    Really appreciate you✌🏻🇺🇸

Love the vids! Picked up a Geprc Tinygo a few weeks ago and have already outgrown it. Inreallu want something with 20+ min flihht times, and after seeing how good digital is, I find myself debating between the DJI FPV or a freestyle setup using the Caddx digital air units. Can you recommend any “quick to get” freestyle stuff that can get me going with digital video transmission? I haven’t purchased anything other than the tinygo kit, so I’m basically starting from scratch….

Super good info. Thinking of getting into the fpv hobby

  4. Chris Bee on September 19, 2021 at 11:02 pm

Just started watching this series having stumbled across FPV whilst researching camera drones. Very keen to watch all through. To say you’re biased would be a huge understatement, but you are so obvious and jovial about it, it’s forgivable, 😉. I’m not convinced I will be buying a new £1000 camera drone yearly, so your comparison is a little mean to cam drones, lol. Also you didn’t take into account the used drone market (which seems relatively buoyant in the U.K.). Despite all that I can see myself really getting into FPV.

Would you say what you did is the best option, in terms of get decent goggles and keep them several years? Some of the cheap ones look like house bricks and I can’t see them being comfortable.

Really looking forward to watching the rest of this series

  5. Tony Slajs on September 19, 2021 at 11:04 pm

Thank you so much for this series! It’s been really hard to find the info I need to get started in FPV, so finding solid explanations and recommendations in a coherent and comprehensive package is a godsend!

  6. Len on September 19, 2021 at 11:07 pm

Loved your video. You actually responded to one of my questions ( Thank you so much), But … I have the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2 and all I want is to link the DJI digital goggles so I can watch in 4K ish video. Any workarounds from all these Quad Gurus here?

  7. muzikmon2267 on September 19, 2021 at 11:09 pm

    Great video!! Awesome explanation!!

Why do you have to use the goggles can you use your phone when you fly fpv the experience wont be as good but I don’t understand why you can’t?

  8. muzikmon2267 on September 19, 2021 at 11:10 pm

That setup you have looks great for the fpv Drone.

I was looking at the description to see if I could buy all of those parts and put it together.

But I don’t see it in the description?

  9. ThymeBear on September 19, 2021 at 11:12 pm

Hey another analogy. Camera Drone would be buying a boxed computer (like a Mac), while an FPV Drone would be like Builiding your own gaming PC. I ONLY have camera drones, but you made me interested in FPV. Thoughts on just adding a camera to a cheap toy drone for around the house FPV on the cheap?

  10. John Kaddouri on September 19, 2021 at 11:12 pm

    Awesome information! ✌🏻🇺🇸 Thank you!

  11. Fast4SloW 717 on September 19, 2021 at 11:14 pm

I got a pair of original fat shark dominator. I’m curious how they compare to the new budget friendly recon box goggles

  12. muzikmon2267 on September 19, 2021 at 11:14 pm

Also I don’t know if you seem this Android app that is fantastic for learning camera drone flying and fpv I think you would like and recommend for your audience getting into fpv.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Creativeworld.QuadcopterFXpro

You could pick any mode and view!! Even acro mode!

What’s great about it is it connects to your PS4 controller so it feels like you’re really flying a drone! helped me out a lot at the beginning.

    😉

I bought a heron xp9. If i buy fpv goggles with they pair? I know there is lag, but my phone battery diesquick and it’s annoying. I mean like some eachine $100 goggles

  14. நம்ம புறா on September 19, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Buy budget is 75dollars any mini fpv drone with goggles

  16. Nomadic HeadMan on September 19, 2021 at 11:21 pm

Captain, i got a silly question to ask. Why camera drone can’t be used with fpv goggles?

  17. Richard Davison on September 19, 2021 at 11:22 pm

hello Capt Steve looking at the cavatar your using and wanting to set it up with beta flight and pairing it with my t18 do you have step by steps you can upload as files to your channel to help as i am new to beta flight and t18 radio ,I have taken your advice with these items and need some help .been flying camera drones for a while sorry to bang on with a long winded message .richard

  18. Anthony Lank on September 19, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Can’t wait lol I’ve crushed a few $$$$ helicopters back in the day and would be nice not to have to replace so many parts cause of a tree or something else. Do you need the googly glasses right off and just use the remote and quad in a field to just get the feel for it and buy them later

  19. Mike Reef on September 19, 2021 at 11:23 pm

    Really like ur vids!!!!👍🏼

  20. Matthew Gleeson on September 19, 2021 at 11:25 pm

  21. Morton Beard on September 19, 2021 at 11:26 pm

Can you try some very small reading glasses to see if they will fit into box goggles that don’t accommodate regular size glasses. Thank you.

  22. James Shivers on September 19, 2021 at 11:26 pm

Wow Captain! New to flying drones (less than two hours flight time) I am already interested in FPV because of this video. I look forward to the rest of the series!

  23. Thibault Charpentier on September 19, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Awesome video, what fpv drone are u using? The one u showed in de vid??

  24. Krishna Chaitanya on September 19, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Captain Drone .. Thanks for your detailed explanation..which helps a lot.. one question … can the Googles be connected and used with camera drone ??

  25. Woody Drones On on September 19, 2021 at 11:30 pm

Great video, I have a camera drone Mini 1 and now Mini 2, I want to also go into FPV so I am learning the ropes with CurryKitten App and my PC controller and yes FPV is a different beast Lol

  29. Anton Lian Pascua on September 19, 2021 at 11:38 pm

do you build your own fpv drone? or just buy made ones?

  30. Fact King on September 19, 2021 at 11:38 pm

    Thanks for the video Steve!
As you might be knowing that I want to have some fpv drones now, so I wanted some help from someone…
    Your videos are great!
I saw this video last year too as I subbed you more than 1½ years ago but I was a beginner and wasn’t familiar with those things that is why I was not interested in watching these videos…
Now these are helping a lot!
    Liked the video (as always)
    Keep it up!!!

  31. muzikmon2267 on September 19, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Also wondering how fast the drone can go?

the other thing I don’t know if I could get over is only 4 minutes of flight time. That is just so quick..

When I watch professional drone racing on YouTube. Don’t their drones last longer than 4 minutes?

  32. Marco Reviews on September 19, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Fantastic analysis of differences between drone hobbies!

  33. Local Trap Star on September 19, 2021 at 11:42 pm

What radio model is that there….? Will work with geprc, or tinyhawk…?

  34. ThymeBear on September 19, 2021 at 11:43 pm

As someone who builds FPV-RC cars, and likes playing with camera Drones, an FPV drone would seem like a nice step up. If a Camera Drone is like a Family car, and the FPV Drone is a motorcycle, I’d say Building FPV-RC cars and flying camera drones would be comparable to a Sporty Car with a 6-Speed Transmission.

  35. Joseph Valentinetti on September 19, 2021 at 11:44 pm

Hi Capt. I watched this series on fpv drones and got the emax package (drone goggles controller). My problem is maybe weird. I have a lot of trouble plugging and unplugging the batteries. Is there a tool for this? I just can’t get a grip on them, then my fingers slip and out come the wires. The posts come off the charger when I try to disconnect the batteries. I’ve got to be doing something wrong that has a simple answer.

  36. adehardyfreespeech on September 19, 2021 at 11:45 pm

Fantastic series in easy to swallow bite sized, easy to understand chunks. Top job.

  37. M. L. on September 19, 2021 at 11:47 pm

Hello, your videos getting better and better! I love them very much! The Comparison between Camera and FPv Drones is a very good idea👍

  38. scott newcomb on September 19, 2021 at 11:48 pm

I’ve watched numerous videos on camera drones, but would like to simply fly around my one acre farm to see what our dogs are barking at. Am 69 yrs old and do not need perfect photos, simply surveillance and fun. Cost is not a major concern of mine. Any recommendations? Thanks, Scott

  39. IncrediKAD76 on September 19, 2021 at 11:49 pm

    I’m buying an FPV!

  40. Chris Clark on September 19, 2021 at 11:50 pm

This reminds me so much of building R/C Planes with my Dad when I was a kid, and all the money put into it and everything you had to buy including the radio. It was worth it though. Great videos by the way!

  41. Neil Buckanaga Jr. on September 19, 2021 at 11:51 pm

    @ 8:41 you’re forgetting prop mount type.

  42. Larry Fisher on September 19, 2021 at 11:52 pm

Great explanation of both drone hobbies 😎

    Rush !!!!!!

  44. DailyDoing on September 19, 2021 at 11:56 pm

This one video answered more questions than spending all morning watching 10-20 other drone videos. Great introduction and very clear overview. You also have the ability to not get bogged down in tech talk and still be to speak at the level of a beginner.

  45. NuarStanger on September 19, 2021 at 11:57 pm

    I’m hooked, new subscriber 🙂
Thinking of the tinyhawk 2 freestyle rtf to get started.
Off to video #2 now 😃

    Very informative vid!!!

  47. Rayden Kundera on September 19, 2021 at 11:58 pm

Yes dear friend, l knew before about this different between fpv drone and classic one. But l don’t understand why they not make digital goggles if the camera is digital.
Is not great to enjoy the nature from 100-200m height through fpv goggles? Yes it is. And will be great if is possible to have a movement of the camera 90° or more.
What l like it in the race quads is, the drone flys in many direction you want.
Anyway is more things to tell and l don’t want to write to much.
Is ok anyway, depends on the who is the man to use it and for what.
But at the moment is not in the market a drones that meet my needs. Haha
Thanks for the advice and we will see how the things will go in drones industry.
    Cheers and all the best

  48. Jackson Curtis on September 20, 2021 at 12:00 am

I have watched every video in this play list about 5 times.
I now have my Jumper T 18 and I am well on my well on my way!!
    Thanks Captain Drone!

  49. Lareen Hufford on September 20, 2021 at 12:00 am

A few months ago, at your recommendation, I purchased a Tiny Hawk. Although, I do have glasses, so I haven’t been able to use the FPV goggles yet, I have been able to learn to control the drone, pretty good on the horizon mode. I’m not on acro mode.
My question to you, now. Can you use FPV goggles on a GPS/Camera drone?
I think I could do well with a GPS drone and I’m pretty far from being able to control a non-gps drone.
Also, I like the features of the Ruko F11 Pro camera drone, that my husband has.
Follow, home etc. But, I want to use FPV goggles!
Thank you for your time! Love your videos!
    Lareen

I quit flying fpv like 5 years ago. I just didn’t have the time with kids and work. Now I’m starting to think my old gear is obsolete. I’m thinking I will just buy the novice 4 bundle and go from there
