If it says use 50-85c could I use higher? I’m a beginner??

  2. Amp-Hibious on July 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm

the way i look at C rating is like the red line on your engine RPM, you can put the throttle down but it might blow up if you have it pinned for too long. lol

  3. Moh on July 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm

I can’t believe you said it. "(1:15)….they range from 3.7 at dead to 4.2 volts at full charge." Not true, at the low end they range from 3.1v to 3.2v depending on numerous factors. Fully charged they are 4.2v. Let’s give Charles Coulomb some credit and demystify the C-rating. C does not mean capacity. C is the first letter of Coulomb’s last name. He was a French physicist in the late 1700s and is responsible for Coulomb’s Law; without it you would not have batteries.

does the background music is the same than in LiftOff radio? if not what is the name?

  6. Mr E on July 15, 2022 at 7:51 pm

World record for the amount of times the word battery is said in one video

  7. Third Eye Ascent on July 15, 2022 at 7:51 pm

I was just about to buy a 4s 200c lipo battery when I saw this video! I have definitely learned first hand everything he said is true! I have a 4s 120c 1550mah that gets longer flight time (both cinematic flight) than my 4s 100c 4000mah! Thank you Rotor Riot!

  8. Logikal Mayhem on July 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

    yo lakey beats!

  9. Heavy_Metal_Mike on July 15, 2022 at 7:53 pm

You forgot, a good thing for batteries are those cheap battery checker- buzzers. You can mount it or just plug it in and strap it with the battery.

  10. Max Thieme on July 15, 2022 at 7:54 pm

    Good info.

Just a comment on how it is put across for future maybe. Just a bit boring to listen to so much info with no camera changes or examples or anything like that. To have to sit and try absorb as much monotone info as possible is a little challanging. 😀

Really appreciate the help all round guys thanks!

they say tattu is one of the best, that might be so for light drones.
i had some for my 5inch tmotor ft5 hd, they have no punch left at the end of the flight.
    1300mah tattu 200gram
1300mah dynogy 242 gram, much bulky er.
i found out that dynogy is much better and has almost all its punch left til the verry end.
unlike those light thin tattu batteries, i think they are only good for light drones mabe.
also the 6 tattu batteries wil verry easy turn to 5s

  12. Schnorschel on July 15, 2022 at 7:55 pm

That background music sure is annoying. Please turn it down or – better yet – turn it off completely.

  13. Enzo Pedreira on July 15, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Goldbat Lipos on Amazon are good and cheap. Battery performs as it should. Got 4 packs of 1300mah 4s 100c for about 70 bucks, the batteries fly nice, but I only have about 2-3 cycles on each. Let’s see what happens in 6 months.

  14. Robert Hill on July 15, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Thunderpower sucks now but they used to killer. Payed $300 5000mah 6s 25c 1000+ cycles got one a couple years ago 55c done after50 cycles and they refused to replace it.

    Can i use a 4s lipo on a 3s drone?

  18. Jay Fullard on July 15, 2022 at 8:05 pm

    Thanks for the info!!

  19. Mark Kenney on July 15, 2022 at 8:06 pm

I enjoyed the video. I like how you use the MPC as much as a musical instrument that is played and not just as a “machine.”

  20. Diogo Fidalgo on July 15, 2022 at 8:07 pm

3.7 to 4.2? I dont use lipos but i always heard ppl using s cutoff of 3.3v… i use 18650 batteries instead and cutoff at 2.7v per cell…

  23. NASH on July 15, 2022 at 8:10 pm

I need a 10-15 min flight time for a 5 inch fpv so which battery can i choose?

  24. Elliott Bork on July 15, 2022 at 8:13 pm

I can’t find any good (for me) drones for less than 400$

  25. auto_chris420 on July 15, 2022 at 8:13 pm

    would a 2s or 4s made with 21700 3.7v 30a 4000mah battery’s be ok for a novice iv

  26. Elliott Bork on July 15, 2022 at 8:13 pm

I need to know what these brands are

  27. Josh Withrow on July 15, 2022 at 8:14 pm

That music is not helping this presentation. This episode has good potential, but I don’t think the communication was clear or concise and if this is truly for a newbie, I think that this is going to overwhelm them before they ever get thru minute 10 let alone minute 17.

  28. coliton787 on July 15, 2022 at 8:15 pm

I’m looking for the best reliable LiPo battery

    Examples would be nice

  30. Lord FPV on July 15, 2022 at 8:18 pm

How much time should i wait to charge batteries after flying while they are still warm and should i whait?

  31. Andy Wakelin on July 15, 2022 at 8:19 pm

I don’t know if RR read these comments or if RR have covered this already, but as part of this series RR should cover video channel selection for flying in a group. i.e the number of pilots possible at one time on which particular channel and power output. It’s not as easy as every one setting to 800mW and putting 8 pilots on raceband and this is not obvious when starting FPV.

  32. Mist y on July 15, 2022 at 8:21 pm

Anyone else think liftoff is open when I watch these videos

“barely dribbling out the end..” is that what Le Drib means? Ha ha that low voltage drip 💧

  35. phmountaindog on July 15, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Voltage is like the water pressure

  36. realdad32 on July 15, 2022 at 8:29 pm

Look up "battery mooch" on youtube. He is the vaping worlds premier battery expert. He talks in context of 18650 batteries but the principles are the same.

  37. toolman on July 15, 2022 at 8:29 pm

    Store them fully charged yo

  38. Traditional Guy on July 15, 2022 at 8:31 pm

Capacity is amount of water in your tank
Voltage how big the pipe is coming out of the tank to drain it.
Current is how much you can open the valve to allow the water to flow.

  39. hafis yusuf on July 15, 2022 at 8:32 pm

Exactly those 120c rating of the orange cnhl minister batteries you have on your table is all lies!!

  40. metalhed411 on July 15, 2022 at 8:34 pm

So your water 3 was a little incorrect. Capacity is like you said is how much is in a storage tank. The voltage is going to be kind of like the size of the water hose you’re using so how much water is being carried through the different sizes of hoses that you use that’s voltage. And then the intensity of the water shooting out of the hose is going to be amperage. So you can have a big hose with low amperage and the water is not going to shoot very far same thing with a smaller hose with low amperage the water is not going to shoot far either. Now going back to the big house if you have higher amperage then you have a heck of a lot of water (Volts) shooting out at a great distance with a lot of force (amps). And same thing with a smaller hose there’s less water (volts) but you can still get that water to shoot at a far distance (amps or current). Current is the rate of charge flow so use the principle of Ohm’s law to get your values. Look up ohms law for more info. I could go on all day so check it out. Learn more. It greatly helps you

  41. 007 on July 15, 2022 at 8:35 pm

I really hate the water idea. My dad tried to explain it that way to me as a kid and it never made sense. Now I’m adult and an engineer. I would never explain it this way. But I understand why you did it. It’s what you were taught so pass it on.

  42. RaygrHD on July 15, 2022 at 8:39 pm

Most battery manufacturers tend to put their "Burst" C rating in big letters, then you might find the standard C rating.

  43. Dannyb_fpv on July 15, 2022 at 8:39 pm

    What’s the intro song

  44. Danzii on July 15, 2022 at 8:39 pm

I can’t find a direct answer but is there a limit of battery cap I can use on my 6s quad copter, like I know a 6000mah is heavy and will reduce the flight agility and all that, but can I go that high or higher cap? Like will a very high cap battery damage anything?

  45. Gautam Krishna on July 15, 2022 at 8:39 pm

did he just say 3.7 at dead??? has my man never flown a tiny whoop lol
