    Never fly your drone over anyone, and when there are people around the drone needs be atleast 30 meters away.. so you cant fly around anyone but you can be 30 meters away from people..oh ok

    Its amazing that a mob that cant properly manage full size aircraft decides it can impose on hobbyists. I understand sensible but CASA has never displayed sensible.

    So basically, if there’s something worth filming with a drone, it’s probably illegal to do so?

    FPV is not a crime!

    So what you mean is own a drone but never fly it thanks

  8. R J on April 13, 2021 at 1:44 am

    If you fly your drone 120 meters high, it is already not in your visual line of sight, since drones are small. Who came up with these rules? They sound extremely stupid. These rules are outdated, now there are FPV drones that 100% require you to look into a screen. And you have to look into a screen if you are capturing a video or a photo.

    FPV = First Person View.

    You need to keep updating and polishing your rules otherwise you will have the same fate as the dinosaurs.

    hope no one bought a pair of dji race googles or races drones in australia in general

    Talk about fun police. Having this many rules dictates that users simply won’t bother.
    A better safer approach is a more liberal and simple solution. Not that I expect CASA to understand. FAIL.
