Nice video but I’ve been wondering about the battery options for the big high end drones?
I think Dji Mavic 2 Pro is called PRO bcs its best in mavic line (series)
Vol van zichzelf. Hij vindt zichzelf een hele bink die het allemaal weet.
I just bought an entry-level 100 drone.. But I’m still gonna watch this. 🙂
Trent Palmer- "I can’t just fly the aircraft and I can’t just operate the camera, it’s just too much!" also Trent Palmer- "I highly recommend that you spend the time to practice and develop your skillset." me thinks he should take his own advice…
My dad self built his modular drone. He’s put so much time, perseverance and dedication into it I’m beyond proud, his talent and passion is admirable. It would mean the world to him if you checked it out on his new YouTube page https://youtu.be/QdSZ_rnPVss Thank you 🦣
Ok! Even a pro feels it’s a bit much to fly a Mavic 2 Pro, it’s not just me. Though here’s something. The Smart Controller will tether another Smart Controller. So you can pilot and your camera person can do the camera-ing. I’m sure this is achieved by either cable or bluetooth. I thought this feature handy while studying for my pilot test; RPIC, and operator both have to have controllers. Could work in Cinema..
DJI also has something more like your professional drone.
IMPORTANT!-
Remember guys, this video IS compressed! – Not only that, but you likely do not have a sufficient monitor to view this footage fully. Therefore the footages coming from these drones look virtually the same. I can assure you that the footage from the Alta is much better.
hey this is a very nice 🎥 movie. Greetings Pixxelfly Drone Filmmaker & Photography 😉😉👍🏼
this is like comparing a RHIB to a Carrier and asking which has more capabilities lol
Your not professional but keep dreaming
I feel you at least in this review is apple to orange and when comparing nearly the top-of-the-line equipment to entry level equipment is exactly that. The Mavic two pro and the Mavic to zoom does allow for dual control one for flying the drone one for operating the gimbal in the camera. Mavic two pro also gives you 4K 30 frames per second at 10 bit saturation for color with a dialogue which is good for post production I agree with you that each tool has a place and I use but I felt you were being extremely negative almost defending your position which I don’t think he’s your norm. From what I’ve seen of your blogs the product of your efforts you are true professional I just don’t feel that you gave the Mavic two A fair review
5:52 could have been worse
You’re taking this waaaay to serious bro… you’re talking about a consumer/prosumer vs a custom made movie drone…I guess I need to get rid of my iPhone pro max since I only use it for Instagram and YouTube?
Here’s a list that helped me out.
"whinyl.com/bdrones-guide/
In the end, I went with #4.

I wonder if this guy needs a navigator to go to the grocery store
Notice the shots he did with the Mavic, he never got close up Shots. This is very biased. Of course the Alta is far better, but for his samples, the Mavic could do all of that.
Is it really considered a cinema drone if you have to attach a third party camera to it?
Thanks for your time. Have been using drone pilots in the latest movie “Room 9”. Thinking of getting a license for drones. Have my Ham license. I use to fly in high school with CAP. 74 now and am limited on what I can do. RWB
Awesome Trent!
it’s always been a dream of mine to give up Plumbing and shoot some footage for the movies 🎥. Love the review mate 👍
I don’t have the situational awareness with the Mavic 2 pro. Also The professional crashed his professional cinema drone in to the truck. Dude instead of criticing Mavic 2 pro ask your supplier to include obstacle avoidance option in your pro camera. N stick to your flying.
you should have compared it with the inspire 2 at least
That was the most important part was the last statement was the price
I need a drone🔥🔥🔥⚡️
Watching this video dreaming to have a drone someday 🥺🥺♥️
May of knicked the truck but hell of a shot haha whatever it takes !!!!
I agree with most of the comments. Great vid and info (I loved it) but you cannot compare the two. As for "Pro" – who cares? I suggest reading the specs will tell you what you need, rather than the name.
فاك يو
https://youtu.be/dpPw3A8CRaY?t=159 What is the name of that song? It is stunning!
Yeah you are showing us what real PRO is like, wow I had no idea. This is cool and valuable information.
Hey big fan, however I do have to correct you. It turns out you can setup a second controller for camera functions in dual controller mode under radio controller (refer to user manual on dji site)
So are we like.. just going to ignore the fact that the l antennas on the remote look like a giant hand trying to grab your face and rip it off?
that big real cinematic drone its dji matrice 600 i love dji drones you guys like this if you love the dji drone too
100 thousand dollar drone vs 1500 hundred dollar drone nice comparison lol
I find you to be the least impressive and informative video on YouTube I’ve ever watched in my entire life-and I’ve watched some shite!, what made you consider showing a video like this comparing two completely different products and even showing ineptitude at your own job a good idea. I’m by no way entitled or even well off but at least I’m not a precious idiot!!!
I have a few comments but first I’d like to say the video was great and very informational. I do think that the Mavic 2 pro and the Cinema setup aren’t really comparable. I do agree that the world "pro" is overused but I think that is for advertisement. I don’t really think it is fair to compare the cinema setup with the Mavic because the Cinema setup is designed for much more professional filming purposes. I think the Cinema setup has and unfair advantage to the Mavic pro.
Trent. Even though you work mostly as a drone pilot, rather than a camera operator, you might want to join The Society of Camera Operators, a Hollywood organization for studio camera operators. By joining and becoming active within the organization your network will grow. This is one of the best portals to use to become a mainstream Hollywood Drone operator.
Keep up your great and quality content coming.

Different kinda shots with both drone…not fair mahn…do some same shots to compair😏😏😏
Give me your whasapp number
This is why i think that you should spend about 100k in PRO gear instead of 1,500 in a normal person drone
Wow! That was amazing! My dream, to have one kind of drone. Any kind.. I love it.!
Always watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
i feel like this is his way of telling us that he is better.
I’M PrOfFeSiOnAl
that is a huge drone and i think your wallet might need a little help.
take care
Idiot.
Comparing two different things and than flies his drone into a truck
I am a professional drone op as well, meaning I am paid to shoot videos and images with a drone and I am licensed by the FAA, the pro level drone is whatever you have at hand. That’s like saying your a race car driver because your driving a lambo. I pro should be able to pick up any piece of gear and use it to its fullest potential. IMO
Did it all start with "Paint Shop Pro" all those years ago?
Thats what I’m just starting to do is practice and begin my skill set in a new type of photography and production techniques. Great video!
Is it $98,000ish better though…
