EHANG 184 – The World's First Passenger Taxi Drone

This is the world’s first Electric Passenger Drone, the Ehang 184.

The drone uses eight electric motors to power eight propellers, which can carry one person weighing up to 100kg, which includes any personal luggage such as a briefcase or handbag.

After buckling in, the single passenger selects a destination on a touch-screen pad on the console, sort of like a Satnav system, and the drone flies there automatically.

The drone has a battery allowing for 25 minutes flight time, and has a range of up to 30 – 50kms from a single charge, and takes two hours to recharge, it can cruise at speeds up to 62mph, and has a ceiling height of 11,000 feet above sea level.

Thanks for watching

Ehang took off without passenger at 0:55
Ehang landed without passenger at 2:21
Maybe it is safer to carry packages only.

This design is useless because strong wind will make it rollover, the center of weight have to be at the blade level or under it

Its going to need to be slightly bigger. Keep pretty much everything just the way it is. 1 seater and 2 seater options. Circle ringed guards around the propellers for 0 human exposure to blades. Needs to atleast be a hybrid engine. 25 minutes of flight is useless. I need that cockpit to be super crash safe. 1-2 parachutes depending on cockpit size. Ima need the option to divert power incase a propeller goes bad. Tinted windows. UV protected. Id LIKE for the legs to collapse inwards after landing and parking for space reasons. If not possible whatever. Needs to be tested for all kinds of weather and high winds. Maybe more luggage room? If not possible understandable. Other than that i think its great. Easy to use. Easy to maintain. Perfect for quick outings or just flying to buisness meetings, the job or even a nice restaurant. Which is why the 2 seater option is essential. This would be a perfect luxury personal ‘flying car’. Once all the kinks are worked out and its approved then improve on the design add a bunch of luxury options, ofcourse the price will increase and i can guarantee people every where will crave one. They would be all over the world in major cities like vegas, dubai, tokyo, miami and paris.

    Hello "Wonder World",
I really like this video and I´d like to ask you if I could use some scenes for a school project, where I have to create a trailer about public transportation in my city.
Therefore I´d be really thankful if you could send me some scenes or allow me to use some from your video.
If you want I can send you my final trailer.
    Greetings from Germany
    Julian

Of course this is a couple years old now. However for at least 10 years with the lone exception of computer parts which you really don’t have a realistic choice, I’ve avoided made in China at all costs. And with the garbage going on now, I’d just as soon swan dive into an active volcano.

necessary future…you cant solve traffic problem in one dimension..human population is groving and you cant enlarge ways forever ,ecpecially in expensive city centers…at the end you need multiple ways in the sky in multiple dimensions…another thing sky traffic must be
autonomous because you can’t leave it to people control…finally you will watch autonomous drone-cars from your home in the skycraper like starwars 3 or star trek..there is no other way..

For this technology to take off you would need drone that has the capacity of a large suv that can carry 6 or 7 people and luggage, a speed of at least 120 mph and a range of at least 150 miles. For that to happen you will nees to at least double battery energy density.
