Can I use it to search for my neighbor’s weed patches? It’s pretty rough country here and there is just too much acreage to search on foot, but I owe that bastard for setting my cat on fire and shitting on my porch

Your logo looks like Private Bank in Ukraine

Damn you 51 Drones 🤣 my next planned purchase just got quite a bit more expensive

  4. Gary Stewart on June 16, 2022 at 7:08 pm

Great idea. I’m at the point now though were I have to figure out how to get funding to even get started.

    Dam good video TY

  6. Brody Swearingen on June 16, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Do you need to use a 3d model software like Drone Deploy or DJI terra to do this?

  7. Robert Bondar on June 16, 2022 at 7:13 pm

What do you do if you’re surveying a business that is within the airport restriction air space?

  8. ForTheLoveOfMusicAndPeople on June 16, 2022 at 7:13 pm

This dronebase app is pretty buggy. It’s saying a mini 3 needs a camera attached to it if you use a mini 3 in your profile, but a mini 3 has a camera… And it’s not accepting a profile picture or the picture upload of the license.

Can I do this in Europe?

Does this job require one of them FFA tests in order to make money with a drone.

    Don‘t buy Chinese drone

  13. Firm B on June 16, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Do you need to have a Mavic 2 Enterprise to do this kind of work? I have a Mavic Air 2 and don’t see why that wouldn’t be adequate minus the thermal capabilities

  14. Dave Grenier on June 16, 2022 at 7:22 pm

Commenting to get a video about the DJI Pilot App. I’m only 3:30 minutes in so I can’t say anything else about the video, lol. You’re always great, though! 🙂

Hello, I enjoy your channel. I recently subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos from you. I will retire from Law Enforcement. This Friday will be my last day. I do have my UAS 107 license. The drone I have does not qualify me to receive jobs from drone base. The minimum requirements are as follows.

Must operate at minimum a 12 MP DJI Drone/Sensor.
20 MP Preferred (Some customers only allow 20 MP – very few allow 12 MP).
Requirements vary between missions – please review mission-specific details.
Mavic Air, Mini, Mini 2, and Spark are not approved for client missions.
Mavic Air 2/2S and Mavic 3 are approved for missions that don’t require an automated flight.

What DJI platforms do you recommend to include Flir technology to meet these requirements

Thank you for your time, Keep up the great work!

How to find this thermal pilot courses?

  17. Frank M on June 16, 2022 at 7:27 pm

Well done Russ. Thank you so much. Spot on with everything you suggest. Can’t wait to get started.

  18. Storyfirst Films on June 16, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Do you think a lot of surveying and engineering companies would do this themselves?

  19. Mario Lorío on June 16, 2022 at 7:29 pm

Nice video and thank you for sharing, can you be able to use a mini 2 to do rooftop inspection or it have to be the mavic 2 enterprise only. Looking to get into this as a side hustle money 😁

  20. diggerlenox on June 16, 2022 at 7:34 pm

This drone cannot save zoomed in pictures be aware.

  21. Matt Raymond on June 16, 2022 at 7:35 pm

what are the thermal rates ? Drone Base $98 photos does not cover travel and commercial drone insurance. Is thermal more viable?

  22. RE Styles on June 16, 2022 at 7:35 pm

I spent a lot of time (1yr) demonstrating these ideas just to have the folks I educated purchase the drones for themselves. Seems as though this video as presented is either disingenuous or the technology is too early in a regulatory perspective to truly support an advanced drone business in most areas of the US.

  23. Aason Than on June 16, 2022 at 7:37 pm

How would you go about checking if there is a local demand for such said services?

  24. Taylor Bowen on June 16, 2022 at 7:37 pm

Hey. I gotta say that I loved the video. The way you talk about all the opportunities really made me excited. Thanks man.

  26. Scott & Denise on June 16, 2022 at 7:37 pm

    Hello Russ,

Thank you for your informative video. It helps put the option in perspective and brought up other ideas as well. Did you ever find that “ear” that would listen to what you had to say?

  27. Rum Have on June 16, 2022 at 7:39 pm

Anyone tried to use this for photogrammetry?

You’re forgetting a big one: mountain rescue, lost climbers, avalanche survivors etc. Finding new climbing routes on big mountains, lots of outdoor opportunities & security capabilities.

great info looking for a service liker this in australia

  31. Dana Williams on June 16, 2022 at 7:41 pm

Can you answer a question for me? When you take a panorama with the M2EA using Pilot are both regular images and IR images taken? Are those images automatically stitched into a spherical panorama as in the Mavic 2 Pro using DJI Go4? Thanks!

  32. KJ Yungg on June 16, 2022 at 7:42 pm

This is very interesting, thanks for the insightful information and excellent presentation. Funny, I work remotely in Customer Success for a tech company and love my job but I’ve been looking for a cool side gig and I think this could be it! Now to chose a drone, the certification for thermal readings look very intriguing.

  33. Budman racing on June 16, 2022 at 7:43 pm

So where do you get contracts for this? I wouldn’t even know where to start but I’d love to do this!

  34. Kayak and Bike Exploring Ontario on June 16, 2022 at 7:43 pm

I think State wildlife management doesn’t want to risk you accidentally getting video footage of a 8ft tall, 8050lb cryptid roaming a park at night.

  35. Richard Duke on June 16, 2022 at 7:48 pm

As a retired , but motivated , person , this sounds very interesting 🤔 😏. Just needs a little imagination as to how to get started ! Interested !

  36. Matt P on June 16, 2022 at 7:48 pm

I live in a very small town in southern Texas. My local police department has come to me two times in the last two months to fly my drone looking for illegal migrants that fled a vehicle. Both times I’ve done it to help them out but I should really consider starting something like this up

  37. Cleve Tidwell on June 16, 2022 at 7:48 pm

Not sure it is worth it. What is the point of the "thermal camera" which can not record any thermal info in any file???
If this is really the case why would we buy it? No radiometric in JPEG thermal is a useless thermal, isn’t it? Seems DJI trying to force us up to the Matric and better Thermal camera. Or buy a different drone all very expensive options just to do HVAC or roof inspections that don’t pay much. Little confusing. Comments please if I am missing something. thanks

  38. PhoenixRise on June 16, 2022 at 7:48 pm

Hey Russ, I am getting into the drone industry and am going to start with local roof inspections. My question is would my current drone inventory be sufficient enough to get the job done or should I invest in a drone with thermal imaging (like the enterprise advanced)? I have the DJI Mavic 3 and DJI Mini 2. Please let me know. Thanks!

  39. Roberto Tamesis on June 16, 2022 at 7:50 pm

Ladar or Lidar drones have existed few years ago . Just recently I watched National Geographic do land mapping areas central America and South America , it doesn’t have to be Dji always. Ordinary drones 4-years back began experimenting the apps of ultrasonic ,and infrared cameras most of those companies were not DJI . Most of those drones are expensive one. If I can find a programmer I manipulate a ordinary UPair drone that has several ultrasonic sensors within the 3-axis camera head.

  40. Ed’s Journey on June 16, 2022 at 7:52 pm

So I’ll need my part 107 license correct?

  41. davis2022 on June 16, 2022 at 7:53 pm

$100-200??? Criminy! It’s $100 just to show up. These jobs must be getting to Dronebase four layers of subs below the end customer. Can’t make money that way.

  42. Budman racing on June 16, 2022 at 7:54 pm

    WOW. That drone costs 7k!

  43. CB on June 16, 2022 at 7:55 pm

Yes I’d like to see the DJI demo you mentioned?

  44. Delta9SFBay on June 16, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Does DroneBase still take a HUGE cut?

  45. Eli Rosales on June 16, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Why are you taking pictures manually? There’s software that automates that

  46. Cory Mc on June 16, 2022 at 7:57 pm

My dad has a Mavic Air 2, and he got his drone license too. I’ve been trying to find ways to make money with it, have you any information on what I can do, or where to start with that?

  47. Robert Anthony Photography on June 16, 2022 at 7:57 pm

This is outstanding. As a professional photographer who owns a flower business…in the incredibly busy market of Central Florida, I am looking for a way to perhaps transition my life to something new. I love my time flying and doing landscape photography with my drone. I am encouraged and excited to look at the possibility of making extra income and this will work. Thanks for the huge amount of time and effort you have put into this video. As a creator of a less than successful channel, I can really appreciate the intense amount of work and time that goes into putting content together. I wish you much future success.

  48. Ryan Robinson on June 16, 2022 at 7:58 pm

Now drones are getting too specialized and only available for people with money, which is why you mostly see only good ole American boys in this industry
