I got retractible landing gear and a monster gimbal for mine good luck. Cheers

  2. James Fisher on July 25, 2020 at 7:24 am

    Is this worth it

  3. John Sammons on July 25, 2020 at 7:25 am

This is what I was waiting for! Just cant wait !!!

  5. ryan todd on July 25, 2020 at 7:27 am

I recommend you consider the eagle tree vector FC, GPS, OSD kit. Before I switched over to flying mini quads, I built several camera platforms and I’ve tried several control systems. In my experience eagle tree is the easiest to install, setup and achieve smooth flight quickly unless you want to spend big money on a professional system. Good luck, shoot me a message on patreon if you need any help.

  6. Bob Zittlow on July 25, 2020 at 7:28 am

Would like to see this wth Matek 722std and inav.

  7. TeeSCee on July 25, 2020 at 7:28 am

Don’t buy a session gimbal. You can’t get live video out from a session so you can’t tell what your gopro is looking at. User 4S (5S would be even better) batteris if you uses ~800kv motors and 10" props.

  8. Pinto on July 25, 2020 at 7:29 am

Awesome. Looking forward for that build, flight, mod, etc 😛

I started out with Cheerson CX-20 GPS quad (also branded as a Quanum Nova) before getting into FPV, it’s a great quad (I now have 3!) and people have upgraded theirs by replacing the APM FC with a PixHawk, and the ones I’ve seen on RCGroups who have done so have all had positive things to say about the craft after the upgrade.
Battery wise, I’ve been mostly flying with 2200 – 2700mAh 3S’s and get about 6-8 minutes with camera+gimbal 1.2kg AUW, whereas the Quanum Nova Pro with a 5200mAh 3S gets up to 25 minutes flight time (without camera+gimbal obviously)

  11. Mark Lang on July 25, 2020 at 7:31 am

Interesting, I’m looking forward to see how this project goes. I decided to try the cheapest way and I’m building an ugly wooden prototype 500 size h-frame with 2212 motors, 10" props and INav, just to see how this works. I have an eye on that 60$ walkera gimbal to add on later. Omnibus F3 has just enough uarts to add gps and a 3dr radio, no pins left for a gimbal, but I can use blheli_s escs, with ardupilot you need to get simonk escs, newer protocols are not implemented.

  12. Peter Hubregsen on July 25, 2020 at 7:33 am

    For a gimbal try a Tarrot T-3D and a gopro 4.

  13. James Roth on July 25, 2020 at 7:33 am

Just a heads up, I noticed that the Holybro kit only comes with one telemetry module. The hexacopter kit seems like a good value.

  14. Jim Griffin on July 25, 2020 at 7:38 am

Motor Size would be a 2216, Battery Size needed for a decent Flight would be Between 4500 – 7000 3S would be more efficient, could go 4S.

  15. emil gabl on July 25, 2020 at 7:39 am

    good job

  16. Daniël Vegter on July 25, 2020 at 7:41 am

    have you made it already?

  17. MC's Creations on July 25, 2020 at 7:41 am

Just one thing: bullet connectors are HORRIBLE for fpv. They generate too much noise!

  18. E * on July 25, 2020 at 7:41 am

Get the ECUAV esc fc vtx combo for only $100 and test PLEASE!!

  19. licensetodrive on July 25, 2020 at 7:42 am

Perhaps the best 3-axis gimbal for a multirotor to carry a sportcam is the Zhiyun-tech Z1 Tiny2, it wasn’t cheap but it’s rock steady: I instantly bought another one when my first got damaged in a crash – battery failure 🙁
Sadly they discontinued it, but there is a rebadged one still being sold on AliExpress, search for: hubsan 3 axis gimbal

  20. dwpetty3723 on July 25, 2020 at 7:43 am

Make sure you balance those 10" props.

  25. Megaglow Z on July 25, 2020 at 7:46 am

Looking forward to this build! I have a qrx350pro that has all custom parts that I would love to swap over to a platform like this. Don’t leave anything you do out man lol.

  26. Justin Delpero on July 25, 2020 at 7:47 am

Go iNav 😀 with a omnibus f4pro! Lighter and closer to what you already know best…Pretty mad deal really. Hope it flies well!

  27. coreyman0 on July 25, 2020 at 7:48 am

What shipping u use that was quick

  28. sammichael25 on July 25, 2020 at 7:49 am

please do an inav build!!! Possibly with the matek f405 Aio or Ctr

  29. Ehrar Shariff on July 25, 2020 at 7:49 am

how about using a pixhawk from radiolink

  30. UgpFpv on July 25, 2020 at 7:54 am

This brings back memories… Couple of things. You usually use a couple of carbon fiber tubes to mount the gimbal and battery, mounted right under the main plate that way you can slide the gimbal and battery to balance things. The other thing to watch for is sometimes depending on the gimbal the prop wash can effect it so even though it would be nice to get the camera more out front to get the props out of view, it may cause problems. I used to use some of the 3s 5400 mah multistar low c batteries and got 15 minutes on my Quadcopter but for that I would deff go with a 4s and even higher mah. There’s some good calculators online to help with battery size and flight time.

  31. MC's Creations on July 25, 2020 at 7:54 am

Really nice, dude! I’m going to build a "TBS Discovery" kind of quad (the frame is a bit different and cheaper)… But I’m going to use the DJI NAZA Lite, really. Much easier to set up. 😊

  32. D S on July 25, 2020 at 7:54 am

That’s a lot of kit for the money I look forward to seeing this built it’s going to be massive

  33. JoeDoe_ Outdoors on July 25, 2020 at 7:54 am

Hei great channel ☺ Keep it up!

  34. Jeremy Marano on July 25, 2020 at 7:55 am

is it pwm? kinda cool gonna be a massive build looks like a fun

  35. JohnnyD RC on July 25, 2020 at 7:56 am

I don’t know I’m undecided multi or more than 4 motors I’m not really don’t care for, But if that’s what you like go for it JohnnyDRC

  36. Rune Offerdal on July 25, 2020 at 7:56 am

Any plans for this build? I’d love to learn from your experience.

  37. sammichael25 on July 25, 2020 at 7:58 am

5000 mah is around the standard for imaging rigs

  38. GrumpStump on July 25, 2020 at 8:01 am

OOOOOOOO! I want!!! Can’t wait to see it built, and in action! Thanks for the video!!!

  39. TechGuy on July 25, 2020 at 8:02 am

Sub’d for this build. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive big camera copter.
Could you weigh the components and give the prop specs so I can order spares ?

  40. Kris Kraanen on July 25, 2020 at 8:05 am

When is the drone build video out waiting for soo long and would really love to see it

  41. Kris Kraanen on July 25, 2020 at 8:11 am

When will you release a video where show us your completed build, been waiting some time now and im really excited for it

  42. Nadoushka Uta on July 25, 2020 at 8:12 am

    Amazing kit😍👍

  43. Matthew Emillio on July 25, 2020 at 8:14 am

Nice frame, It sucks it does not have the payload bars. I built a 550mm quad with the pixhawk that was supposed to be used for a camera platform, but i abandoned it temporarily since its quite expensive for the gimbal, camera and fpv. 🙁 I’m excited to see this build though. I personally used the pixhawk/ pixracer, and i do like it.

  44. Drone Xcursion on July 25, 2020 at 8:14 am

will definitely keep up with you on this build. just bought a guys old lumenier hexacopter and will probably do a rebuild on it. never had a big drone like this before.

  45. Buzz Cola on July 25, 2020 at 8:16 am

    Cheap as frig !

  46. Canyon Racer on July 25, 2020 at 8:16 am

I’m looking to build a large dedicated recovery drone, how about a recovery attachment:-)

  47. remains memories on July 25, 2020 at 8:18 am

You actualy can put 4s there if esc support 4s. I am flying with this motors at 4s without any problems at 10" props. And about batery: you should try 4s 5000-6000mah, for my quadrocopter 5200 4s works perfect

  48. osheathedj on July 25, 2020 at 8:19 am

May want to look up the pronunciation of Tarot and Holybro. Otherwise, cool vids.

  49. John GREEN Ferguson on July 25, 2020 at 8:20 am
