I think that it is really strange that DJI is planning to launch its own FPV Quad. They would have to cover so much ground to keep up with Custom or BNF versions. The frame must be very strong, spare parts must be easily available in large quantities. The whole tuning topic is another ground to be covered with an application like Betaflight, Kiss, Flightone or Emu. I would be highly impressed if they could manage to put all this in one package and in their own ecosystem. Then thwee are bramds like Eachine, iFlight, GepRC quads which are already pretty cheap for what you get and they can be upgraded. I just have a hard time to believe that they can release a successful product in this one package that you could buy in your regular electronic store. It will be very interesting to see what they come up with. 🙂 I would call it the ‘Acrobat’ so they can separate it from their standard camera quads. ✌️

  2. Will4Real on November 26, 2020 at 9:16 pm

Technically "S" is how many series circuits there are. It just usually ends up being one cell per series circuit.

  3. James Ramsey on November 26, 2020 at 9:18 pm

Dont forget firmware is out there to limit motor max spd so you can safely use 6s on higher kv, also 4s on low kv motors isn’t exactly punchy but is great for smaller spaces and proximity.

  4. BigLittleBirdie on November 26, 2020 at 9:19 pm

Great video. Interested to see what they come out with. Hopefully lot easier to fly than standard FPV drone.

  5. FriendlyNomad on November 26, 2020 at 9:21 pm

It’s all totally plausible. DJI has done it before:

  6. Ryszard Pozarycki on November 26, 2020 at 9:21 pm

Nice!! FMIF DJI drone? Soon as I can handle flying my little Air 2 without smashing into a churc spire 🙈🙈🙈 will have to look at stepping up the pace for fun 👍👍💥😷…..(FMIF…. F#%¥ Me It’s Fast)

  7. Game Of Drones on November 26, 2020 at 9:22 pm

I would name it the Dji Phoenix

  8. Gene Fox Green Mountain Droning on November 26, 2020 at 9:28 pm

Thanks for the great information but being dji it probably will be expensive it would be a great starter drone I don’t thank I would be that good at sodding lol I thank dji sport

  9. Jorge Romero on November 26, 2020 at 9:30 pm

8:00 if you install inav you can have all GPS goodies

  10. craig goffena on November 26, 2020 at 9:31 pm

Thanks for the content. I’m thinking about building my own cinewhoop instead of going full race drone. Think this dog getting too old for that much speed lol

  11. thane v on November 26, 2020 at 9:33 pm

Very interesting theories. I would be very interested in a high performance version with Care Refresh….As for the FPV aspect, it would probably be proprietary FPV goggles only, which would be somewhat limiting due to cost,I believe..Handling of VLOS rules would be interesting.

  12. James Ramsey on November 26, 2020 at 9:33 pm

Also did you know dji have already sold FPV hardware like motors, props and speed controllers, they where called snail or something

  13. Cyumadbro summit on November 26, 2020 at 9:34 pm

Seems pointless. DJI already has an FPV system that goes for miles already sold in dozens of BNF quads (for less than $500) that’ll blow this thing out of the water. All BNF drones are programed, zero building needed just slap a Lipo in and go. Typical people who buy Mavics and Phantoms want the training wheels and safety nets not ACRO mode anyway.

  14. The Dro on November 26, 2020 at 9:34 pm

Now if they’ll only release the firmware update for the fpv Goggles to be able to stream the footage to an hdmi out or at least a dongle. 700 dollars for a new transmitter is a ridiculous solution!

  15. Fred Morton on November 26, 2020 at 9:36 pm

The thing I love about DJI is that in their ecosystem, everything fits together as one. No having to screw around with Betaflight, pick your motors, esc, FC, receiver-it’s all put together and made to work together. You know what you’re getting, and how it works. My Phantom 4 Pro + is like that-it simply works. If I take care of it and excercise reasonable care with how and where I fly, I’m in for a good experience.

On the other hand, there are those that have the time and aptitutde to dig down deep into which flight controller works best with which ESC, video tx, etc. Put the quad together and then go into Betaflight and setting up each individual system until it runs the way you want it to. But boy howdy, is it time consuming and frustrating! Besides the Phantom, I also own a couple of Horizon Hobby "tiny whoops" (Inductrix and Inductrix FPV+). They’re small, very easy to set up and I can get anywhere between 3-5 minutes out of them. If I crash (and I do), they’re easy to fix. A DJI racing drone? One good crash and you’re in trouble!

There are those of us that would simply love to put the quad up in the air, and fly. I’ve noticed that DJI does sell "racing" components and has done so for at least two years. It’s called the "Snail" system. Motors, ESCs, etc. If this "racing drone" is for real, then some of the Snail components may be a part of that. To my knowledge, they do not sell any "racing" frames. But a racer with the DJI HD system would be awsome. But given its price, only the well heeled could afford it. Anyway, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I imagine the closer we get to Christmas, the more we’ll start hearing the official line from DJI. It’ll be interesting to see how all of this shakes out.

  16. Quadcopterguide on November 26, 2020 at 9:36 pm

What do you think about the DJI Mavic FPV Racing Drone? Would this entice you to try FPV? Let me know!

  17. Mark Williams on November 26, 2020 at 9:37 pm

I think this is DJI building a product that will likely be compatible and fully compliant with the coming FAA Remote ID rule that will make every current home built or ready to fly FPV drone kit illegal without RID.. (not that RID will actually make people stop flying their illegal rigs once RID becomes federal law) the FPV community has always been somewhat in the grey or on the fringe (legally anyway..)

  18. Filipe D on November 26, 2020 at 9:38 pm

Hi Felix. Looking forward to see what comes up from DJI. Wouldn’t be nice to have something can could do both FPV freestyle and smooth video like a magic? Maybe with a detachable gimbal.

  19. Game Of Drones on November 26, 2020 at 9:39 pm

That would or will be pretty cool. Thanks for sharing what you know

  20. frankyboi45 on November 26, 2020 at 9:40 pm

When you talk about the images leave them a lil longer… instead of back to your face. No pun intended.

  21. Adriano Casemiro on November 26, 2020 at 9:40 pm

You’re gonna need new proprietary controller, batteries, not going to be able to fix it after a crash… I don’t know if it’s a good proposition.

For it’s name, how about DJI Mavic Extemely Expensive edition?

  22. Nestor Fernández on November 26, 2020 at 9:43 pm

    Dude this is ridiculous lol
Who cares and to be honest FPV pilots Prefer build instead of buy RTF. Cabers integrated on from or bottom is impossible in a Florida v drone. Plus if this is real at least they will have a native osmo action mount fir obviously reason and of course this shit doesn’t look like a fpv drone. I don’t see any air unite there 🙄

  23. DEWDNEYANIMALHOSP on November 26, 2020 at 9:47 pm

Love trademark searches. DJI agile maybe?

  24. thehexter1 on November 26, 2020 at 9:47 pm

Think it’ll be call the "DJI Empty Your Wallet" FPV drone as it will require one to buy all of their gear to make it work. I’m afraid I won’t be joining that line-up to buy any time soon. 🙂

  25. Charles Wall on November 26, 2020 at 9:48 pm

    Best Name, DJI Jealous
    I love Hate love hate
    I mean u can’t not Respect them
    Fitting u or I can’t AFFORD THEM

  26. Gregory Gutmann on November 26, 2020 at 9:51 pm

6S is not necessarily larger. 4S and 6S batteries could be the same size (dimensions) but would have different mAh if so, but similar Wh. So the 6S battery may not be larger. But the motors for 4S and 6S would likely be different, as you said electronics may differ.

  27. Mo' Gas on November 26, 2020 at 9:52 pm

    Will be very expensive…

  28. TYPE xxi - WOLF on November 26, 2020 at 9:53 pm

    that pic is weeks old

  29. nidoge on November 26, 2020 at 9:53 pm

Hey man, great video. I’m looking to get into FPV, do you think it’s worth the investment for the FPV system like the controller and goggles? or do you think that will be updated once this rumoured dji FPV drone comes out (I will definitely be getting this DJI Fpv drone for a full DJI system)

  30. Kai on November 26, 2020 at 9:53 pm

    Gotta love them rumors!!

  31. IRMMZ 1 on November 26, 2020 at 9:54 pm

Why are they not making anymore phantoms? The last 3 or 4 drones were all mavic…

  32. jakerecords on November 26, 2020 at 9:54 pm

If its true I will buy one. I hope it modular. Would also love tonsee more race league in the mainstream.

  33. PixelcounterFPV on November 26, 2020 at 9:54 pm

Nice video my friend. Thumps up from Germany.

  34. Nicolas Tartaras on November 26, 2020 at 9:54 pm

This looks really good. I would buy it if its not too expensive. The info is really appreciated!!!

  35. ARD's Corner on November 26, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Another fine leak video. Your previous leaks have been on the money so it should be a reality

  36. Gaetan H on November 26, 2020 at 9:58 pm

If you want to compare batteries, compare the amount of energy each pack can deliver i.e watt hour. At same mah, a 6s pack can deliver more energy than a 4s because power = voltage * current, hence the bigger size. Also 6s would give more punch to a drone if using the same motor as the 4s one just because motors are rotating a certain amount per volt (kv), so with higher voltage on 6s, the drone will be faster. However motors for 4s and 6s are generally different. The advantage of 6s over 4s is just a more consistent power delivery (less voltage sag), nothing to do with power since the drone hardware would be different.

  37. Noel Pons on November 26, 2020 at 10:01 pm

    Hi felix.

    3 months later. Nothing.

  39. Chris Hope on November 26, 2020 at 10:05 pm

Thanks buddy. Usually rumors are true.

  40. Sheersy29 on November 26, 2020 at 10:08 pm

Yes this is quite interesting I was talking to a DJI employee recently and he speculated that they were working on an FPV drone but wouldn’t be replacing or coming out with v2 goggles get. 🤔👍🏻

  41. Burnt Rice on November 26, 2020 at 10:11 pm

I’ve held off buying a DJI flying camera. Because I’d get bored.
But I’d definitely but a DJI FPV Sport Drone. IF it doesn’t require the additional purchase of $550 goggles or the prerequisite of owning a $1000 premium flagship phone.

  42. James Ramsey on November 26, 2020 at 10:12 pm

Also why would they use the mavic name it really doesn’t sound right to me?
