    Hey 51 Drone,
I hope you and your family are healthy and doing welling today…under these uncharacteristic times.
I watched the suggested 🍊Orange video. I was under the impression that it was a “how to” video in reference to video editing…than a WHYY – PBS type video about Iceland 🇮🇸…😂🤣😂
…and I don’t know about you…but…a night out to dinner 🍽 with the wife…is always a $200 outing…so…$195 is about right. The second hotel appeared nicer than the first…but…it’s location wasn’t that great…to me.
All in all…it was a enjoyable video of the sights of Iceland and I may visit someday. 😃👍🏽

My mini 2 won’t go into fly mode in the dark, even though I have street lights??… if I take it bk in side it’s ok with lights on?? Also my dji fly app has basic features , no dots up top corner form menu other than the name academy

What about the Mavic mini. Since it’s under the weight regulation. Does that apply to Mavic mini also?

You should update the discription and ad the FAA Advisory Circular 91-57B to the list.
Visual line of sight is only one part, you also need to see whats on the ground under the drone, like people an vehicles.

Thank you. Great informative video. Its great he keeps reassuring the audience that his information is correct and accurate…..i dont like those that arent exactly sure with the subject matter and always offer vague statements, like "….you MAY…" instead of "you WILL"….lacking definiteness of accuracy of information.

You seem like a good guy trying to do the right thing…. By informing the public. So don’t mention the trolls on your videos. That is what they feed off of… ignoring them is the best retaliation. 👍👍👍

Rural flying is the toughest ‘night’ flying there is. No ambient/artificial light available except that provided by the moon, stars (celestial)..or the few scattered lights IF ANY. Nothing to do with legalities of course, just talking NIGHT-FLYING. Cities, metro-areas would be a cakewalk..

  12. Eyesky 09 on August 17, 2022 at 8:23 pm

Hi I subscribe to your channel so same w/ my mavic pro i need to turn off my obstacle avoidance during night flight

Have you recently updated the subject of this video with more recent information?

  16. M118LR on August 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

Flying ‘at night’..is almost a complete no-go for me in our VERY rural area. Not near enough celestial, urban lighting to discern or differentiate much at all. Dusk yeah..NOT complete dark though.

  20. Michael Surgeon on August 17, 2022 at 8:38 pm

Do you think much has changed since you made these videos in what 2018 and now? I just bought a dji mav pro 2 mainly for the camera, so much to learn about settings. and also a new pilot well at least unmanned aircraft. Any new videos coming soon?

How do you get the camera light to stay on? I use my drone to check my hog trap at night, & I can’t see anything unless I take a picture. When I take a picture it lights up the area. How do I make it stay lit up?

I know nothing about drones, but thinking of getting one. Are there infrared cameras like regular security cameras that can see clear at night? Would love to use one at night to keep an eye on my property.

I think you do a great job of explaining all the ins and outs of droning. Your articulation, pacing and rhythm are spot on. Very easy to listen to.

    Thanks a lot, soo interesting

  49. Apollos on August 17, 2022 at 9:08 pm

I believe in the U.S., in order to fly at night you also need anti-collision lights, as both a hobbyist and a part 107 pilot. I could be wrong but that’s my understanding. I bought a very bright strobe light for the top of my drone just to be on the safe side. Great video and thanks for the info!

  50. MrRaymond1021 on August 17, 2022 at 9:08 pm

At about 9:50 you pointed up towards your left shoulder for a video on adjusting the camera, but you never put the link, Orange 83 has beautiful clear video. It’s awesome.
