Conflict has a strange way of connecting contradictory issues; the Armenia- Azerbaijan war in the Black Mountains has timed itself with a debate raging in the UK regarding the future of the tank.

You talk about high cost several times in the video, but the Abrams MBT cost about 9 million and the predator drone cost about 64 million!

As long as infantry are still needed so will armored vehicles…drones cant win wars.

I think some companies are probably experimenting with Drone Defense systems.. (I am not talking about net guns to shoot down 1 drone, but defense against swarm drone attacks).. Probably some kind of beam based weapons to disrupt and cripple drones…

For those getting into the military, make sure you gun for a position as a remote control operator…stay way back in the rear with the gear.

The contemporary battle field is full of electronic warfare’s, the radio controlled drone’s and rackets are wrapped in boxes, except Armenia of course during last Nagornyj Karabach conflict.

All battle ships are a joke. They are all still floating because they agreed not to touch each other fleet.

Adrenaline pumping high-speed search and destroy. A well written and enjoyable book with historical facts. Highly recommend!!!

Funny how tanks are obsolete due to drones yet we keep building overpriced aircraft carriers.

  17. Trevor Or on May 19, 2021 at 3:05 am

Without drone hunting drones or ways of detecting them and shooting them down a battle field is now a very VERY scary place. And that’s only going to get worse and smaller. And coming to a town near you all that and controlled by A I what fun

Chariots were the tanks of the Bronze Age, which was ended by the highly mobile and aggressive sea people who fought from explosive groups fluidly both as individuals and as a unit. Tanks can be vulnerable but when used in combined operations they can form the steel tip of the arrow or essential backbone of a defensive strategy. As through all history, every weapon and weapons system has its place in the artful skill of managing the battlefield.

  20. MARTIN WOOD on May 19, 2021 at 3:09 am

Anyone who thinks the tank is finished, knows nothing about warfare in the last 100 years 😂

  21. rojodogg on May 19, 2021 at 3:11 am

Tanks, towed ARTY, airborne, carriers are obsolete and not cost effective.

  22. msk64 on May 19, 2021 at 3:12 am

That light flashing on the tank at 0:25 is that to guide the missile?

  23. Eric Phillips on May 19, 2021 at 3:13 am

Land drones. Down size the tank.

The war of Armenia and Azerbaijan have woken all the military around the world.

  25. Troy Walt on May 19, 2021 at 3:15 am

I think it’s a mistake to think that Armenia was underequipped, the reality is, drones are superior to these very costly and vulnerable ancient systems, saudi arabia couldn’t handle a swarm of cheap drones targeting it’s oil fields, when it has one of the biggest defence budget in the world. They litterally fired 3 millions $ patriot missiles against a swarm of 3000 $ drones.

  26. Drew Steeves on May 19, 2021 at 3:17 am

Armour requires huge training and logistic commitments. Drones significantly reduce those commitments but are more venerable. Unit costs allow more drones and allow tactics to overcome defences. Drones are relatively low tech in that most countries can afford them , support them and create them.

  27. tricosteryl on May 19, 2021 at 3:18 am

Drones are perfect weapons for soldiers who do fear engaging their lives.

All these weapons will be soon disabled by energy depletion and climate changes

  28. George Soross on May 19, 2021 at 3:19 am

Though most of your reporting is correct, you just failed on turkish drones. In Syria they were destroyed by SDF and Russian air difference and antidrone systems. Same in Armenia in the last 2 days of the war they lost 12 drones due to electronic systems from Russia forcing them to stop any attacks. Also in the same war are the Israelis loitering drones who destroyed all those tanks. I don’t know if Armenians defeated or handed that part to the Russian military to block turkish expansion. Turkey have very low knowledge on modern warfare systems. They cannot build a simple GPS system and buy them from Canada, how possibly they can build a sophisticated drone system??

Human to survive we must erase the word war in our dictionary, otherwise we just fail like many civilizations before us. Plz remember this.

  36. Mustafa Rami on May 19, 2021 at 3:30 am

Did you know that drones can be jammed?
They don’t to be shot down with anti air defense systems
And they are systems equipped with jammers and if a drone gets jammed its basically useless

  39. airfight10 on May 19, 2021 at 3:32 am

tanks are outdated the tanks in battelfield unnecessary

  40. Ronald Zagorski on May 19, 2021 at 3:33 am

The tank has never been able to fight alone. It was always in need of support. Aerial control or dominance allows the use of armor and infantry to occupy space.
