Ignorance is bliss and runs rampant…idiots! Where it would be ‘impolite’ to fly your drone 20’ above in someone’s back yard…it IS NOT ILLEGAL. Attempting to crash the drone with any intentional tool, including a water hose IS ILLEGAL. Stupid is as stupid does. Homeowners do NOT own or regulate the airspace above their homes in any way shape or form. The FAA is the ONLY regulating body to control ‘airspace’. If not, Airlines would need to get permission from every piece of private property owners along their flight path. Not the case…dummies. Silly lady.

Her backyard is like a prison with all that concrete block.

  3. Rob Guyatt on August 9, 2022 at 8:04 pm

I have a couple drones and I am very conscious of not flying at low level over other people’s homes. a few hundred feet up is no issue IMHO. But over someone’s yard at 20 feet just watching a person in that yard SHOULD be illegal. It’s at the very least, extremely rude. Would the drone owner sit on someone else’s back fence just staring in the yard at any time let alone while people are in that yard? Of course not. So to do it via a drone is most cowardly as well.

ooh dfuck this old hag. no one wants to spy on you old saggy pruned up ass. people are just flying. it is fun get a drone and try it.

drone over my land- is a dead drone

  6. Cry Havoc on August 9, 2022 at 8:08 pm

If it is 100 feet or higher, and not just hovering ( just passing through) it would be ignored. 20 feet above my roof, and hovering, then it’s time for some target practice.

  7. TSIENG VOUNG on August 9, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Lady! you need to be real good looking before they recording you. Your ugly face could chased the drone away.

  8. AOF DOM on August 9, 2022 at 8:14 pm

  9. Booboobear2388 on August 9, 2022 at 8:15 pm

The government has been eroding private property rights for years using environmental law. This is just more of the same except with drones.

Have some poor 13, or 14 year old kid put in jail, and run their life so they have a police record, BE ASHAMED!

You don’t own the airspace about your house or yard.

Most drones you see are just toys and not spying. get one to fly they are very fun and it is a great harmless hobby. I don’t even have cams on most of mine i just like to fly them. the one’s that i do have a cams on it is for FPV flight / racing only. NOT recording but real time flying with goggles. the cams are mounted on top to give you the pilot’s view / FPV First Person view for a better flying experience. also drones have a real purpose and help search for lost people / survey land, sea, forest and explore and document much of what you see on animal planet and National geographic and such. also professional used by law enforcement and inspect structural equipment like towers and bridges. also in the film industry and sports. It is really a great hobby that could turn into a very lucrative career. Trust me… no one wants to see whatever it is that you are afraid of being caught on video doing. Yuk ! Most people just love the sport and want to fly. so before you go off on the kid next door or your neighbor who maybe be checking on his land or livestock and such. no one wants to record your miserable life and whatever nasty crap you are might be doing on your own property. they are just flying. and It is No crime to fly. unless it is restricted airspace. you don’t even need FAA. permits anymore. So relax and get one and fly. mans has always been fascinated with flight and this is a way for the average joe to experience flight. Kids think it a toy and fun meanwhile you are actually building them up for a real career. who ever says they don’t want to try and fly is lying. Join the movement. hell someday you might be flying a drone to work so get used to it.

  14. Obey Physics on August 9, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Funny part she could have been sued or arrested for hitting it with water if she did. We know our rules morons we now need to teach the public you can’t do shit or you will get arrested for a federal crime. No joke. Some fly for fun but some this is their job and career. Plus not mention all the issues you could cause by shooting a drone down. Hit a car hit so one in head a child even start a fire. That’s what makes it illegal. And she cannot sue unless the drone hade video footage saved.

  15. Sparky's Video Productions on August 9, 2022 at 8:28 pm

Hey KGUN, there’s a HUGE difference between “ON” private property and “OVER” private property. In the case mentioned, it was never ON…

  16. Grayson Miller on August 9, 2022 at 8:30 pm

Police have no authority over airspace. That is the FAA’s domain ALONE! you can not be charged with criminal mischief. That’s just the police bluffing. They have NO authority to do anything. Everybody has the right to use any airspace that any other aircraft uses. Nobody wants to spy on some ancient wrinkled up ass old woman. People are such bitchs when it comes to shit they don’t understand.

  18. lili ks on August 9, 2022 at 8:33 pm

lol forget the luxury of being naked in your garden 🙂
i don’t care if i have to pay a fine afterwards , i see a drone over my garden , i shoot it , end of story . my privacy is paramount . i don’t care that people just want to "flyv their toys" , you fly it over my house you have no more toy.

  19. Coy Hilton on August 9, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Justin I know what you’re saying, im learning to fly a droan, they aren’t as easy to control as you might think I have had a few cheap ones fly off on their own and been " squashed" in the middle of the highway… its like ouch! Then damn. I attempt to keep mine on my 10 acres but I do have a lot of trees. I understand that you probably like your privacy, but there are a lot more of us learning, and not wanting to harm or get anyone’s feathers ruffeled, we just like to fly our toys and have fun. I love aerial photography that’s why I fly. If you would try it once, you will understand what I’m talking about, but then maybe you don’t care about aerial photography…. Happy thanksgiving

I know my right. They aren’t dictated by you or these new laws. they are dictated by our foundation. fuck around and find out, americans have and will kill and die for their rights.

  21. Roddy Creswell on August 9, 2022 at 8:36 pm

Shoot it down. When the owner comes to confront you shoot them and claim they had a gun. It works for cops.

  22. James Ponce de leon on August 9, 2022 at 8:37 pm

  23. Chris Gallipeau on August 9, 2022 at 8:39 pm

  24. Dan Nobles on August 9, 2022 at 8:39 pm

Anybody flying a drone close to someone’s house (especially close enough for water hose spray) is an idiot and doesn’t need to own a drone. Drone owners have enough to contend with without idiots making things worse. Fly responsibly.

  25. Buck Fisher on August 9, 2022 at 8:40 pm

It is against FAA regulations to fly over people, traffic, back yards, and under 400 feet, in uncontrolled airspace. This drone was flying over people at 30 feet. Don’t call the cops, call the FAA. They take this stuff very seriously.

  26. Roy Williams on August 9, 2022 at 8:40 pm

    People are asses..

  27. Frank Kolton on August 9, 2022 at 8:40 pm

A lot of drone people are completely ignorant of the law and air rights. In the 1946 Supreme Court case – United States vs Causby 328 US 256, established that the property owners have domain of the airspace at least 87 feet over their property with possible implied control up to 500 but is has not been defined by either the Supreme court or Congress. The case also implies that the FAA controls airspace from 500 feet up (minimum safe altitude of flight), but may change very soon, and then be challenged.

Flying over private property without the owners consent can be construed as trespass and or violate nuisance laws in many jurisdictions. See – The Efficacy of Trespass, Nuisance, and Privacy Torts as Applied to Drones -https://readingroom.law.gsu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?referer=https://www.google.com/&httpsredir=1&article=2883&context=gsulr

In a Kentucky federal court hearing, the judge dismissed charges against William Merideth, who had shot down a drone operated by David Boggs over his property, saying it was an invasion of privacy, that he was within his right.

David Boggs then sued Merideth for loss of property ($ 1500.00). Bogg’s attorney tried to make his case by saying that Boggs was operating his drone in US owned airspace (FAA controlled airspace) rather than Merideth’s property, hence, he did not violate Merideth’s privacy. He failed to prove that the airspace was in fact owned by the United States and eventually lost the case. He appealed and lost.

My take is that Boggs is not exactly the brightest person in Kentucky. The writing was pretty much on the wall at that first hearing, yet he hires a lawyer which is going to cost at the very least a grand or two per day (a lawyer spending a full day in court is expensive), and they are going to try and go against a notable supreme court case (US vs Causby). That loss wasn’t enough for Boggs, so he had his lawyer appeal it. All for a $1500 toy, what a chump.

If I feel it’s spying on me or my family..it’s coming down, period

  30. robert payton on August 9, 2022 at 8:43 pm

First the individual with the certificate will be mindful and respectful of you as a property owner. I have no problems, it’s call informing and requesting. Oh the flip side..drones are classified as unmanned aircraft, and an individual can get into serious consequences on destroying a platform zipping across the air at non harassing altitude.

  31. Alex Dalton on August 9, 2022 at 8:43 pm

Pffffffffffffff phantoms………… if someone flies a race drone on your property you ain’t getting it un less your are very very very lucky 0-80+mph any direction…. pffff phantoms a joke to the racing community

  34. DunderHead 5000 on August 9, 2022 at 8:47 pm

According to the U.S. Constitution you own the air-space above your home. How it’s interpreted nowadays is probably very different.

  35. DreadCandy86158 on August 9, 2022 at 8:53 pm

Oh my goodness… So at the end of this the point is that you were outside and someone could see you? Wow! That’s sooo crazy, lets get on the news and cry about it. News flash… There are cameras on every street and everywhere you go.Stop being a freakin baby, its someone playing with a damn drone flying around rather than committing real crimes. You should be more concerned with your damn phone spying on you!

  36. XLexieXBabyX on August 9, 2022 at 8:56 pm

i dont give a damn what any lying bullshit news channel says, i hate drones lol, and if i see one anywhere on or across my property or property line, ill let my 2 buddies Smith and Wesson deal with it…

  37. Justin Myslive on August 9, 2022 at 8:57 pm

if you live outside of city/town limits and if it’s flying or hovering low enough to be brought down by a shotgun then you should be able to shoot it. as far as I’m concerned flying or hovering a drone over of around a private residence is invasion of privacy and trespassing

  38. Drone Shark on August 9, 2022 at 8:58 pm

They can’t see in your windows especially during the day. You would have to be so close you could crash .

  39. Obey Physics on August 9, 2022 at 8:58 pm

I don’t ever hover over someones house. Even though I know I can fly over. It’s just common courtesy. When I see people they look up I’m flying by at 20mph. We have to still respect our fellow men and woman’s privacy. But there will always I mean always be bad apples.

  40. breadfan9 on August 9, 2022 at 8:59 pm
