DJI Phantom 4 – DRONE LIGHTS

DJI Phantom 4 – DRONE LIGHTS

Ken tested a remote-controlled set of Phantom 4 drone lights!
They clip-on to the P4 legs and are VERY bright! (3900 LUX)
Check out the video and get a set of lights for your particular model of drone at: http://www.mydronelight.com/

NOTE: You must disable the VPS (Sonic Sensors) on the bottom of your P4 or P3 drone. Battery placement blocks the sensors. However, flying without the Visual Positioning Sensors is perfectly fine. GPS and Collision Avoidance still works.un fortunately, at the time of posting, DJI won’t let you disable the VPS on the P4. Apparently, the quick-fix is a bit of electrical tape over the two sensors. Here’s a great video explaination: https://youtu.be/u9h_PrYXiVc

does the 9 volt battery location block the bottom sensors on the phantom 4 pro?

I’m sorry but the website that sells this kit seems a bit dodgy. Alot misspelling on the site too. These kits appear to be cheap Ebay LED kits with the price jacked up, I can tell from the remotes. Wonderful LED kits, but way overpriced for what they are.

Do you switch back and forth between your drone app and the lume app? Or do you use an extra phone for the lights?

  8. Jerrys Productions on February 29, 2020 at 2:58 am

How much do they cost and what happens to the sensors at the bottom

  9. Dutch Rice on February 29, 2020 at 2:58 am

    Ken,
With your endorsement I bought some lights for my P4 from My Drone Lights.
I am having troubles with them (the lights) and getting "My Drone Lights" to respond to several phone call to the (818) 669-0851 number.
I’m not asking that you guarantee them or get them fix’d. Maybe you could en-lighten me on how to better get in touch with them. I have several night shoots coming up and need them to work…

I have a light that’s mounted on the bottom of my phantom 3 .. it has a separate switch that turns it on. too bad it’s not by remote. It’s a L.E.D light. It’s powered by the drone’ s battery

  20. Walter Erickson on February 29, 2020 at 3:11 am

I hate to tell everyone but if your watching this I would not try ordering from mydronelight. They’re a huge rip off that will take your money and never send the lights. They’ll even play games with you through email making you believe they are sending it and say things like " Did you get the tracking number I sent you?" while they never actually sent one. I was able to recover my money through PayPal for almost $100. They even went as far as to send PayPal a tracking number but then never intended to send out the lights. PayPal caught on and refunding my money. Please don’t get scammed!!!! This is a horrible person ripping people off who just want to enjoy there hobby. I also feel bad for this guy who posted the video he seems like a good guy.

  25. the undead1 on February 29, 2020 at 3:15 am

I’ve had nav lights on my sport cub , night flying is a blast. Great video.

  26. D9everything on February 29, 2020 at 3:15 am

Too bad we can’t fly at night without a waiver. Shouldn’t have to worry about getting caught, though. It’s not like you’re blaring some giant, bright lights to attract attention and give you away. (Great video, though! Well done.)
