I was recently trying to fly in a restricted area that didn’t have cell coverage. I got laanc approval through aloft beforehand but when I tried to fly, DJI fly wouldn’t let me take off. Is that because I didn’t unlock the zone? I assumed that by getting the laanc approval it would allow the DJI fly app to let me take off. So is aloft and the DJI fly app completely unrelated? I expected the zone I requested in aloft to transfer.

FYI your phone number show’s on the video even though you tried to block it. Just wanted to let you know.

  27. Ernesto Powers on July 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Do you still need to request permission in the middle of no where with no restricted air space?

  28. Juicy Drones on July 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

where you say the three place you unlock you submit them .when it ask the question what pop up is phots i took before

  29. Bob Burkett on July 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Nice job. I was out today and LAANC would not authorize a request because it is uncontrolled airspace and therefore not necessary. So why would DJI label the airspace as restricted and require an unlock?
