Drone Registration | What You Need To Know | Jessops

Welcome to our YouTube channel!
The UK’s new Drone & Model Aircraft Registration and Education Scheme will go live on the 5th November 2019. In this video Lizzie takes us through the two elements to the online registration process.

Anyone responsible for a drone or unmanned aircraft (including model aircraft) weighing between 250g and 20kg will need to register as an operator. The cost for this will be £9 renewable annually.

Anyone flying a drone or unmanned aircraft (including model aircraft) weighing between 250g and 20kg will need to take and pass an online education package. This is free and renewable every three years.

Both of these requirements become law on the 30th November 2019.

Hey Lizzie – thank you for helping to get the message out to everyone; it’s so important that all drone owners/operators in the UK are aware of the requirements and it’s great to see the large retailers, such as yourselves, taking ownership of this and spreading the message of responsible operating! 🙂

Hahaha they can get stuffed…I have been flying a tiny little spark for ages without crashing. Yet again 2019 gone mad. One day you will need to take an online test to prove you can breathe without instruction.

No mention of exemption for BMFA or FPVUK members with "A" certificates. Incomplete advise.
