The shorter the distance between the lure and the drone will increase stability, the longer it is the bait will act like a pendulum and if heavy enough can crash your drone.

Illustrates the kind of self indulgent tech addicts that need instruction on how to use a clothes peg. To Drone fish you only need to take them out of the water. Explore kite fishing; used for some thousand years. The fish strikes the kite rises. No noise pollution. Give peace a chance you low skilled shore fishermen. Or coming soon, air gun drone shooting will become more popular. Spare the rod and spoil the child. Whoresome video guise…I. Wazir

    Very nice 👍

The clip should be directly attached to the mount in the drone. There’s too much risk in all That extra string hanging getting snagged on something or popping back into the drone blades.

    😎 bro

You don’t need to have a 10 ft line from the drone, in Hawaii they tie the clamp to the line between the feet, send it out 900 yards and reel in a tuna

  15. D.E.F. Official. on April 18, 2021 at 1:33 am

I used a pencil and some rubberbands, just clip the pencil to the landing gear, put a link on your line and fly backwards to let it go..

  16. charmnGUY on April 18, 2021 at 1:35 am

Solid line between footing with center loop will be more balanced!
    Lighter rope, will reduced weight!

*Hopefully that clip is not too strong wherr you pull your drone out of balance and into the water!

  23. Wazza722 on April 18, 2021 at 1:44 am

would it work with a sinker and bait though?

  24. Eduardo Bursztyn on April 18, 2021 at 1:46 am

There is a very cheap drone on the market to get 300/400 mtrs to take the fishing line and return? The only end of the camera is to see and throw the plummet, can you advise me?

Thank you for your video. There are so many dropping mechanisms and downriggers available. Always respect for the DIY guys. I have also tested quite a few methods if you are interested.

  26. dlvmark on April 18, 2021 at 1:48 am

Great idea! Do you fish with bait also? I thinking of trying this. Not sure how many hooks to use and what sinker weight to use…

  31. Ding Chavez on April 18, 2021 at 1:53 am

way too complicated, all you need a hook shaped piece of metal attached to the drones legs, fly and then turn around to drop the line

    Helpfull videooo

  36. Kane Lono on April 18, 2021 at 1:58 am

    I would try this.
But… Just like this video I would practice somewhere else first until im very confident. Not out over water.
But I kinda want a drop kit anyways. For other stuff.
I think the long line below the drone is a great Idea. You really don’t want fishing line anywhere near your drone.

  37. Carl Bell on April 18, 2021 at 2:00 am

    Thanks

  38. Snapshot46 on April 18, 2021 at 2:01 am

This is a great video with some good ideas, but why not save $10 and use a clothes pin, zip tie and shower curtain hanger. It amounts to about the same thing. I’m not trying to steal your idea, but I think I could make the clothes pin work. Thanks again for the good quality video.

    Loved it, thanks!

  43. AM Auto on April 18, 2021 at 2:12 am

Big misconception with the clips that help understanding is there are no teeth or serrations where the clip holds the line so it should be able to slip out without too much force once the bail is closed

  44. avinash anchan on April 18, 2021 at 2:13 am

Thanks… Was searching electronic release mechanism…this was simple n effective.. Cheers

  45. Jeremy Tucker on April 18, 2021 at 2:13 am

Its the whole unclipping part i’m worried about. Hopefully the clip wont continue to hold on to the line and causing some sort of weird flight problem for the drone. this is why i’m using a cheap drone to fly the line out

  46. Ernesto Castellon on April 18, 2021 at 2:13 am

    Name of this drone?

  47. NR on April 18, 2021 at 2:14 am

  48. SHADOW LIVING on April 18, 2021 at 2:15 am

You just saved me almost 1K dollars. Now I don’t have to go out and buy a underwater drone with fishing line release. Thanks for sharing this simple solution. New Sub Today.

  49. Nick Zarb on April 18, 2021 at 2:16 am

Really interesting and well done. Now, what if you’re using a very fine line (1.5lb) and a very small jighead (0.3 – 1g)? What king of system would one use?

  50. Nick Smith on April 18, 2021 at 2:16 am

    Good easy method. Thanks! 😊
