This is part 1 of my human flying drone project! In this video, I explain the plan, build the frame, and test out one of the motors. This drone will eventually be able to lift over 200lbs allowing it to carry a human and become a personal flying car!! Do not attempt this yourself, enjoy!

  4. 卩ㄖㄥ卂尺 on November 16, 2021 at 9:41 am

which engine did you use ??

  5. Vancley Neves on November 16, 2021 at 9:41 am

The power of the engines are not appropriate for these propellers, decrease the propeller by 10%, increase the distance from the ground, and if possible, increase the distance from the geometric center of the structure, if necessary, add more engines, but always install at the ends. The ideal power for this project would be 4 engines from 25kw to 30kw, which allows a load capacity of 150 kg (structure and pilot)

    How much amount of motors

  10. Jeffrey Kemper on November 16, 2021 at 9:45 am

I want to build one but much differently.
I want to use a large volume hydraulic pump to power very low volume hydraulic motors.
But as for rotors I want to use 6 bladed 36" or 72" ultralight props that are adjustable for pitch.

I believe 5 props total to be used.

    4 for lifting
1 for pushing or pulling ( forwards or backwards!)

I want to use a 20 hp engine to power a 28 gpm pump.
Which will power the 5 low volume hydraulic motors each. (0.5 g.p.m.)

The hydraulic. Fluid might have to be in a rubber bladder resivoir in case of stunt flying.
I believe I will need 3 sets of controls just for hydraulic systems alone.

I should be able to do it in a enclosed cabin for 2 or 4 people.

But I would definitely have the rotors up higher so people do not walk into the rotors or in case they broke and parts go flying.
Definely want a parachute for the unit and the riders too.

    Wow

  20. Jeffrey Kemper on November 16, 2021 at 9:59 am

I see you assembled it with regular nuts and bolts and no welding.

    Bad idea.
Joints should be welded together or bolted together with nylok nuts for antivibration issues.
Regular nuts will work their way lose and it will make you crash or get killed!
