! I am watching on the throne!!!! I nearly spit my morning coffee across the bathroom. πππ
Hey! Did you know Dan sells merch! Yeah right there in the Merch tab. Winter is coming. Buy a new hoodie and a coffee mug. You NEED them.
Love your videos, not really into the drones but I do follow your Harley videos, and really enjoyed you speaking to the eight who got those bikes and gave their feedback to Harley. Keep up the good work PS I know youβre a friend of John Maxwell, does he do YouTube anymore because I havenβt seen him in a while or is he just on Patreon? Thanks and I do enjoy the variety on your channel, keep up the good work thanks again
I donβt watch network TV. The only way to watch YouTube for me is on a big screen.
The FAA has these 5 words β in furtherance of a business β. You must have part 107 if you make one penny with the drone. You should reach out to Ken Heron, he is a great drone resource. Also the FAA is going to require a hobby license soon.
On my phone and toilet! How did you know?π·π
LOL, pauses video to post that I am indeed watching on my phone… on the toilet. BUTT, I usually watch your vids while at my computer
License don’t get a license 2 fly your toy
Iβm on my iPad. 1080 is fine. But you could drop a 4K video every once in awhile.
