    Rapid City?

  2. Elix Tido on September 10, 2022 at 8:45 pm

That flight hit the bridge because it was improperly de-iced. The no fly zone should be a one or two mile circle around DCA.

I consider my self #1 drone pilot in Virginia for many reasons. I wanna start making profit with my drone tho.

It Would Be Helpful To Allow Low Level Flight For Commercial Flights To Include Flying A sUAS Lower Or Below Than Any Natural Trees / Barriers, Or Structures Within A 400 Feet Radius Of The Area To Be Flown.

Hey guys! Love all your helpful videos! I’m looking forward to taking some training with you guys specifically the mapping and reconstruction classes as soon as I am able to. I have my 107. I plan to sign up online as soon as I can.

I don’t understand how he can discuss flying in the DC FRZ without mentioning NOTAM FDC 6/2069. After all, that’s the document where all these restrictions come from. I would think it would be a worthwhile mention. I suspect he’s never read it or heard about it.

If you read about waivers in the document, the document is discussing the procedure for flying in the DC SFRA. That is not the same as flying in the DC FRZ. There are no waivers mentioned for flying in the DC FRZ. The process the guy on the right mentions regarding obtaining a waiver and calling a phone number is the process for flying in the DC SFRA. I believe the guy on the right is confusing DC SFRA and DC FRZ. Flying in the DC FRZ is prohibited, and it states same multiple times in the document. The word "waiver" is not mentioned anywhere in association with the DC FRZ.

I don’t know what else the feds could do to make the point more clear.

Well for one not a lot to go with this one. So I guess it’s do your research, ask questions, and hope you have everything FAA, SS and whoever else approves your request. Also Trump flies into West Palm Beach or PBIA when he makes a visit not Ft. Lauderdale. I know I live down here in Florida and his TFR effects only the Palm Beach’s. I can go to Lauderdale and fly no problem done it many a time while he is here.

You guys are so DJI centric. You openly state requesting permission (unlock) from DJI as a step in getting clearance to fly in the red zone. I specifically do not buy DJI products because of their geofencing. Although the biggest, DJI is not the only drone manufacturer making high quality drones.

Is this all of Virginia or just the DC Area? What’s the “freeze”? How about Manassas? Thanks guys.

This show makes absolutely no sense you give an answer to the question and restrict the amount of information you have on hand and give no reason why. If it’s complicated great but what good does it do to give someone just a little bit of information when you already have all the answers. Why should someone have to work out the details on their own when you have this information right in front of you. I thought the entire purpose of this show was to help professionals why can’t you give all the information what is your loss let me guess you’ll lose money and your classes that’s all you are worried about.

  13. Kyle Katchka on September 10, 2022 at 9:23 pm

This is completely wrong… oh my…
I’m sorry guys, but the SS is not the main element to flying in the FRZ, TSA is.. I have a 3 week COA to fly around DC in 2 weeks.
